Just tried it. Didn't even do a proper prep. Just a good wash (not perfect), air dry, applied sparingly then wiped again with a new clean cloth after waiting about 30 min. It looks GREAT. Knowing this I'm going to get the system and do it right. For the price, performance and small amount needed it really is amazing stuff. I would imagine for less than $100 and a little bit of elbow grease you can keep the finish looking beautiful for the life of the vehicle!
@@CynHicks I highly recommend the Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Polish to start. It's a mild cut Polish that removes oxidation, light swirling and with the combination SiO2/Carmuba/Polymer blend is a kill-er base coat. Very easy with a DA polisher and can be easily worked by hand if necessary. 24 hour cure and THEN coat with Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray. You will thank me.
Probably should have done a proper cure time on all of the products, shouldn’t introduce chemical to most of these spray coatings for minimum of 24 hours
The Turtle Wax instructs to wait 24 hours before getting it wet and to apply a second coat the next day and use a damp cloth to remove any hazing left after a clean, dry buff. Mine does anyway. I didn't even do that or the prep and it at least looks great. Next time soon I'm going to do it right. 😁

All of these products require a minimum cure time however I will say that creating value by only making a product available by a certified installer will give you the perception that the product is better. There's a wonderful reason for the competitors and that is a free market and a competitive market. I have paid thousands of dollars to have my vehicle paint corrected and ceramic-coated and looking back, the main factor in the effectiveness of the ceramic coat was the paint correction. Problem is...turtle wax is just one part of a whole line of ceramic products your supposed to use together. So as well as the turtle wax did...it would have done better if you used the whole recommended line.
Cant believe the Turtlewax is only $14. In New Zealand retails for about $57...even after the exchange rate it should cost no more than $18-20. Why is it so expensive here?
Taxes? Can't think of another reason. It must be some import and sales tax that makes it so ridiculously expensive. I can't imagine the retailers to be in cahoots to rape the consumer.
Test it a different way as in get it dirty and wax it after. I work at a concrete plant and trucks fly in and out all day long, which leaves my truck looking horrible, I want to keep it clean but it gets covered in crap. Show us what it can do that way.
Turtle wax proves that spending more doesn’t always get you more. 14 bucks a bottle, goes a long way and is beating similar products out there costing more
I fell for the Nexgen commercial..... Stuff was overpriced crap IMO.... After one rain, the water drops appeared to have eaten through the product and left nasty water spots. I had to polish them out with a buffer. Went back to Maguires cleaner wax the finished off with good ol' yellow 26. Looks like a mirror.
This test for sure wasn't conducted properly. There was no control in this experiment at all and proper time to cure. It did show what what an average person would do on the daily though. Hopefully it can be better next time. Good luck 🙏
Interesting results but maybe would get better idea of actual real world results if we followed the proper application directions from each manufacturer and then tested them?
I tried Nexgen and turtle wax both worked great turtle was much cheaper. I just purchased TLC 2 for $40 hope it works. I'm a sucker for those damn ads. Lol
I've wondered if Turtle Wax Hybrid ceramic was better than NexGen. Considering no cure time which makes my life easier and worry free, TW is a fantastic value. I will pick up a bottle very soon. Have you had any experience with these products applying to a car that already has a ceramic coating and/or PPF? If so, please let me know your thoughts
@@KevG I applied Avalon King in December. It’s a daily driver in New Jersey and the coat has started to fail on the doors. What kind of ceramic booster do you recommend? What about toppers for a really smooth glossy feel and look?
On another product review channel, the NEXGEN lost all hydophobic properties within 30 days of application. This was in TEXAS hot summer with only 1 wash.
did you polish first. if you polished and then applied these. Turtle wax would have killed them all. it's made to be extremely durable after curing. do the test again. 👍
I still can't believe they're charging so much for a 6 oz bottle. I remember hearing about nexgen a few months ago I'm so glad I didn't buy their products like $30 for a small bottle? What? I swear so my company spend more time advertising their products and work on them and see if they work it's pretty sad
I bought 2 for 36, because I'm a violent member. Heres the catch, I didnt want to be a member they just automatically made me one. Members are on a monthly subscription worth about 13 a month. It gives you 40% off on their products. I immediately canceled...
You would get the same results with just a good wax. The real test is durability over time. I want to know how it holds up after 1,2,3,6 months. not right after you apply it.
Turtle may have won that battle but let's be honest they been in game decades they betta had won that...and also slots be real how long does that application actually lasts
They’re def stoned af. Lol what’s up with the tape. And you should let these products cute for 12 hours. The turtle was ceramics are actually great considering the price
There's no way that you gave the adequate curing time for the Ceramic Pro Sport or the Turtle wax. So it's really not a real world test unless you follow the manufacturers instructions for curing time.
I think Nexgen got cheated here a little bit. If you go back and watch the application of the first two, there was no where near the same amount of application of the Nexgen.
KevG well don’t you think that’s going to confuse the hell out everyone? I mean why not wait and really get a good test? I’ve gained nothing from this and only wasted my time.

