Summers seems like she has the most motive and has threatened him before. I think Summers and Garrett are blaming Erica to try to take the heat off themselves. Just my opinion but either way the children are the ones who really suffer, now growing up without a dad 😔
Summer seems like she is violent and unhinged. My gut tells me Summer had something to do with his murder. Prayers for his family and friends 😢

Finally a story about Matt. It's been almost a decade. 😭 There was more to the story, including total corruption going on within the BPD during the time if Matt's murder which totally hindered the investigation. Matt deserves justice.
Was there corruption having to do specifically with this case (the ex having friends/family on the force for example) or just crap going on leading to shoddy police work on all cases? It is sad, I watch A LOT of true crime cases but this is the first time I remember hearing this story. Seems like the ex was the only with something to gain. It’s stomach churning that she got just what she wanted … custody of the kids. The fiancé left broken hearted without Matt was probably icing on the cake for her. Smh I know if I was going to unalive my significant other I’d probably do it IN the house, not outside where there’s more chance to be seen & it’s going to be found out sooner. The fact that Garrett is saying how they think it’s because Matt was going to break up with the fiancé & what he probably said to her, blah blah blah is crazy too… as though Matt would confide in them of all people about his relationship, tell them details he obviously didn’t mention to his own brother/family just made me roll my eyes. I hope one day they get justice for Matt. Summer just seems like one of those greedy evil “I don’t want you but i don’t want to see you happy with anyone else” type. Smh

@@itsmedelaney4285 The corruption isn't directly linked to the case that I know of, but from 2012-2015 there was an investigator who was confiscating drugs and then selling them instead of checking them into evidence. I would not be surprised if other duties, such as investigating murders, took a back seat to these crimes during this time. edit- If you watch the documentary Killing County, it goes into more detail about the corruption.

THAT is the answer, is that couples who marry each other don't always love each other, it's very often that they marry out of things like familial obligation, financial benefits, the desire for children, and the desire not to be alone at a certain age even if they're with someone they don't like very much.

There’s a thin line between love and hate, those strong feelings turn into something else when one partner betrays the other or something like that, then you get situations like this.
Summer is a narcissist. She cheated her husband and got pregnant. Garret is morally bad too. Knowing Summer has a husband with four kids and why didn't he avoid her? They're both selfish ruining the lives of these five people. The kids growing up with no father and murdered. Here they both planted bad seeds. I don't think both of them will be happy. Their initial hidden, exciting and hot romance will fizzle out. Summer wants everything in her own way as you can see she's always in rage and violent while Garrett thinks he'll be happy.
Mark 4;22 " For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible; nothing is secret except to come to light." I'll pray for justice to the family of Matt and family.
Sad thing is no mention of those children have relation with dads family … they already started brainwashing Erica murdered their Dad ! One thing for sure ! Someone murdered him ! RIP! Pray the murderer or murderers Come to light ! How did it happen in front yard in neighborhood no one had cameras and no one saw ! No screams nothing ! So it seems two people ! Then knowing his children right there ! Not knowing would be so hard !

Erica facial expression and eye contact seem mess up. Her eye movements keep throwing me off, she keep looking around when answering the questions. No neighbour had door cam or heard any argument??
Erica is my sister in law. In no way was she involved. No neighbors have any cameras …. The investigation was botched by a dirty detective / all evidence now not admissible. Summers changed the kids names & moved out of state. NEVER helps to find the killer of her kids father, just the opposite… Because she did it .

And how about her weird eye movements and looking away when she is asked and then answers questions. Strange.
That whole diatribe made her sound sketchy. “Why would I this? Why would I that?” She sounded like a defence lawyer trying to plant reasonable doubt instead of an innocent person insisting they didn’t do it. Also, that note that he apparently left for her that morning didn’t have a date on it. It’s totally the kind of thing that a woman in a new relationship would put away somewhere.

I'm on the fence about who killed Matt. But if I were a guy, I'd stay clear of both Sumer and Erica. Both seem a bit unhinged. And was it just me or is Erica still living in "the nice house" that Matt and she lived in together?

