  • Using My New Excavator Attachment- How Many Uses Does It Have?
    In a previous video, I showed the new Cal 4 attachment I purchased for my mini excavator giving me the ability to put any quick attach style attachment on my Kubota mini excavator. How many different chores can I do with it???

    You are working as you have a volvo mecalac with the price of a mini excavator ! Why not ?😊

    Cool attachment! The QA implements are pretty reasonably priced, and you probably already had most of them. I like it.

    Wow, Chris I've never seen a skid steer bucket on a excavator before. I think your onto something here. That worked great especially spreading gravel. A very good demonstration of your profession. You had a great idea with this. Wish you all a Merry Christmas.

    Use my 60” demo grapple for loading concrete again tucked in making the excavator a SKIDLOADER

    When digging or moving dirt concrete ect tuck your boom all the way in against your excavator straight blade and get max digging power without breaking your cylinders

    Very nice & that attachment really did expand the possible uses of the mini excavator. 👍🏻

    How are you doing man?!
    Fellow Kubota man here, and new subscriber!
    I’m looking forward to getting a skid steer adapter for my KX080. Not sure when that will be as coin is a bit short at the moment. Thank you for all the footage of one in use! Have a great end to your weekend, and stay
    safe out there! - Samuel

    Chris, I do like the versatility of your mini excavator. The Cal 4 has allowed the mini to use so many front boom attachments. I really loved the brush cutter head you were able to attach to the boom in your other video. You were able to make short work of moving the heavy rocks and gravel work in this collection of miniEx jobs. Have a merry Christmas. 👍🏽🙂

      It is an extremely versatile machine. Which is good because they are not cheap to own 😂 Merry Christmas to you as well!!

    Oh yes, that attachment is perfect!! I can see exactly where it has numerous benefits over the skid steer esp, in jobsite cleanliness! Just back dragging around a house foundation is so much less evasive with just one set of tracks instead of pulling up and backing up numerous times!! Now, I have and do operate all size excavators for years daily, honestly was there much of a learning curve with the attachments being the opposite way? As far as your normal routine? Should have been a minor curve I would guess, but my OCD might have other plans had I been in the seat 😂😂🤦🤦🤦 Awesome work Mr Chris, and looks like a well rounded addition to the mini ex!! Look fwd to seeing more of this in the future!! Thank you for bringing us along!! 😁👍

      It sure does cut down on a lot of turning and rutting things up. It really doesn't take long to get used to it. You would have it down quickly! Glad I bought it. Thanks again for watching!! 🙂

    Impressive. My forklift license is current, but it occurs to me when you put the forks on I wouldn't be confident of my abilities.
    Thanks Chris.

      LOL It actually doesn't take too long to get used to doing things backwards. Thanks for watching 🙂

  • @toddallison4390
    @toddallison4390 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the use of pallet forks alone would be worth it. I know you can buy dedicated min-ex forks, which are about the same as this adapter, but if you already own QA skid attachments, I can see this being pretty handy. I'd use the pallet forks for a tele handler box

    I have been considering a skid or mini and you just made my mind up for me. If you don’t mind me asking, why Kubota over CAT, Bobcat or any other brand? I don’t see this skid bucket option on any of the others so I’m definitely liking the Kubota for this but Carter CAT is the best support in my area so I’m open to your experience based advice. Thanks in advance!

      @dehavenfamilyfarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I bought my first mini in 2007. At that time, my local choices were Kubota or Bobcat. The Kubota had more bucket break out force when comparing similar machines, so I chose it. I have just stuck with Kubota all these years because I have had good luck with their equipment and good local dealer support. The attachment you saw in this video came from an independent manufacturing company. You can order the attachment for any brand machine. So I would stick with a brand you like that has good dealer support in your area. Thanks for watching 🙂

    Hi Chris, very useful attachment how mu h weight can you lift using the forks with your machine. Thanks Tom

    • @dehavenfamilyfarm
      @dehavenfamilyfarm  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not really sure. I would have to check the manual of the excavator for weight ratings. Might make for an interesting video to see what it can and cannot pick up. Thank you for watching 🙂

    What you need is a combination of two machines which is the Mecalac.
