Saw them live in Montreal 2 weeks ago. Her voice has matured a bit and she has a different stylistic approach to the Fallen tracks, but it still sounds so delightful to the ears. The Bitter Truth tracks were amazing as well! There was also The End Of The Dream which she began singing in acapella, it was so mesmerizing with that surround concert sound.
I watch other Opera singers analysis but your uniqueness makes you stand out by helping others vocal and that visual graphics explanation. Since my stroke I'm now only a mezzo soprano and fighting my way back to music. Thank you for your dedication to speaking and visual analysis. You gained a sub after seeing your Evenesence I just love Amy Lee.
@jessicasopranonotes Check out Amy Lee singing acapella the 1980s version of Cruel Summer Bonus she's also playing the piano. It's on her personal yt account
As much as I appreciate people reacting to Evanescence. It’s becoming quite sad that people mostly react ONLY to their early stuff. They’ve grown so much and Amy has evolved as a musician quite a lot
she is so talented, maybe the best voice of her generation, and I know there was alot from 2000 to now that came out, but she can do the high and do the haunting sound so well, when she starts singing I always know it's her singing in 3 seconds, ha. Please do more of Amy Lee an Evanescence.
Great analysis, Jess 💜 Would love to see End of the Dream (Synthesis version live) being covered in the future :] Or maybe Speak to Me? I really like the performance in New Orleans...
Kudos for aknowledging that very often live videos - especially TV shos and "official" lives - are actually comped from different performances and heavily post-produced. I think many people don't realise that. Very often the vocals get also pitch-corrected, but from a quick analysis I made it doesn't seems to me like it's the case here (although I could be wrong), it looks like she's genuinely very accurate. From what I've seen, pitch-correction is almost ubiquitous in pop music (even "live", if they're singing at all instead of miming), but it's used much less in metal.
amazing reaction!! amy is one of my fav singers, her voice has evolved so much tho through these years. aging like wine~ could you react to lover to lover by florence + the machine, please? there are many videos, the official one, a studio live recording and many other live ones
So the reason why there are jump cuts is because Amy wanted it that way. It’s suppose to give the perspective of someone watching from the audience, like the fans point of view. And it was shot in one take, maybe there might be manipulation of pitch correction but all honestly I can’t tell and she just really sounds that good live. Evanescence did do another live album Synthesis Live and there I could def tell there was pitch correction and they added layering on some notes that are different when comparing a fan’s live video from that same recorded concert. Btw I love Evanescence. They’re my fav band 😊
now, if you really want to hear this performed well live, you have to check out Amy singing this with the Wagakki band, live in Japan! th-cam.com/video/hk1GtYK7BJM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lyg7mNdyr6AbooXD
Yup, it's confirmed...I still have a crush on Amy Lee. I saw them in 2004 and it absolutely blew me away how her voice was even more powerful live than it seemed in recordings. A lot of artists underdeliver when it comes to their live shows. Not Amy Lee.
I would loove if you'd check out the version from last year's rock am ring, where Jacoby Shaddix did the male vocals - they go perfectly together! If not for yt, pls listen for yourself, but don't miss out on it.
I've been an Ev fan for 20 years and have never heard that bit about splicing different live audio. I kinda wish I hadn't 💀 My counterpoint would be that some songs during that show are shakier vocally (compared to this one -- high bar), and not consistently amazing like you'd expect if it was spliced. So my vote is that the vocals are unedited 🙏
Cool reaction, but I would have prefered - just out of respect for the artist - the version without the rap crap, which was apparently forced into the track by the producers against Amy Lee's will. You can read about how that came to be on even on wikipedia. And I would second the suggestion to review The Warning. There have not been many original new rock bands with significant impact in the last 10 years and they are quite an exception in the current crappy music industry.
Seen her live more than once. Perfection EVERY time.

I was there as well! Fantastic show! (Was my 16th show)

we congratulate your camera being nicely focused on the guitar at the background...lol
The quality of musicianship of this live performance is stunning from top to bottom!
Just saw them a few weeks ago... AMAZING!!!

Thank you, Bridget! Praying for good health your way 💛 stay positive

You are my favorite person to react to these gems! TYSM!!!
Thank you! 😊
@ can you please react to Tebaldi’s Un Bel Di Vedremo
Couldn’t agree with you more about Amy. Love the review! Thank you.
Great suggestion!

Em, yesss! Amy's voice rock my soul too. I'd probably lose my mind if I ever get to see her LIVE in concert. Take care. 🎶
Great analysis, Jess 💜

What a performer!🎉❤

Love this analysis even though I don't know anything about music techniques.

Amy lee is a Goddess. Love the review and reaction. Please react to more of Evanescence like Lost in paradise

this version with them is a whole other level of perfection. One of my favorite live performances for sure
Amy Lee's Voice so Angelic and Haunting
This was filmed from one show live in Paris .
The rotation of camera shots was to make the dvd more entertaining I guess
Thank you.
You're welcome 😊
I am interested in your videos and I was hoping that you would repeat your analysis of Fawzia's songs because we enjoy your analysis.
You might enjoy Rob and Austin from "Home Free " (although Austin is no longer with the group) sing Nessun Dorma...
More Amy Lee
Other live performances of her recent concerts and her newer album
Synthesis album is with an orchestra
Please reacting to that album
Love your reactions :) You should react to Beth Hart. She is amazing. "Caught out in the rain" "Am I the One" etc. Live performances... 😁
Try Pink Floyd's The Great Gig in the Sky - The original - The others are good, but the original is something and worth looking into.

Please React to Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi - BINI
This is definitely just the audio from that dvd all the way back in like 2004
I would loove if you'd check out the version from last year's rock am ring, where Jacoby Shaddix did the male vocals - they go perfectly together! If not for yt, pls listen for yourself, but don't miss out on it.
Have you looked at Grace Potter and The Nocturnals official video of the song The Lion The Beast The Beat ? You would like it
Amy Lee is awesome.
She really is!

Hi, check this singer: he can sing pop ,rap rock, punk, metal, operetic Falling in Reverse , The drug in me is Reimagined.... Mind-blowing
You should check out Corey Taylor - Snuff acoustic live
131 m views, it's worth a look.
Amy Lee and Wagakki Band would be another one you'll enjoy.
👍👍👍💋❤❤🙂🙂
I didn’t realize how good of a singer she was until I heard so many otherwise good singers butcher her songs in singing competition shows.
Amy is best female singer 😊😊😊
Stargazer plz
Your camera likes your guitar :) You might want to set it to f8 and light the room accordingly.
Or simply set autofocus spot to the left area
Jessica, we need to see The Warning on your channel
Jotted down!
@jessicasopranonotes thank you. A hug

We need a collab of Amy and Floor❤❤❤❤
Fan girling lol
BMTL is a big hit, but IMHO much more interesting to analyze is Lithium , End Of The Dream (live version) , Good Enough....Maybe next time 🙂
Took fooorreeeeever to get a couple end of a dream live performances
She actually sounds better now
No. Not even close.
The singer reminds me of Floor Jansen 😂
Evanescence was before Nightwish.
@ really! Wow
