- 97 electra glide bagger with 113 ultima engine. this bike broke down last year. it's been sitting for months. finally got all my parts and my engine, and we got it all put back together. thanks for watching. I hope you enjoy.
Great job. I had to update a bunch of crap on my 113" build. Pulls like a freight train though 👍🏻
You ain't lying... twist the throttle and let her eat! I've watched your videos when I was dreaming of doing the swap... love the fairing you put on your bike! Looks great! Thanks for the love man... keep the rubber side down brother!
@@anthonysayler4421 no problem buddy, glad I could be of some sort of inspiration 👍🏻
What did u have to update?
I just ordered one but I am replacing oil pump with s&s lifters breather, thunder jeting carb and woods cam
@CarlosMartinez-tx6dj I wish I would have done the oil pump but didn't. You sound like you're doing all the right stuff! You will need to ditch the Ultima rocker arm assembly and run stock Evo stuff. Also, you will need to upgrade to an all balls starter and thicker battery terminals. Your clutch will also need upgraded as well as your final drive belt. You'll need to delete your compensator also. Make sure you get your final drive to equal 2:03 per Ultima's recommendation. I had a video online about mine but there were way too many keyboard subject matter experts that said negative stuff so I deleted all of my videos.
I just replaced my clutch... had a crankshaft seal go bad and pumped oil into my primary... before I noticed a problem, my clutch plates, basket, and preasure plate all burnt up. Replaced the basket with a heavy duty basket. Barnett extra plate kit with kevlar for the plates. And a heavier preasure plate...
Sounds great. What cam did you end up going with? I know some of those ultima motors come with pretty radical cams. Youll can probably put a little milder cam in it and increase longevity on the valve train. You may lose a little power but it may be worth it if the life of the motor is increased drastically.
Ok so I read the manual for the engine again... 500 Miles for break in
@anthonysayler4421 Is the exhaust extremely loud while riding? Does it Drown out the radio?
My speakers are shit man. They are original equipment. But it does drown out the stereo... a new sound system is next year. Plus this is the sharkroad which is a lot louder than my new freedom performance combat shorty exhaust... check out my other videos.
@@anthonysayler4421 Put some long fishtails on it. your exhaust will be behind you where you won't hardly hear it.
OH GOD! Wouldent want your great HD sound to out do your goofy music...
Sounds bad ass man. Did u get a warranty with the motor? Where did you buy from?
Thanks bud.. I bought the engine from a distributor on ebay. Got a one year warranty 😊
@anthonysayler4421 .....thanks for responding back, appreciate that. 113 ultima stroker crank, good motor. I'm considering the twin cam version of that. Tatro Machine can get those motors, I he thinks their good motors, that automatically sells it for me. Sns is 2 grand more for the same cubic inch
Yeah i didnt want to shell out 7gs for and engine..it simply wasnt in my budget. So far so good on this engine though. .@michaelmitchell5909
@@anthonysayler4421 apparently the Ultima's are at least as reliable as s&s.
Hey any problems so far ?
Nope not as of yet... runs like a raped ape!
Great 👍 love the sharkroad exhaust I’ve put two different sets on two different bikes . Did you swap the motor your self ??? And did you run into a lot of problems or it was simply for the most part ? Thanks love the bike
@zacharyjohnson5847 I switched the sharkroad exhaust "that broke at the muffler" to a freedom performance combat shorty exhaust... love the new sound. The engine swap was pretty straight forward according to the dude who put the engine in... a couple kinks but he was able to work those out pretty easy.
That motor wont last long, buddy of mines having issues with it, 2 warranty claims with manufacturer in 1 year.
We shall see...
@anthonysayler4421 it definitely performed great when it was working. Earlier this year his heads cracked, and now it's in the shop for the crankshaft.
I'll keep you posted... hopefully it lasts
Still running strong
How many miles on It now?
