I played with my Tune up Tower and Hot Wheels hour after hour! Great simple FUN! In my youth.... After watching this I may have a New/Old Hobby again! Thanks for the Great Memories and Video!
I really enjoyed all of your videos! As a young boy then I played with a smaller race set up without a charger. It was great then. All the best from 🇩🇪.
Mattel let the license /patten expire on some of these race sets..Not sure if they can get it back...Nor get the original designer to allow a remake ! Trust it all...Mattel do know today kids would have a blast with playing with the original sets If the company reproduced them putting them back on the market..
Wonderful video, re-activates old Hot Wheels memories in my aging brain. Also appreciate how you add little touches, in this case a blue square pad to help stabilize the tower, very helpful tips.
I like the vintage superchargers way better than the newer superchargers - the old ones you could adjust the speed if you wanted, the newer ones you cannot adjust the speed on them. So sad they had to cheapen them up like that. Love your videos!!
I've got 8 tune up towers that I restored but would like to find someone who can replicate the stickers that came with this. Especially the Dyno sticker. If anyone know how to do those or make repo sticker set for the tune up tower PLEASE contact me. I swear, everytime I watch your videos I find new cars I want or track sets i want to add to my collection. Over the past year I know have a garage packed with vintage sets. I CAN"T STOP COLLECTING!!! I'm addicted. LOL
I have all the TUNE up tower stickers because I have 5 Tune -Up towers i never applied the stickers to....But to make copies of the sticker sheet I haven't done..
Hi. Can u please show a video of inner works by removing case. Im not able to find one online. But i can make one for my son. Just trying to get some ideas. Please show us double booster. Is it two motor or one motor.
If I had to collect any line of Redlines (Which I got many) Still It would be to have all the Heaveyweight series This Tune of Tower video is so fantastic ... I have all the 1969 to 70s Redline track race sets ..Wish I could find the time to set them all up in my business basement and once again play with them all .. But being so business busy It hasn't allowed me that time to do so.... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Yes, but I had to fudge the 2 foot section of track coming off the top of the tune-up tower by making it a little longer with another joiner and a small piece of track.
I bought my son several of the top Hot Wheels sets on eBay...he had no interest...prefers Technology stuff... I was so excited hoping he would like the toys I had when I was young but he wasn't interested... I'm a 57 years old man with a 6 year old boy!
Hello Smackeral Cafe I love your videos. One question, do you have the light speeders challenge track? I would like to see a video of her. I congratulate you on your videos.
In our backyard we provide bird seed to feed the chickadees and nut hatches that over winter in our area. For the longest time we have called our backyard "The Smackeral Cafe". Smackeral is a Winnie the Pooh ism for eating. Specifically for eating honey. When I started this TH-cam site I needed a unique name and a Google search for Smackeral Cafe came up empty so I figured "why not?"
Get it to indonesia look for the cimanggis if u see gate 1 go strait and to the cricle road strait go left that says safir striat left right on the emty house a bit to the left and there
I got the Tune-Up Tower for Christmas 1971! I was five years old and BEYOND excited!
Thanks for sharing this video. I don't recall having this, but I will always remember my HOT WHEELS youth!
Too cool! Way back in the early '70s I had the exact same. At the age of 54 years, I'd still play. Heck Yeah!
Very Cool. I got lost in my childhood watching.

I have 5 Tune -Up towers all works ... I built this set and It works quite well with my redline cars..
I never knew you could fix the wheels like that. Amazing. Why no more new video in past two years. This is great content.
My friend had this set up in his driveway. This was the same driveway we learned to skateboard on using plywood with roller skate wheels attached. 🤙😎✌
Great video! What a treat to see the old Redlines run! 👻
loved this - so many memories! I got the Sprint Set in 68

@@leewilson2010 You can get the repo stickers on eBay now.
@@leewilson2010 Why don't you simply scan your sticker sheet with a decent scanner and then print them on decal paper?
I wish I had the tune up tower, my cars sometimes run really slow. I love these tracks, so cool! Where do you get them?

Wait....no Heavyweights Tow Truck on standby? (just kidding) Great set and excellent video.

I had a lime-green Boss 302 Mustang. I got in a trade for a Monkees AMT(?) model car. AMT used metal axles and real rubber tires.
John, for the orange track did you use six x 1 foot, six x 6 inch, and three x 2 foot and two purple joiners?
Yes, but I had to fudge the 2 foot section of track coming off the top of the tune-up tower by making it a little longer with another joiner and a small piece of track.
The original 16 were much heavier..
Out of curiosity (as I'm not sure if this was asked or answered in another video),does the tune up wrench also work on modern Hot Wheels cars?
I bought my son several of the top Hot Wheels sets on eBay...he had no interest...prefers Technology stuff... I was so excited hoping he would like the toys I had when I was young but he wasn't interested...

I miss when the track system was more similar to a real race track as opposed to the current "chain reaction" style.
L00PdeL00P's Channel Yeah. I miss that too.
I agree as well. Booster strength is also horrible compared to older ones.
Hello Smackeral Cafe I love your videos. One question, do you have the light speeders challenge track? I would like to see a video of her. I congratulate you on your videos.
Sorry, I do not have the Light Speeders Challenge track.
+Smackeral Cafe
OK thank you for answering.
No oh no oh no no no no
Have any idea where to get new stickers for Tune -up Tower?
Could I use the lube on newer cars?

How much did this cost when it came out
I'm just saying it doesn't look like high wall track... Is it?
Are you guys an actual cafe like the name implies?
In our backyard we provide bird seed to feed the chickadees and nut hatches that over winter in our area. For the longest time we have called our backyard "The Smackeral Cafe". Smackeral is a Winnie the Pooh ism for eating. Specifically for eating honey. When I started this TH-cam site I needed a unique name and a Google search for Smackeral Cafe came up empty so I figured "why not?"
Smackeral Cafe Oh, I thought you were an actual cafe and you did this as a hobby. That's why I asked where this "Cafe" actually is a while ago.
Thx's HPatne62, I m glad u asked, smackeral is great 🔧🔧🔧🧰🧰🔧
Where did you buy this set?
Regarding the track set, everything you see comes from eBay.
Smackeral Cafe Oh,ok. Thanks! Gonna buy it.
The towing team need retraining or replacing, because their driving skills suck!!!
