Yes, Tori sounds alot like both Karen Carpenter and Olivia Newton-John. BUT... This young lady has quite alot of talent and natural ability all on her own! Don't sell her short by assuming that all she will be doing are covers of Carpenter songs etc. She's going places and I can't wait to hear more of her original material!!

One detail that breaks the illusion is she pronounced “shattered “ like an American (I am American too) instead of like an Aussie or Brit where they pronounce the “t”s and we tend to soften them to sound like “d”s. Maybe it’s not all about imitation as this stands on its own as a great performance.
Karen and Olivia are two of my all time favorite singers that I grew up with. I just came over from your Carpenters cover "Yesterday once more" and all I can say is WOW...Great job!!! I really wish this type of music would make a comeback.

Dan can sing besides playing nearly every instrument and Tori plays guitar and sings like an absolute angel. I've since gone on a Tori deep dive and discovered she's a vocal dead ringer for the late, great Karen Carpenter. Just an amazing pair of talents. Thanks to everybody involved, that was wonderful.

Very nicely put together! If you re-listen to Cliff Richard's vocals, yours are not that far off! And Tori is just sublime, as usual. Besides the obvious vocal similarity, more importantly, Tori captures and expresses the joy and honest emotion that Olivia always brought to her music. I saw Olivia live on stage in 1974, when she had a few country cross-over hits in the States. Of course, as a teen, I fell instantly in love with her and her voice. Her career just kept on growing after that. Xanadu wasn't a great movie, but the soundtrack was a big hit. And "Suddenly" is the best track of them all in my opinion. You both did it justice.. Having these songs and music brought up to date in the 21st century by beautiful music and incredible voices is phenomenal! I’m 48 (still rather young) but I love these songs and you guys’s renditions couldn’t be better!
