- In this video I replace a leaking hydraulic coupler for the thumb on my John Deere 35D mini-excavator, attempt replacing the teeth on the bucket, and then move on to painting the yellow paint with a rattle can of John Deere Construction Yellow spray paint. After that I used a product called Cerakote Ceramic Trim Restorer to try to make the faded black plastic look a little bit better.

I was really only planning on touching up spots with the spray can, but it just kept spraying! One can goes a long way. Thanks for watching!
lol lol “I thought it was ready to roll… but” truest statement I’ve ever heard when owning these machines lol
Story of my life 😁
A great job. It's so worth keeping your equipment looking good as well as mechanically sound. I hope you can sort out the bucket teeth.
I did finally get the pin out of the last tooth and got the new teeth on there. I actually made a short video today about it. Coming soon! Thanks!
Almost looks like a new one! Good job!
Very happy with it. Thanks!
It looks so much better. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Thanks!!
You will find it runs better now that it’s been cleaned and touched up.
It makes me appreciate it more! I'm weird like that 😁 The first thing I usually do when I buy something used is clean it up. Thanks!
Turned out really good.
Thank you! I was pleasantly surprised!
Dude, that stuff is just Armour-All.
Most of these trim renew things are, bit this is supposed to be different, but we'll see. Project Farm did a video comparing products and this one won. Supposed to last 200+ washes (on a car)
Thanks for a great video....I was getting tired but made it through to the end...Ha!Ha!
🤣 thanks for sticking through to the end!
I have a brand new mini Kubota excavator and the dang thing got dinged a few times already. Are you painting right over rusty spots or sanding it first?
I just cleaned with brake clean then painted but if you have the time and skills to sand first, I'm sure that would be better.
