Ahhh yay glad you found it; I was looking for one too and couldn't find anything, so I thought I'd just do it myself lol! Hope your Bible makeover turns out well!
Ahh thank you sis! Yes that part was the hardest and for a while I was regretting my decision lol but thankfully it all worked out 😅 I ended up painting the inside too 😍
Came here after watching your update video. It turned out SO good. You nailed it! Why, oh why aren’t publishers making premium Bibles in more modern, feminine colors? There is definitely a hole in the market there.
Thank you sister, I appreciate that 🥰 I know, it doesn't make sense to me at all - at least Humble Lamb make Bibles in fun colours! Hopefully more will follow suit soon!
That was awfully brave of you! Came out beautiful, though.I've done this with shoes, but never with a Bible. Thank you for sharing. Hope you're well and God bless.
Haha brave / crazy 🤷♀ lol but I'm glad it came out well, I hope it can withstand the use so I can paint the inside as well! Ooh how did your shoes turn out? Thank you sis I hope you are well too!
@@my-white-bible The shoes came out great. I did the same process, stripped the topcoat, several coats of "leather paint" which I too think is just acrylic paint. The part of your project that would've made me the most nervous would have been the spine work. But it came out great!
@@cravingpeace. Oh good, glad it worked well for you! 🙌Yes the spine made me very nervous too - if the Lord hadn't given me the idea to use pen, I was going to just paint all the foiling white and just call it a day 😅 but I'm glad I didn't, as it adds that premium touch!
Currently working on mine. So excited!! I really don’t have any experience with art/painting. Did you wait a set amount of time between coats of paint? Or just until it seems dry? If the paint seems slightly tacky but not bad can I start the next coat? How many days do you think it took from start to finish? So hard to wait and not use the Bible…
Oooh yayyy!! Love it! I completed the whole thing in a day. Each layer just needs to be touch dry, but don't move or bend it until the top sealant coat is fully dry. I'd leave that at least overnight; I was a bit impatient with that 😅 Keep me updated and let me know how it turns out!
Thank you sis, I do to actually! I ended up painting the small leather overlap inside the cover (as seen in my Q2 goals video) but the contrast looks nice, I agree! So far no, the paint hasn't dried out the leather at all; I think the top coat has protected it well!
Just watched this and plan on doing this with my premium bible as well. They have a metallic white pearl paint I wonder what it would look like over the white?
Yay that's awesome, hope it turns out well! Ahhh I'm already a step ahead sis lol, I bought a set of metallic paints a couple of months ago and have been testing it on scraps, but so far the consistency is very thin and coming out streaky, so I am still playing around with it. Watch this space for another Bible painting video with metallic paints coming soon, once I figure it out!
Ah right yes, so an update after some use I did see tiny little lines on the spine, but I dotted a bit more paint and top coat in those areas, and since then it has been absolutely fine! Let me know how it goes if you try it! 🙌
Well I finally got it done! Of course not perfect I can see some lines in it that my paint brush left behind (I’m not artistic but still try to enjoy lol) however it is my little pocket purse Bible. I love it and I’m going to enjoy using it. Thank you for teaching me how to do this and what I needed. 😊
I honestly do how to do the before and after. Only social media I have is TH-cam. I deleted everything else bc I allowed it to take up tooo much time and wasted my time. I haven’t missed social media at all. I’m in the Word more , reading novels more, and outside enjoying Gods creation.
wow, it looks so aesthetic. I also painted a bible, but it was a really old one and not leather. It was a bit difficult because it wasn't very sturdy but it turned out nicely. Thanks for sharing and May Jesus Bless you. pls start another bible study❤
Thank you so much, Sharon! Ah that's cool, how did it turn out? Bless you sis, I'm so pleased you want to start a new bible study with me! Lord willing it will be soon 🙏
It turned out quite well. I found about your channel like 2 weeks ago and I really do enjoy the Bible studies, so far I finished Ezra and am almost done with Nehemiah. Can’t wait to see what book you will start.❤😊
@@SharonSuresh-rl1zu Ahh you found me right in the middle of my little break! I'm glad you're working your way through the other studies; I will start a new book very soon, watch this space! God bless you sis!
Sure! The deglazer just needed one swipe over but make sure to do it thoroughly to get all the glaze off, and I added just a couple of layers of the top coat! Hope that helps!
You know, it's holding up pretty well! I will do a video update for you so you can see close up what it looks like 7 months on! Ooh which of your Bibles is going to get a glow up? 😍
@@SM-JIL Consider it done sis, watch this space! Oooh you're so blessed to have a few cute Pitts, let me know how it goes if you decide to paint it as well! 🤍
Ha I wish! More like 20 🤪Honestly I lost count how many coats it took 😅I just kept going until I was satisfied with the finish. The coats need to be really thin to avoid cracking in the future!
White with rose gold lettering is so so lovely. I wish a publisher will do the bible this way. I will surely buy it. Love it!
I know right, why are publishers not playing around with cute combos like this?! Lol thanks for your comment, sis!
Wow it turned out so nice! 🤍
Ahh thank you sister, it was risky but fortunately it did 😅🤍
This is the ONLY video I saw to paint my bible! Thank you so much!

Your are brave! It turned out really nice. Looks professional.
😅 haha yes it was risky lol but fortunately it came out really well - I've actually painted the inside of it too now and it looks much better!
I love it! Hopefully, I’ll get the time to do this to a black Scofield Bible that was gifted to me. 😍 💖 Love your channel! 🫶🏻 God bless. 🩷
Ooh yay, how exciting, I hope it works out well! Thank you so much Luna, all glory to God; I'm so happy you're here 🤍

Lol yes 🙈 it was a risky one!! Thanks sis, I'm hoping to do the inside as well eventually 🙏
Can we get an update of how the paint is holding up? Anything you would do different? Thanks. Prayers Flying for ya from Michigan

Beautiful sister! I actually prefer the brown ribbons and the interior as a contrast. Did the paint dry out the leather?

Can you tell us how its held up? Has it had any issues with cracking or???
Funny you should ask, I made an update video 2 weeks ago so you can see how it held up! 😃 th-cam.com/video/bTmqV0RAgNw/w-d-xo.html
Hiii Can I use acetone in stead of the deglaser? :)
Hey Bianca, yes it's pretty much the same thing, but I'd advise doing a test patch first just in case! 😊
How many coats of the undercoat and the finish did you do?
