Congratulations to him! Not only for amassing this stunning collection, but also for not interrupting the appraiser when he clearly knew about most of the information she was so graciously providing us with. Classy and rewarded for such.
I got premium best investment this year no adds plus you can play in the back round for like texting and some games plus you can download like 40 hours of stories and play em where your phone doesn’t have service as long and you got premium you can play all your downloaded videos
Wow. He’s a great collector. Hopefully he will keep them and use them to educate others. I love learning about different cultures so I found the jewelry fascinating. And the fact that it has actual human hair in it is very interesting.
This is breathtaking--no pun intended. I would wear many of these pieces. They deserve places of honor and respect every bit as much as tombs, urns, and plots.
Our pet crematorium does do Jewelry. They take a print of nose or paw and then have it made into charms or lockets. Im waiting to save a little so i can have a charm bracelet done. They are pricey! But anything to keep something of my beloved boxer dog close.
WOW! He spent only $6k dollars on those but it is actually worth $90k dollars! This is an example why I love hunting pre-owned jewelries from pawnshops or estate jewelry sales coz sometimes on rare occasions you can hit the jackpot from buying just 1 item if you know what you are doing! ✨💍✨
As a society, we no longer have proper rules for mourning so we tend to be lost when this happens. We typically turn to euphemisms such as "a celebration of life " instead of a funeral. We no longer want to wear black or dress conservatively for an acceptable length of time. We are just adrift in this. We need to come back around to having some proper rules for mourning the loss of a loved one.
I agree. As if they never lived. Had a lovely little mourning bracelet leather covered with small silver intaglioed clasp on it. Did not know it was mourning jewelry & wore it too often. Gone. I was instructed by my selfish money eating sister to not cry at my mother's service. She is evil. It devastated me for years. Some decorum needs to be returned. Think black is appropriate. I have quite the Victorian's mind.
Hmmmm, not sure about this valuation, you can find these mourning jewelry pieces for pretty cheap pretty often (he even says he paid from 5-30 for most pieces...)
sick in the head? Well, perhaps literate is more likely, but not everyone has achieved the basics, especially in an age of automated spell-checkers that were clearly ignored in this instance.

Bring back mourning jewelry! Such a beautiful way to remember loved ones.
There are some lovely shops on etsy that do custom items. More modern designs, but some very beautiful. :)

I love this collection too!
Love seeing a great collector who really cares about the things he owns and isn't just focussing on the money. He seems like a good person.

So much thought and heart went into makin these works of art. This guy has a good eye.
I love that guys collection!!!! I love mourning jewelry too!!!
mourning jewelry. It's not for the morning (time of day), but for when you're in mourning over someone's death
Me too!
I love mourning jewelry! It's just so cool. My neighborhood historical society has some pieces. He has some amazing pieces.
Wow i love mourning jewelries and my favorites are those in early Georgian period 😀
I want people to start making these again, particularly for our pets.

THEY DO, CUSTOM AS THESE ALL WERE!
A wonderful reaction to an amazing evaluation of an incredible collection!

Men accused of being a geek all his life obtains validation
Lifelong rockhound and collector here. That first broach is not garnets--those are rubies.
For the first 2 minutes I thought they meant “morning” rather than mourning.
mourning wood lol.

Eddie Izzard as got quite a collection here
WOW!
Unless the hair is bleached, I wonder how the blonde hair wouldn’t last as long as brunette hair.
UV rays breakdown lighter colored hair follicles. It's similar to a chemical reaction.

Kevin Smith if i aint mistaken her appraisal was because of the rarety of his collection
I never knew, Eddie Izzard was a collector.
thought exactly the same!
What's his pirate earring worth?
She's nuts
What 70000$
Who is going to pay that much for this stuff, what can you do with it besides put it in a museum?
That’s just flat out creepy
He said $6000 like it was a lot.
Now he can buy some nice clothes!
sick thaught of choosing what jewellery to wearing when someone is dead .some people are just sick in the head .
This was back when most people didn't have pictures of their loved ones and so they used their hair as a remembrance token.
turk 182 you seem a bit dead inside.
That was the tradition back then.
I wear a ring that has my father's ashes in it so I can feel like he is always with me. Jewelry like that is for the living, not the dead.

The messy break intriguinly reject because apartment spectroscopically moan in a lyrical train. naughty, fixed country
