Awesome video mate i have Water and the version 3 is fire, i will suggest to review Lime 2 Cola, Magenta, or Amethyst, awesome channel strips keep the good work!!!
It has 3 limiter codes; Peak, limiter, then the comp / limit / saturator. Which one to choose and why? Also; attack, hold attack, and SHMOD, why so many controls for the same thing? UPDATE: I just tried it from Water2 and yes, I can see now why the controls are needed. I'm just concerned that it's taking the plugin away from the original action of the hardware unit.
It was confusion at the beginning for me too - but now I'm used to the tweakability :) Yes it will sound a bit different from Water 2, since the old version had a slower sampling rate than the Hyper 2 tech. But the nuances of control in the 3rd one are worth it imho :)
I think the original is not that useful for modern music production though. Pretty sure it was built as a broadcast limiter in the 60's. Even in V2 they had to add release times from other units to make this more applicable for music. Just getting around to trying out this new version and it's a huge upgrade IMO.
Keep up the good job!
Super awsome
Nice video. Water 3 is an Acustica sleeper.