I was thinking the same thing. Garrett was looking straight into the camera when he answered the questions but Erica couldn't even look at the camera or Interviewer when she answered the questions... js it's a tell that she is lying. And of course they would think its his ex. So Erica can use that to her advantage. Just my opinion.
If Erica wanted to kill Matt, she would've waited until married to inherit everything. Her body language was not at all suspicious she's emotional and grieving. As for Garrette he strokes me as a person whose practiced his speech. Then he clearly lies and says they've moved 4 times for fear of their lives? From who?

I noticed that too. I think the kids heard them arguing and maybe Matt said he wanted out because he was tired of the constant fighting between Erica and Sumer. He wasn't getting any peace most likely Erica kept @itching about Sumer. The kids told Sumer and Garrett. That's how they found out. Matt had to have made some noise on the front lawn.... how did Erica miss that. I really think she used Sumers previous actions caught on video against her....and it worked.
The way Erica puts on a show is very suspicious. Also how fast she got with another man after everything. It’s all just weird it wouldn’t surprise me if Erica was the one who did it.

and Eric is already pregnant by somebody else yeah I think because of the divorce and the custody thing everyone automatically is pointing their finger at summer, but if you look at it from outside the box, objectively seems very guilty the way she laughs when they talk about him being stabbed and murdered the way she blinks 1 million times only when they’re talking about if she had any involvement she’s pretending there’s no tears i believe she is guilty and it’s not hard to pretend to be asleep if that’s her alibi that her mom came in and found her asleep. It’s really not hard to fake being asleep.

The first story is nuts. Erica was quick to marry Matt even though he was neck deep in dealing with his ex Summers in a ugly custody battle? That's a lot of baggage to deal with in trying to start a serious relationship. It makes me question how desperate was Erica. Then we find out Erica is pregnant, but Matt isn't the father. Sooooo Erica moved on and got knocked up by another guy after Matt got murdered? Quick turnaround? Sounds suspect to me. Summers came off as psycho in the video. I have no idea how these people coming into this drama felt comfortable with dealing with so many serious issues. Are people this desperate to be in a relationship these days?
I also found Erica a bit suspicious, her body language was off.
Sumers was pregnant with Garretts baby when Matt was murdered. This crime watch daily interview was 3 years after Matt's murder so Erica didn't get pregnant right away
I can't imagine how there 4 kids lived in any peace with mom cheating then mom and dad have boy friend and girlfriend. Summers got pissed when Matt moved on. Summer did it I think . She wanted to have control over him also. So sad for the children and friends and family.

It seems to me, Somers is the one person who would loose the most in this case - Erica killing her fiancee makes no sense, a new house, raising his kids together, getting married, mapping out a life together -a happy couple. Garret is as delusional as Somers is....Have to wonder if Somers planned it, & Garret was bullied to go along with it. Somers seems off the rails & a control freak, & probably capable of it, doesn't want her ex but doesn't want anyone else to be with him either...a control freak!!!

That estranged wife and her at the time fiance definitely did it themselves (the woman was bold enough to stab him with car keys while knowing he was recording it) or they hired someone or had a sibling or someone carry out the deed. What a terrible situation.
Erica did say some concerning things. When she mentioned she had a nice house. If Matt left her, she'd lose that nice house. Both women are not prizes. Ex wife stabbed him with a key and he got it on camera.. .. current girlfriend saw the video and used it to blame the crazy ex for the murder. Erica was voice crying about Matt's murder but there were no tears. My opinion both women are crazy.... just one is smarter than the other and used the others actions to cover her crimes.

The child is priority and even when hurt happens the truth the Heavenly truth will prevail. Sadly it seem as money and connections sometimes don't allow the honest truth to cone out. But the longevity and healing should be focused children safety love security healing is the best. Keep adult issues separated and never lies nor doing bad things never. Also it does hurt when being the bigger person and silent without outsiders knowing the reality of the trauma and problems causes seemingly more problems. Confusion, hurt and pain does seem to be forever but NEVER DO HARM AND NEVER LIE!!!! ❤
