    I just got my 1750 all set up and running. The deck cushioning knob was completely inoperative. That part came reassembled. I was really impressed by Nordictrack’s customer service though. After about 15 minutes on the phone, they are sending a technician out to fix it.
    One kind of weird feature, is that the screen does not go to sleep. The only way to turn the screen off is to unplug the machine. And Nordictrack does recommend that you do this. That seems like a design flaw. Where my machine is situated it is not convenient to unplug the machine after each use.

      Please see the solution posted above about the cushioning knob.. It is a bit hard for the first time but once you know how to release the bar it gets smoother "the knob isn't really strong enough to move the bar on its own. To adjust the cushioning, I have to actually fold the treadmill so the deck is inverted. I then turn the knob with one hand while I push the bar with the other into position. It locks up inside the U-shaped anchor to brace the deck, and pops out of the U-shaped anchor to release the deck and amplify the cushioning. For the video, we demonstrated turning the knob to move the bar, but really, it takes two hands and is best done when the deck is lifted. Hopefully, this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions."

      The Sole F80 or Sole F85 are both good options. The new 2021 Sole F85 has a touchscreen whereas the Sole F80 is a basic LCD screen. Neither requires a subscription for workout content.

      The closest one is probably the Sole F85. It has a 10" touchscreen on the 2021 model with a few preloaded external apps (CNN, Netfllix, Hulu, etc.). But it doesn't require its own subscription to operate.

    Great review! I recently purchased the 1750 and I love it so far. One question- when adjusting the flex on and off, it seems a little confusing. Should the knob be vertical for the flex to be “On” or should it be horizontal? It was vertical when you were running, and then horizontal when the man was running.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you lift the deck, you'll be able to see the bar underneath. There is a long bar that spans the width of the deck and four springs along the underside. When the knob is turned "ON" the bar is moved downward, away from the deck, which allows the springs to provide more cushioning. When the knob is turned "OFF" the bar moves up and locks under the deck to limit flexion and prohibit cushioning from the springs. There's a bit of play with where the knob may be turned before the bar moves. It's actually really hard to lock and unlock the bar - sometimes I have to fold the deck and then use my hand to move the bar while I turn the knob to get it to lock and unlock. Sorry, long explanation. Does that help at all?

    I have the 7” model from a year or 2 ago and they’ve improved every shortcoming: better graphics, bigger screen, faster/quieter incline motor, and they’ve reinstalled the deck cushioning adjustment and moved that darn deck hood back a bit. I’m pretty happy with my machine but this looks just about perfect!
    The only negative change: I assume they’ve taken out the HDMI port. That is one feature I really appreciate on my machine - even with the weaker graphics.

For the 1750 without iFit, how many programs are available on the 2021 model? Can one still use the heart rate control function? How about "customized" routines? Thanks!

    I have been doing research and the treadmill store here mentioned that the NordicTrack Commercial 1750 is a DC motor. Would that mean that it cannot be used continuously for extended number of hours? What is the maximum? We plan to run on the treadmill as a family, probably 5 hrs max everyday. Is it still an ideal treadmill for our use?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much all treadmills use DC motors. Yes, the 1750 motor will support running quite well. 5 hours per day is a high demand on any treadmill. We can't attest to how that much use will impact the motor over time, but there are many 1750 treadmills with hundreds of miles of use that are still going strong.

The placement of the running hood (I hit it several times while running on the Sole treads…but that was more my fault than anything) and the cushioning is what led to my decision. The manual mode doesn’t seem so bad for what I want (I’ll know more when I get it). I really really liked the Sole brand treads they were really easy to move.
