Another beautiful film. As an ex-film technician I know how much effort goes into such a polished work. It doesn’t show and that’s the skill. Thank you. I’m working my way through all your films. I’ve spent a weekend as an armchair mountaineer but come the end of May I’m off to Assynt, boots on and Norman MacCaig in my backpack. I cannot wait and your amazing films are really whetting my appetite.
Only just discovered your channel, probably because I’ve been looking at videos on Suilven. I was lucky enough to camp on the summit in June this year. Watching your video brings me right back there. The most amazing wild camp I’ve ever done. We were lucky to have blue skies and sunshine all weekend. Liked and subscribed 👍
A tough call coming in from the south side, but nice to see a different approach. I always wanted to climb Suilven (lived in Assynt 20 years) but never made it up there. It's a special place, was up there in spirit with you guys, thanks for sharing.
Wow, thats incredible camping on the heed of the Suilven. You 2 are really fit to lug all that gear all that way. Felt for you carrying the boats, reminded me of working at the tatties 🤣 Im off to Assynt tonight to climb
Yes it was! A nice trip. The boats aren’t that heaving and we stashed them before going up the hill. This was a superb adventure, in our own minds anyway. 😁👍
Incredible video. Looks amazing. I love Scotland. I spent some time in Edinburgh over two New Years Eves. 1969 and 1970. I was stationed in England in the US Air Force from 1969-73. Now I’m into hiking here in the Appalachian Mountains.
On the Adventure Trails - Scotland Passed through Assynt in June supporting our son cycling NC500. Missed the views so. definitely coming back. It was in the 1970s we last visited. Trouble is we now live in Sussex!
Clachtoll Bay campsite AND Suilven; there are no finer locations in Assynt. Camped there a number of times; a fantastic well run and friendly site . Climbed Suilven twice, Canisp and Stac pollaidh. An all round stunning area of Scotland!
Skibidibong’s Adventures hiya... thank you that’s very kind of you! 😊🙏 This was a great trip and something similars worth considering when you come to Scotland. All the best for now. D&L
Wow yous 2 are just an amazing couple 💖 love watching your videos anywhere I go even when I'm on niteshift brightens my day and nites up , videos are brilliant and has encouraged me to get back out their , canoe is on my bucket list , thanks for all your amazing videos 👌💖
Hey Jeanie Watson thank you very much. When we read comments like this it makes the extra work of making our wee films worth it. It’s great that we’ve, in some small way helped encourage people to get outdoors. Getting outdoors is what keep Mrs and I sane! 😂😀🙏 Take Care L&D
That was an awesome video, Suilven is one that is still on my list of hills to do it looks fantastic. What a game wife you have too its brilliant to see you guys so happy doing great things together.
Thank you again Gary... Yeah she's pretty awesome it has to be said. NOW, get planning your trip to Suilven, its a topper of a hill. :-) Thanks again Gary.
I'm planning to walk Suilven and Beinn Alligin later this year, and your videos give an BRILLIANT taste of what's involved! Great camerawork, appropriate choice of music, and just the right length overall - enough to see the reality of what these daunting-looking mountains present, but not too long either. Very well done and thank you very much!
Hey Phil, Thank you very much for taking the time to message. Really appreciate your kind comments. I’m pretty sure you’re going to have a great time on those trips. Fingers crossed 🤞 for good conditions for you. D&L 😀🙏
hello stranger. loved this video david, now that was an adventure. that view at 6:35 makes it all worth it mate. absolutely stunning. all that seclusion just for yous two. excellent editing 👏
There's a reason the word adventure appears in your channel name.....adventure is definately your game and what an adventure that was. Awesome....what a place to camp!
I must say I only discovered your channel a few days ago researching a trip to Skye, but they are some of the best videos I've seen. Your presentation is understated and enjoyable and your videography is stunning. You've gone to many of the destinations I am planning on visiting soon, as my kids are getting to the age now to be able to undergo (and enjoy!) some of these adventures. Thank you!
Lovely video. The only thing is you made the mountain look so scary to climb. I walked both peaks Caisteal Liath and Mheall Meadhonach comfortably in a day from just south of Lochinver. The latter required a bit of care though. Lovely walk in, watched a Golden Eagle.
Great video. Suilven is hard no matter which way you approach it, the climb up the Bealach Mor is so steep, but it's been one of my best ever wild camps.
Hi Tony, They aren’t the cheapest but very good. You can also hire them to give it a try. We hired then ended up buying from Andy Toop here.. backcountry.scot/product-category/packrafting/
@@ontheadventuretrails-scotl9389 yes it is we went up there a lot in the 80’s, and I’m planning on going back maybe this year. Never done Sullivan but will do before I’m too old. Great filming btw
As always, nicely done. 👌🏼Your drone footage was top banana! It's a grand pitch that, I think I'd choose that spot over the summit if I was to go back. Cheers, Robin.

Just discovered your channel - absolutely great vlogs visually but might be worth investing in some sort of microphone/audible set up when you restart vlogs after covid, as could hardly hear what you were saying and I wanted to hear it as the quality visually was sooooo good.
Hi KM, we’ve got a better GoPro with slightly better audio now. We don’t really want to start letting the filming over take the adventure so we’re keeping the filming kit to a minimum. Really appreciate the feedback and the link Ely kind words. Thank you! 😊🙏

Inspiring adventure and an immersive vlog! Really enjoyed this. Although it maybe obvious but did you approach the climb from the south side using the Bealach Mor? I'm thinking of attempting something similar soon and would be grateful for an info.

This makes it sound so remote but just drive to
Lochinver and there it is. Still a fantastic mountain and worth seeing.

the music was not necessary. I wanted to feel the quiet and with that awful singing one didn't get a chance.
Okay, sorry you didn’t like it and felt that was all that was worth commenting on.
