Great video. Made me think of my A3000. I have one that does this exact same problem. Purchased a re-amiga 3000 board and ever since it arrived, the original board hasn't skipped a beat. Will run zip test. just in case. Thank you.
Thanks Dr Chris 👍🏻 Still need to get around trying to fire up my A3K at some point. Still messing around with my A4K desktop setups still. Oh well… Cheers 🍻
Would love to get my VXL-30/RAM-32 (2MB) back up and running but some of the memory chips are bad. If I could find those 1Mx4 DIP20's needed to make it 8MB it would be amazing but they really seem to be unobtainium.
I just found this out about the Amiga 3000 power supply, always put it in the position with the switch at the top, why well if you look at it the power supply heats up because the ventilation holes which are now situated on the bottom are being blocked. I had all kinds of intermitt problems because it was heating up.Since I turned it over it has been working fantastic and my intermitt problems went away. Never thought that would be the problem, but it sure was causing me a lot of problems with this new raspberry pi 400. (I use it for powering my Raspberry pi, and my sata hard drives (sata pwr plug adapter on HD plug) like it becuae it has a switch, and can give you 17 amps for 5 volts if needed. I was going to try to fix my A3000 boards, and my A4000 but my hands shake worse then a unbalanced tire.
What happens if you don't use MMUlibs? Does the BFG9060 not work without it? MMUlibs breaks the built-in SCSI on my A4000T and the only solution is not to run MMUlibs.
works fine. might lose a few mhz, but working over crashing until firmware patches is fine by me. my other video on this 3000 with the bfg and the mmulibs covers why and what and how i got around it. is it the official fix, prob not, but works for me and helps others use the card on both 3000 and 4000T machines with scsi built in . (dont effect the ide side of the 4000t either.
@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration I performed that extraction/swap decades ago , I dont even know where those zips are at this point lol. (moved house like 3 times as well, sux)

It's nice to see everything eventually worked out. That TF card looks great, but I don't have a A3000 or A4000, but who knows what the future holds. 🙂
Mr Chris you do make magic with Amiga very impressive, Thank for a very good video😊😊

@ChrisEdwardsRestoration thanks for the answer! Is there a 68060.library that needs to be used instead then?
@@KarlHamilton i used the one with 3.2.2.1
@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration 3.2 nags me every time it boots and runs in some stupid restricted mode without MMUlibs. Frustrating.
Which mod is that at the beginning…seems like a mod file
I make my own music its not a mod
@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration Even cooler! should create a playlist for just your music!!
Only one? I had to pull 8meg worth out
Try the zip test. Its great
