She remembers before the shooting, until a few hours before, then nothing until recovering in the hospital.

There is just WAY too much evidence missing, to make some sort of calculated guess, as to whether it's the boyfriend or not.. gut feelings have proven to be wrong also, the girl, blinded by love, and missing part of her memory, does not make her a reliable source for evidence, and the fact of her boyfriend wanting to marry her, so she can't testify against him, doesn't look good for him either..
