I'm a little bummed about the weight of the rifle. The barrel is still really thick, but still lighter than the armi sport. Compared to my original CW muzzloaders, the orginals are SO much lighter. Possibly due to age drying the wood, or possibly the wrought iron barrels being lighter? Notice how your trapdoor stock is alot thinner. The rifle is very finicky with bullet diameter. An orginal or Parker Hale can shoot an heavily undersized bullet very well with the progressive depth barrel. The Pedersoli throws wild shots if a .577 diamter ball isn't used.
Right now might actually be a great time to get into black powder due to the ammo shortage lol. But either way, that's a beautiful rifle! I wish more modern rifles would be made with that level of care and style.
Very true statement on both accounts, and thank you, I feel I got a little lucky. Unfortunately we’re not the only ones with the same idea. Primers are becoming scarce as well as powder.
I stocked up on black powder and primers so lucky there but I decided to try my hand at making my own black powder anyway . So I am stocked up pretty good know !! My home made is more dirty to shoot and clean but accuracy is about same . I got 2 Pedersoli's a 1861 Springfield and a flintlock Jager . So if all goes to xxxx that flintlock will be handy !!!
I 've started posting on Rumble in case you want to view any other of my videos referencing ammo/reloading.

Nice man, I'm hoping to own one in about 2 years.

Not really, if you don’t have black powder and caps already, you can forget it. Good luck .

How about friend, where can I buy one just like the one I'm interested in?
Is airsoft?
No, full blown black powder.
