AMAZING... TFS... ModPodge spray sealer dries very clear. .. gesso sometimes doesn't dry clear. Be Blessed.
This is exactly what I was looking for to add painted flowers to my tumblers.
Also, I'd use fabric modpodge to seal.

Beautiful! Unless that is a Clear Gesso, I'd use Mod Podge.

Love it! I have read a combination of matte and gloss mod podge works or making your own with elmers glue for a sealant. :-)
Thank you for this tutorial! I wish I could help you with the sealer, Gesso should work, but this will be handled and is not like a painting just being looked at. I am wondering if a varnish would be flexible and work? I could see a product like Dead Flat Varnish keeping the look without yellowing....

Oh my God, I love this! I want to cover my Bible and I would like to paint some flowers like these. Does anyone know if I can use Osnaburg fabric to cover my Bible and then paint the flowers on it? Please help! TIA
+Jemi Vela I am thinking that you would either want to use Fabric paint or put some fabric medium in the acrylics. But it should work no problem.

Ujica Diana This bible was already covered when I bought it with sort of a canvas feel cover. You could paint the flowers on anything though.

CHANTAL DOWLING I believe it was Honeysuckle pink, cameo pink, white, leaf green, and lime.

i write 4 HIM So sweet for you to say that, but I promise a 5 yr old could do this. I love to find super simple techniques that anyone can use in their personal bible worship time.
I had 5 surgeries on my right wrist and my hand writing is terrible now. I can still write but to me it just looks awful, especially the older I get the weaker my grip gets. But if it was strong I would definitely give this a try. :)
i write 4 HIM Keep in mind that your family will eventually treasure everything in your handwriting even if it is a mess. There is something very personal about our writing that makes them feel close to us after we are gone. I lost my mom a few years ago and now cling to everything I find that has her handwriting on it. Silly I know!
What did you choose to seal with?
CHANTAL DOWLING I ended up using the Art Basics Clear gesso. I put about 3 coats on.
