Hello; what is exactly the different part or change that you are seeing? I see that is exactly as JKA is doing since Nakayama Sensei videos. You see those shifting with Ogura Sensei here the same with Enoeda; Osaka and Imura Sensei... By the way; I understand your point about useless changes in Kata but again, I do not see any differences in the JKA norm regarding JITTE
@@TheReverb1 E.g. 2.36 minutes it is now kaki uke (once was Haito uchi/uke). While it's no big deal, on JKA courses that I have attended in my 50 plus years training, the phrase 'the kata never change' is common. You will find similar tinkering in Gankaku & so forth. TBH I am finding JKS closer to the Nakayama versions of kata.
@@BelloBudo007 I never heard about Kaki uke I know kakiwake uke but that is other technique. Could be a subtle difference but watching again the Nakayama series I almost see the same (may be I am dumb) Regarding the "never change". I think that in Shotokan (in most iterations) there is a lack of self defense (A.K.A: kARATE or the budo; jutsu part) even the kumite is sport oriented. With that scenario, JKA that is the bigger try to reinvent themselves to still offer something "new" to the masses (where the money is) Nobody (only small %) wants to go to a real Karate class (Kihon then self defense-extract of parts of Kata to study and train-shadowing; to punch bag and makiwara and strengthen the body (hojo undo) Decades ago they saw (even before Nishiyama Sensei noticed that when he moved to USA...) that the money is in the children, kids and recreational approach of Karate to maintain a big association. They did not saw and still do not see the self defense implication in a society, that as you know is very safety (I lived in Japan few months and probably you too?) that try to keep values on top hence they cannot perceive the real meaning (like in some small dojo or obscure ryu); Even most of their bunkai are meaning less.
I have never seen this change from haito uchi to kake on the 4th movement either. I'm pretty sure it is listed as haito uchi even in Nakayama sensei book best karate series.
Well i was wrong. I got out my Best karate book and sure enough the 4th move it listed as kake uke not haito uchi. I swear this feels like a mandela effect. I have been practicing this kata for over 20 years and to my knowledge it has always been haito uchi.
Excellent performance. Thank you for sharing this wonderful explanation about Kata Jitte. Thank you Ogura sensei. Oss
What was the point of these katas, when they were actually supposed to have been performed with a staff (bo).?
Great master and class. Osu!

*Who is this Sensei teaching? Great class. Please include the details in description. OSU*
