Sick reviews man! There's near no content covering shoes like this, and I appreciate all your time and effort. Saved me a purchase and will go with another that offers better lateral movement. I'll be trying to go through your affiliates as you absolutely deserve it!
Just recently got myself a couple of Mizuno's, the wave mirage 4 specifically. It's supposed to be a handball shoe but it feels great for volleyball nonethenless, I gotta say I love the designs of their shoes!
Have you tried the Asics Sky Elite FF 2? You rated the original #1 in 2020, I'd be interested to see how the new version stacks up with these other new versions.
Hey coach, great review as always! There has been massive hype on the Nike Air Zoom GT Jump for being the bounciest shoe. If you could somehow get your hands on a pair to review I think it would make for some really great content!

Was okay at first, traction was slipping on dusty courts and barely any squeak but once I broke it in, it is phenomenal now. Has nice traction and good squeak. Good on dusty courts as well. Would recommend for anyone intending to purchase but break in period will be roughly a week of casual wear.
what do you mean by "broke it in"? im planning to buy these cause im oficially going to play professional volleyball, and i want to know if these will be the right choice for a setter, since they will probably be the ones ill wear for a few years

yayyyy I was looking for these!
Been playing in these for about a month now every day and I've grown to like them. I think they run a half size big and wish I would've gone down half a size. The upper is very soft but it's thin and so tightening it down enough starts to hurt the top of my foot a bit. But after 30 min or so they stretch and feel fine. Performance wise, they have been awesome. I've always played in Kobe 6s but mine just bit the dust, and the difference with these while playing is hardly noticeable (except for the bigger fit). Super great cushioning and court feel, and a nice outrigger for stability. The bottom isn't hard flat like the Kobes - they rock when just set on the ground, but in them I feel very stable with the nice outrigger. Definitely the best Mizunos I've ever tried and worth the money. Just maybe go a half size down if you don't have wide feet!

In the netherlands you see allot of players on the mizuno Wave lighting z7. Thats the more responsive mizuno shoe for the lightweight outside hitters like myself or the libero.

After playing in these for about 5 months straight, they’re definitely good shoes, but they need improvements. As an MB mainly, the hard cornering grip is good, but the transition can be tricky. Overall grip on clean floors is phenomenal, but a little tricky with dust involved. Because my feet are normally sized, my heel actually developed a significant callous/blood blister after long days of play. You do need a half size down if you’re not wide. Materials are hard wearing, but the neoprene like upper absorbs WAY too much moisture/sweat, and they’re actually uncomfortably wet after a long tournament, leading to more blister in my experience. The laces are also ridiculously long, I used all the holes and they still hung on the floor so I had to tuck them. The insole, while comfy, wore out far too quickly for my play style, perhaps outsides and others would experience slower wear.
Do they feel bouncy? And also, when you try to change direction does your foot push the mesh outside of the sole, leading to delayed reactions?

I looked at yours 2 videos on wave momentum 1 and 2 to make a choice. I noticed a contradiction with the previous one.
You specify that wave momentum 1 are not reactives on laterals movements in this video (0:34) while in the previous video you say that by pushing hard laterally the shoes are very responsives (4-04)... In addition, you specify in a summary their responsive (6-04)... I am confused.
So wave momentum 1 are more responsives than wave momentum 2?

I’m still having doubts choosing between the Wave Lightning Z7 Mid or the Wave Momentum 2 (Mid). I do play as setter most of the time (80%) but I can also play outside or diagonal attack. I do prefer shoes with good ankle joint support and I’m wearing quite thick ankle braces. I’m afraid the Wave Momentum 2 will be to small to get in because of the sock. When I was tounger I always wore Asics but the last 6 years I always wore the latest Mizuno Lightning version. It’s not that I’ m unhappy with the Lightning model but I’m getting a bit older now and slower so now I prefer to have stability because of my weaker ankles. Can you help me with my choice?
Hello, what shoe did you get? I am making a decision between Wave Lightning Z7 Mid and Asics Elite FF MT 2. Don't know which one to buy. I want a shoe to make me jump a little bit higher.
After fitting both of them I choose the Lightning Z7. With my ankle braces the Momentum felt to narrow. Still happy with the Lightning after 1 season playing, no damage and pretty durable. I think Mizuno’s are a bit lighter in feel than Asics’ wich can have an impact on your jump height.
@@TheFlorrie2709 nice, how's the traction of th z7? I played mostly on nike shoes. Last shoe I used was GT cut low, the traction was horrible on dusty indoor court.

Great. Very Light and responsive shoe. I ve been playing the z's for years now. The z7 is one of the best. I use the mid for more stability as outside Hitter.
