Lol, Dad, I keep some boxes and paper towel tubes for projects also. 😉 Kids also love to build forts and houses with the large boxes. One time I made a doll house that folded flat. It had wall paper, cut-out doors/windows, cloth curtains on li'l rods. ( But the REAL gift was everything i made to fill the house, including a tiny real paper towel roll, bedroom furniture made out of different-sized match boxes, 300+;pieces of baked-clay items, like a fridge full of foods, wooden pantry full of dishes & cookware, and "sets", like BBQ grill and changeable kebab foods, a smoothie/juice bar, a farmer's market stand ( with produce/items found in Hawaii, including niece's fave market snack: musubi), many outfits made from real cloth (a ball gown, an Ancient Egyptian outfit with beadwork, etc), etc --- I LOVED the creative aspects of parenting. Happy to see you do too, Dad. The tubes made a terrific skeleton (with a papier maché head) for a Halloween skit. Another year I made a Christmas tree for an unexpected gathering.
And I was impressed with myself one Halloween for making a Lego costume for my son out of a cardboard box, six sour cream bowls and a can of blue spray paint. This is WAY better.
Bro what do you do for a living? Because I’m in the trades and you’ve built this life by being a tradesman it would give me a lot of motivation to keep it up.
