- Julia Beck is a writer and organizer from Baltimore, Maryland. She helps produce a monthly radio broadcast for Women's Liberation Radio News. Last year, she represented lesbians at Baltimore Pride and on the Law and Policy Committee of Baltimore City's LGBTQ Commission.
Julia shared her experience being terminated from her position on the Baltimore LGBTQ Commission for reaffirming the biological reality of sex and explained why the Equality Act promotes inequality for women and girls in this event at The Heritage Foundation.

I got the impression it was the other way around because she failed to totally agree with some one on the LGBTQ committee. Help me out here please Amy. I am male she is female. We had 2 children. One female who had 3 girls and a boy and one male who as I have already written is gay. His relationship is 10 years as I write.

To play devil’s advocate, this is where people might make a difference between sex and gender. Sex being biological and gender being the societal expectations and expressions that are associated with each sex. Gender expectations and expressions certainly does vary across the world and cultures. This is what I was taught in school at least. That even though these words are often used interchangeably they are not exactly the same. Therefore they may not be saying sex is fake, but instead speaking about their gender identity. Of course I wasn’t there and don’t know much about it so idk. Just a thought.
Their agenda is made up as they go. One moment they're born that way, another they chose it. They justify themselves like children, they're never wrong.

You should really watch Blaire White. She's actually trans and she thinks the trans movement is going to far and doctors are transitioning children when they shouldn't be. She also believes there are far more people identifying as trans when they really aren't.

@@TheRubinator13 Then Blaire and I would have a disagreement. For the record, I'm aware Blaire thinks trans activists, if not LGBT activists in general, are just overboard. I engaged with a trans activist in a comment section for Sargon of Akkad. The way he was advocating for trans people, I broke it down that the way he was going about things would turn people off if he was actually serious about changing people's minds in the positive. I seriously hope he thought about things and is doing better, but he has an uphill battle because the trans activists will sink his efforts before gains any ground.
Anyway, I heard and saw nothing different from this speaker that I didn't see from Feminists and women who swear they're not Feminists but exhibit the behavior anyway who are looking to get an edge. Scorpions to our frogs if you know the story.
This whole issue is about the audacity of men encroaching or intruding on spaces specifically for women. So there's not going to be a hint of balance. There's not even a discussion about trans men. Then everyone is playing inclusively in their appropriate group.

@Mr Me Man the existence of "labels" doesn't create reality. Yes, there are made up words, like pansexual or asexual. If you don't have sex and you don't want to do, fine. If you sleep with men and woman, it's bisexual, not pan. Look up the funny little race theories in Nazi Germany, there were labels without end, taught in school, printed in books, referred to in politics and society. Things like the nordic race, data for certain head- forms, height, appearance etc., all connected with the worth of human beings. Made up labels can be utter nonsense, official bs, it's not a proof to invent some words or theories. It's just a way to push your narrative to gain power.

@Mr Me Man what do you mean by scientific proof for the way people are? We call that having a personality, character traits, being an individual. There'll never be enough labels for every human being and it's not necessary to find them. You may be the only one to "define" or identify yourself, but not really, because other people will have their own impression of how you are. If you say, well, I'm super extrovert and funny, but you're always sitting around quiet with a sad face, others won't agree with you. And you can have your opinion, but you can't force people to agree with you and to see you the way you want to. In regard to biology, which isn't a subjectice category and isn't related to your character, you also can't force people to deny it because you found a label for yourself.
I'm so glad she stated that sex refers to the two reproductive classes of our species. I've heard a lot of people try to argue that intersex is common and we should just make sex a spectrum. The reality is that intersex people represent less that 0.07%of the population. Even those who undergo hormone therapy and surgery will still have either XY or XX chromosomes.
I never really understood intersex so my brain thought it was like they had an extra chromosome so XXY. So usually whenever I got the question of how many genders do you think there are. I say 3 Male, Female, Intersex.