So in conclusion, NexGen sucks, Turtle Wax hung with the Pro, for the money you can't beat Turtle Wax Hybrid. $15 and you can use it about 10 times on the average size sedan, before you need to purchase more. So, fifteen bucks verses 200 for a "professional" ceramic coating that's not really going to do much better than the Turtle Wax. Also if you use the TW Hybrid Car Wash along with detailing spray it will outlast the "professional" stuff.
You know, for a car detailing guy, you never let the hose rub up against a cars paint. Who knows what it is picking up off the ground. That's bad for your presentation.
I put the turtle wax ceramic spray on my car 2 years ago and it's still on there. Behind the tires it's gone but everywhere else it is still beading up. I've been washing my car with purple power trying to remove it cause I'm wanting to do paint correction. Taking forever for it to wear off. Maybe I got it on too thick?
That sealant has been long gone. 2 yrs is a long time for a DIY ceramic sealant to last. And using Purple Power would have taken it off the first time you did it. You are literally taking the clearcoat off at this point!
Don't know about Turtle & Pro, but the NexGen calls for 24 hours to cure before washing. So, it this a valid test? Not a big NeXgen fan, but this test doesn't show me anything useful.

Ceramic pro is suppose to be applied to a wet car not a dry one
You would get the same results with just a good wax. The real test is durability over time. I want to know how it holds up after 1,2,3,6 months. not right after you apply it.
Turtle may have won that battle but let's be honest they been in game decades they betta had won that...and also slots be real how long does that application actually lasts
they rinced the hood many times
They’re def stoned af. Lol what’s up with the tape. And you should let these products cute for 12 hours. The turtle was ceramics are actually great considering the price
Now time for a vid on removing swirl/scratch marks from the hose lol.
😂😅
There's no way that you gave the adequate curing time for the Ceramic Pro Sport or the Turtle wax. So it's really not a real world test unless you follow the manufacturers instructions for curing time.
You turtle wax wr9ng ur suppose t8 use dampmocr9 fiber after apply8ng then wipe it down s9 this test is wrongbin my opoin
What’s wrong with your keyboard?
I think Nexgen got cheated here a little bit. If you go back and watch the application of the first two, there was no where near the same amount of application of the Nexgen.
Did you let it cure?
Joey Love pls refer to description ❤️
KevG well don’t you think that’s going to confuse the hell out everyone? I mean why not wait and really get a good test? I’ve gained nothing from this and only wasted my time.
It shouldn’t because it was mentioned a few times in the video as well as the the description!
🐢 truley is an ethical company. There's a reason they've been numerous 1 for 77 yes 77 years!!! And in 90 countries by the 90s BEFORE THE INTERNET!!! THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES TO THEIR DEDICATION TO INNOVATION AND INTEGRITY. ITS AMAZING THE COMPANY CULTURE HAS NOT ONLY STAYED THE SAME BUT HAS BECOME EVEN MORE PASSIONATE HAS THEIR COMPANY CONTINUES TO BUILD ASKING THEMSELVES EVERYDAY "HOW CAM WE BE BETTER THEN YESTERDAY ❤ 🐢 ❤ 🐢 ❤
Did You let the ceramic pro sport cure for 24 hours?
Good question
So in conclusion, NexGen sucks, Turtle Wax hung with the Pro, for the money you can't beat Turtle Wax Hybrid. $15 and you can use it about 10 times on the average size sedan, before you need to purchase more. So, fifteen bucks verses 200 for a "professional" ceramic coating that's not really going to do much better than the Turtle Wax. Also if you use the TW Hybrid Car Wash along with detailing spray it will outlast the "professional" stuff.
Just keep dragging that hose along the panels 😣😣 what a botched test
Ceramic Pro won that for sure..
You know, for a car detailing guy, you never let the hose rub up against a cars paint. Who knows what it is picking up off the ground. That's bad for your presentation.
Can you spray it on the windows?

I put the turtle wax ceramic spray on my car 2 years ago and it's still on there. Behind the tires it's gone but everywhere else it is still beading up. I've been washing my car with purple power trying to remove it cause I'm wanting to do paint correction. Taking forever for it to wear off. Maybe I got it on too thick?
That sealant has been long gone. 2 yrs is a long time for a DIY ceramic sealant to last. And using Purple Power would have taken it off the first time you did it. You are literally taking the clearcoat off at this point!
@@mustardman5366 ...You are correct, hold the mayo.
🐢 wax looks 👌
My dream bmw!!!!
You’re supposed to allow Nexgen to cure for 24 hours.
I redid the Nexgen review in another video where I let it cure. Equally as disappointing.
@@KevG well that sucks. What are your thoughts on Proje?
Dude get a better camera. Your resolution is too low to do a TH-cam video
1080p though?
Nexgen is crap. Does not last but a day or two.
Agreed
Nexgen. It sucks!
Don't know about Turtle & Pro, but the NexGen calls for 24 hours to cure before washing. So, it this a valid test? Not a big NeXgen fan, but this test doesn't show me anything useful.
