  • Beinn Alligin one of the classic mountains of the Torridon region of Scotland, lying to the north of Loch Torridon, in the Highlands. The name Beinn Alligin is from the Scottish Gaelic, meaning Jewelled Hill.
    We arrived in Torridon early and made our way to Diabeig. Spoke to some locals and made sure we weren't going to upset anyone if we stayed the night in small carpark facing the pier and lovely bay.

    Did it many years ago. Definitely one of my favourite mountains too. The horns are so airy. The 3 main Torridon mountains are all fantastic. Must get back there this year hopefully, it's a magical place.

    What absolutely beautiful videos you make …we started up this 2 years ago but I have never climbed a big mountain so was intimidated…loved the views anyway from where I was…but I’m so envious of you….and wow can’t believe your good lady is scared of heights …I’m in awe !

      Hey Anthea.. thank you so much for a lovely message!!! 😊🙏🌻 Mrs really has done well. Please don’t worry.. pick a big hill that’s normally busy.. put your boots on and just do it. You’ll wonder what you were worried about. Take care and thank you again. 😊🙌

    Just watched ~ I tried it about a week ago from the other end. Didn't manage up‼️ I've watched a couple vids and yours provided a better understanding of the route. I've planned (weather permitting) to follow in your footsteps at least to the 2nd cairn and probably turn back then. Not sure I'm confident enough the go further / old bugger that I am + lone hiker. I've just Liked and subscribed. Should I manage as planned I'll add to my channel . Thanks so much for sharing.

      Certainly a more gentle start from the side we started. The horns aren’t as bad as they look. Either way it’s be a bonus going up from both sides. Have fun. Thanks for watching. 😁🫡

    Loved this 👍 I had to turn back after getting to the top of the first munro. This has made me want to go back asap and tick off the 2nd one! Well done Lisa on scrambling over the horns. Keep up the great work guys. 👍 atb Graham

    Hi folks, I totally agree with you guys....
    What a fantastic place I was there back in September 2019 on the horns, would loved to have stayed longer but too much to gram in to so few days.
    Plan to re visit soon... torridan lodge was a good base for us.
    Take care .

    We are looking to do this mountain maybe tomorrow but might be unlikely considering the weather might be rough and lots of low cloud. I too am scared of heights but love a good view. Looks like you had the mountains too yourself.

    Another excellent film guys. I saw nothing but mist and rain when I did these two munros some years ago but am planning on going back next year on a nice day to take in the horns this time. I've always thought anti clockwise would be easier as it would mean going up the steep section rather than down as you did coming off the horns, what do you reckon?

    • @ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389
      @ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a lovely set of peaks, one of our favourites! I think anti-clockwise would be a good way to do it. It was a steep decent either way it’s all fun. Thanks for watching and merry Xmas! 🎄🎁😀

    I found Beinn Alligin the least interesting of the Torridon giants. The ascend was very straightforward and bit boring. Descent was bit more interesting. I think Beinn Eighe and Liathach offer a bit more variety.