Trans women are trans women (biologically male) which distinguished them from cis women (biologically female.) Nothing wrong with that btw. Diversity means acknowledging and accepting our differences, not pretending that we are 100% the same but if feminists say this, they are kicked out of their own female space. Saying something is different doesn't equal to hating that difference.
Most trans women have gone through male puberty and transitioned in adulthood. A trans woman transitioning at 35 has vastly different social, emotional and physical experiences than a cis woman. Some trans women also retain their penis and cry discrimination if they're not sexually accepted by lesbians. It's not bigotry to have a sexual preference that excludes some people. That's the nature of attraction. Problem is we can't be honest and can't say any of this openly.

Trans women especially black trans women are at high risk of experiencing homelessness, sexual violence, hate crime/violence, etc...Lack of access to employment puts trans women at high risk of homelessness and poverty which causes alot of trans women to turn to survival sex work as a means of getting by. This puts them at even higher risk of sexual violence and other forms of violence. There is also a term called "walking while trans" this mainly effects trans women of color. Trans women of color are stopped by police under the guise of sex work and are criminalized for carrying condoms and simply existing as a trans woman of color. Also, trans people are at more risk for suicide than their cis LGB counterparts. This is not an opinion. These are facts and I can link you to my sources if you want. Black trans lives matter.

Uhm actually Julia Beck is not treating conservatives the same as liberals and centrists. She's actively against liberal groupthink she's fighting to get the T removed from the LGBT because trans people do not have the same needs as the LGB when we're strictly speaking of rights.
She's also for conservatives who agree with her on the issue of transgender pronoun enforcement like we're seeing in Canada where you can receive fines or jail time for failing to properly identify a trans person by their preferred pronoun.

Growing up, I had a baby doll that I carried around everywhere until I was 5. Why? My mom ran a daycare. It wasn't because i secretly wanted to be a girl, i just was doing what i saw my mom do and copied her. If i was born 20 years later, I'd be a girl. Our world is fucked.
Me too, I was a tomboy and played with my brother and male cousin. I had short hair, dressed like a boy and hated girly things. I also hated my body during female puberty but there was no trans diagnosis yet so I got through the normal "teen angst/depression" and I came out on the other side 100% identifying with my sex and comfortable in my body. Never been more glad not to be Gen Z. Trans people are around 1% of the population but tons of kids don't conform to gender stereotypes and the majority of teens (at least girls) experience body dysphoria during puberty. Doesn't mean they're trans but they're all self diagnosing as such under affirmative care. Their doctor: Twitter. Their science: Instagram. Good luck kids.

Best I can say is this deviation from heterosexuality exists in animals too and I'm not hurting anyone so I want to be afforded some basic rights and protections under the law and that's it. We've barely scratched the surface of understanding the brain or genetics so there's no definitive science to distinguish or prove male and female brains exist with any accuracy. It's all speculation but that doesn't mean trans people don't exist, we just don't know why and how. It's probably a deviation in nature which is rarely 100% in biology but they're not hurting anyone so they should be protected under human rights law and that's about it.

Seems to me you've experienced what every straight male's who's point of view somewhat differs from any agenda in identity politics has for the last twenty some years. Equality and attaining equal opportunities are fine - however when doing so with the expectation of equity (equality of outcomes) it will go awry as there are always a greater cause and a greater victim. So, when you're physically different you're told your thoughts do not matter as much and when you've a different viewpoint or legitimate concerns with some ideas you're told you should step aside. When it comes to actual diversity it involves the understanding of different viewpoints, looking at all aspects, all sides, consideration and respect for all people. When everyone involved has the same exact ideas and ideals that's not really diverse.
When people come to realize fairness is not about who "has what" or "does what" more often ... but only in providing the opportunity and equal encouragement to help support a persons passions or dreams. Then just possibly you'll realize your choices are what makes you and that we've equality for a while - the barriers had come down long ago, you just have to fight in the rat race like the rest of us.
I'm glad I'm old and do not have to attend the hostile atmosphere of the educational system today, where young boys lack any role models, past male heroes and successes are viewed as villains and destructive, no incentives nor encouragement and often viewed as broken girls, chastised at every word and turn, where their thoughts and ideas never matter.

