The story is that Robert ask Jason ( his god son ) to attend in his dads place. Jason told him he had a prier commitment so it was a complete surprise when he walked onto the stage. Seeing him is what brought Robert to tears. Jason wearing his dad's bowler hat and playing his drum set . Makes me tear up every time I watch it.

(50 years later, it’s the only song I recall from that magical night.). It’s tear-inducing with the all flourishes here and seeing Robert Plant’s reactions, especially.

The backing band consists largely of well-respected studio musicians. You can spot sax virtuoso Blue Lou Marini on tenor sax. The lead guitar solo was performed by Shane Fontayne. Heart was one of very few bands that Led Zeppelin openly approved of covering their stuff. John Paul Jones has worked in the studio with Heart in the past. In live shows, Heart has performed every song off LZ's 4th album. In 1978, I saw Heart live and they encore'd with 'Rock and Roll.'

A ton of people participated and it's not the band Heart, just Ann and Nancy. But to your point, the Zep guys gave Heart their blessings as far as performing any of the Zep catalog live. A year after this performance Heart did a tour with Jason's band opening and Heart's set closed with set of Zep covers and Jason on drums. Ann and Nancy asked the Zep guys prior to that tour if they had their blessings to do it.

Jason played with Plant Page & Jones at the celebration concert, he learned all the songs, listening to all of them. He wasn’t sure what all they would play, & wanted to be prepared, he studied them to play just like his father. For the celebration concert within a short time, there were requests for 20 million tickets, so they did a lottery for only 20,000 tickets. There’s so many great interviews with band members, & with Jason, I’ve loved watching them. A funny one is Plant & Page interview Japan.

Good to see I'm not the only one who sheds a tear over emotional music. It's called empathy. When you've lived on the edge of society and somehow pulled through, you feel things more deeply. And that was some emotional performance and occasion. Of the three of them, it was Robert who was most emotional. The other 2 are consummate musicians, but Robert was always the lyricist, singer and the emotional heart of Led Zeppelin.

To look at these great musicians, looking so distinguished at this stage of life (and knowing what hell-raisers they were in their youth); knowing how much great music they gave us - it's just so moving watching their reactions. Plant, holding back tears, Jimmy, looking like a proud grandfather at one moment and a exuberant, joyous kid the next - it's everything! And you, so moved by this that it made you tear up, made me tear up! Love the shot of Debbie Allen 8:13. Kennedy Center Honors did a great tribute to Linda Ronstadt, too.

The President and First Lady always host the Kennedy Center Honors - except Trump, because of the pandemic one year and who knows why the others. You should look for the full show on TH-cam, the emcee was Jack Black. This is an incredible cover. It's the layering; simple acoustic, add synths, soloist, orchestra, then chorus. More guitars, insane drumming, and why not the full choir in Bonham bowlers?! Look at the audience. From YoYo Ma to Bonnie Raitt, and how I wish I'd been there. Even up in the nosebleeds it must have been something that would sustain you for the rest of your life.

Trump couldn't care less about art(ists) - he would have hated being a part of it. Plus he knew his attendance would create tension and cast a pall over the event. That's why.

NIce reaction, I have mentioned on your page about Warren Haynes Christmas Jam. This year Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience performed and of course Warren played with them and vice versa. If you ever get a chance to see Jason Bohnam that's a show you don't want to miss!

As a drummer, you should do the studio version of "Fool in the Rain". It's a killer song and Bonzo is at his best in terms of being both incredibly heavy and swinging like crazy at the same time.

That not my first communication with you my friend, but it is fun to write to you for to letting know to you, this reaction was ones of your best. Your best reaction, because it was easy from your words, to understand that you was willing to let the sensitivity of your subconscious express the depths of your being about those Stars of LZ.
That so cool to see occasionally a man expressing for real his person about what he live at the instant of his living. Your appreciation, and tears concerning yours idols are respectful because the are real.
Merci, and my words from my french language, sorry for my English writing, continue your project, you doing it is with a lot of personality close to your intellectual, bravo et merci 👍Daniel

I just had to look it up. Apparently the guitar solo was by Michael Barakan, "known as Shane Fontayne". He's credited with playing with a lot of groups/artists, but I found the Crosby, Stills and Nash connection particularly interesting.

@L33Reacts Heart has been paying respects to Zeppelin their entire career. They were the only choice to cover this song in front of the band.

Robert Plant is a tough dude. I am sure of it. And it made him tear up. So don't feel bad. Glad you appreciated the talent of our American gems, the Wilson sisters. They are among the best rockers ever. I got to see Heart once live, and they just TORE IT UP!
