Rick you may want to put two 5 foot back stakes in for each corner. this way you can measure to them after the holes are dug. this will insure the hole is in the right spot. The building layout looks good. good luck. jim from Michigan.

When I built my 1000 sq.ft. shop in 1986 I was working my metal fabrication job where we had to always hold a +/- .005 " tolerance . And right after getting my walls built and placed , we measured dia. and was 3/16" or .1875 " out or square. For being all wooden 2x4" I was happy to be that close.

Nice job Rick. I f I had thought a good way to find the corners is to establish one long side then with a little math find the diagonal lengths, then take a marking spray can make a sweep of the arc of the diagonal distance and of the width of the building and where they intersect is the spot. Maybe help someone else along the way. Definitely gotta do it right. I've wondered about videos, but definitely understand that no matter how we plan to do things, life happens as it happens.

I'm late to the game, Rick. This may have already been shared. 3-4-5 triangles are always square. You have a 48 ft end - call that your '4'. Your '3' will be 36 feet. Your '5' will be 60 ft. From one corner, measure 36 feet along the length. From that point, to the other side of the width should be 60 ft. Your triangle will be 36x48x60. That makes a square corner. Call me if you have questions.

I am really excited that you are finally getting your new building. This has been a long road for you guys. I watched a lot of your early videos on developing this new property and I cannot believe how much work you have put into this. I am amazed.
I am guessing you already know this but you are going to want to put two posts on each corner, just outside where the corner posts are going to go, and then align them so the string line defines where the outside corners of the corner posts have to go. Looking forward to more progress on your new building. Hoping all goes smoothly for you.