If not real men need to take charge start teaching boys how to be men and stop abdicating responsibility for raising boys to women. I'm not perfect and have my faults like everyone else... but I had great parents. My parents were born in the 1920's. They were together from the time they married in 1945 until my father passed away in 2010 and my mum a few months later in 2011. I have three older sisters and a younger brother, my sisters were born in 1946. '56 and '58. I was born in '63 and my brother born in 1967. My family were middle-class and both my parents worked and they managed the home and the family.
One of my earliest memories is sitting on my father's lap, the back of the television was off and he was looking for a bad tube, he was also pointing out to me - that's a capacitor, that's a resistor, etc...
Growing up both my parents worked, we all had chores and had to do housework, My mum, dad, my siblings and I all helped with the laundry, cook, set the table, did dishes, vacuuming and dusting, babysat my brother and my sister Kathy (she's mentally handicapped), grocery shopping. I also was my father's right-hand man from an early age, cleaned the rain gutters, mow the lawn, shovel the snow, fixing appliances, automotive, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work etc... Something always needs to be done, That's what families do. My father and I remodeled their home a room at a time between 1969 and 1975, every room one at a time, including the bathrooms and kitchen, outside etc...
I had to still do all those things when I went off to college and moved out, and likewise when I got a job in my field, then married, then as a single parent raising three (a daughter and two sons). I taught our children, helped with homework, read to them, played with them taught them what I was doing... and to this day still do laundry, cook, set the table, wash dishes, vacuuming and dusting, grocery shopping, clean the rain gutters, rake the leaves, mow the lawn, fix appliances, automotive, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work etc... I no longer shovel snow - living in Florida. That's part of life, something always needs to be done.

I'm sure her pain is quite real to her... but I'm having a hard time trying to feel any pity for her. When she plays up the male = oppressor / female = oppressed paradigm, it seriously tarnishes her message. What she doesn't get is that whenever women suffer from systemic oppression, men suffer under it alongside them too. Victimhood is not supposed to be an olympic sport but she keeps making it into one when, by now, she should know better; she should know where it all leads and where the source of all the madness is.

Now we transfer 18 men to M&S
Then take the same number of women from M&S and put them in the fire station.

@@cromwellsghost3434 not many towns would do that, because that makes no sense to transfer people between vastly different professions, all people are asking for with equality is "if it doesn't hurt you or anyone else and it helps another person or it helps that person far more than it hurts others, then do it" such as changing 1-2 words in a couple of sentences every now and then to make trans people feel more comfortable

This really hit home...I used to want to be a boy as a kid because I thought you had to be a boy to do anything cool or be taken seriously. I dealt with a lot of "no girls allowed" type situations and it really made me hate being a girl and I genuinely thought I should be a boy because I'm just as worthy as boys. I'm SO HAPPY now that I'm a woman and wasn't forced to transition as a kid. As a kid I would have signed up for that in a heart beat. But knowing what I know now as an adult, transitioning would have been the absolute wrong choice for me.
She really hit the nail on the head, you don't have to act feminine to be a woman and just because you aren't feminine, doesn't mean you have to be a man.
That's actually something my roommate struggled with for years, but the opposite problem. He loves doing drag, but he's a man. For a while he struggled with if he should transition to being a woman because he's gay and loved wearing makeup and women's clothing.
But he realized one day, he can wear whatever he wants and have whatever hobbies he wants, and still be a MAN. Even if he is walking around with a full face of makeup, heals and fake boobs out to Jupiter 🤣
Long story short, you don't have to change your body to do the things you want to do.
Edit: Now all this being said, Blaire White is a trans woman, and she has actually made a lot of the same points this woman in this video has made.
I do think there genuinely are trans people out there, but like you will find out from watching Blaire white, even Blaire thinks way more people are identifying as trans, or being told they're trans, when they really aren't.
It's unfortunate that so many are leaving nasty comments about her even though she showed a lot of bravery by being one of the few willing to state the truth of it.
its not brave to spread misinformation about a minority group that is already being targeted by laws trying to literally ERADICATE THEM.

I'm that girl who grew up playing with cars and bikes and liking boy colors and hating being a girl but in the end I still grew up to like boys and men. It just takes time.
