I came here after watching Fil of Wings of Pegasus doing one of his very in depth analyses of your cover of We’ve Only Just Begun. He was so impressed and really knows his stuff so I came here to watch some more of your videos. I’m loving what I’ve seen so far and am a new subscriber.
Don’t know about a tour, but I would love it if they would record Karen’s full catalog with todays quality recording equipment I would buy that in a heartbeat

Blending with an incomplete "ensemble" that can't respond to each other in real time is damn hard, folks. No amount of Vocalign, Autotune, and digital sorcery can generate the secret sauce. Nice. After searching around a little, I see Fil/Wings of Pegasus picked up on this too.

OMG. From the second Tori started singing - I was covered with goose pimples!! The hair stood up on my arms! Absolutely PERFECT! She NAILS Karens inflections, range, evocativeness! As close as I've ever heard someone capture Karen Carpenter - an UNTOUCHABLE!!
She doesn't quite have the richness and timbre of Karen's voice, yet, and she misses some of the little in-betweens but she's very close and very pleasant to listen to. Very nice. Not Karen, but a very nice tribute to her legacy. 🙂
This is eerie. Saw the carpenters live in Vegas 71 I think when I was 13. She was still behind the drums at the time. This young lady is very close to Karen but I can still hear differences. That being said excellent performance!

54 of them to be exact. No one not named Carpenter recreated The Medley in its original “jazzy” format until Tori did last October and Jim joining Tori and honoring the format now. Others slowed it down, changed songs, not the original.

I’ve seen a few reaction videos to Tori’s spellbinding cover with the genius production of Jim. Every single reaction video is met with wonder and you can see their smiles grow. This aurally amazing cover has taken listeners back to a beautiful bygone era, brought back beautiful memories. Tori we need you to rise, to succeed and to inspire a disenchanted Gen Z that there’s beauty in this world. Gen Alpha needs to hear these songs play in the background and as they grow up they revisit these songs and hear the beauty in these lyrics.
Wow, Tori has all the natural ease and musicality of Karen Carpenter. They are both rare contraltos. Tori's voice is just a tad fuller, which is, if anything, a good quality. Those of us who are old enough to remember real music thirst for more. I would like to hear Tori sing something original that is composed for her voice.

Being a Karen Carpenter fan from too many years ago, I was stunned the first time I heard Tori sing. The more I listened to her, the more I realized how exact her voice compared. She even has the little lisp that Karen had. Fun to listen to.
I listen to alot iof music, its my safe place , im terminally sick from a punch , its given me extreme depression and anxiety severe night terrors and extreme ptsd with suicidal tendencies, when i clise ny eyes especially when Tori sang weve only just begun , i was litterly in 17th October 1970 watching the ed sullivan show and karen was playing drums in her iconic yellow dress singing this. Tori's voice is blessed with a range of octaves that will put her up there with the finest vocalists in the 2024-2044 timeframe.I appreciate her for her talent and for her ability to get "inside" the soul of Karen Carpenter,I think that has helped her recreate that distant sadness and despair Karen felt deep down in the inner layers of her psyche when she performed,especially in the last years of her life.

A girl Tori's age doing these songs once again proves what I've been saying for years; Good is Good and will always be Good. For as long as humans exist they'll always go back to this ear (60's-70's) to cover and recreate the best music. They will not be covering any songs post (maybe the 80's). We have run out of great, there's nothing left-it's all been done. Speaking of "Great," Bravo/Brava Jim & Tori.

Tori did the heavy lifting on this one. Based on a backing track that Richard made for the Japanese Karaoke market. She’s all the voices that are NOT Jim! Jim came in and did his magic adding more Richard. ❤ Gave it that beautiful lower tone.
Second, separate comment... i don't think i've ever heard the first song in the medley before. 6 full decades on the Earth, and a huge fan of Burt Bacharach - and i'm hearing it like brand new in 2024 CE! I rather love it. Brilliantly performed, without, it seems, any edit to the main vocal performance. Brava, & Bravo!

Tori's voice is blessed with a range of octaves that will put her up there with the finest vocalists in the 2024-2044 timeframe.I appreciate her for her talent and for her ability to get "inside" the soul of Karen Carpenter,I think that has helped her recreate that distant sadness and despair Karen felt deep down in the inner layers of her psyche when she performed,especially in the last years of her life.
I could only smile hearing Tori just as i did when hearing the original KC voice. Such a smooth and gracious voice! I'm a fan, Tori!!!
