Well that was an awesome video Dan seems like a really great guy. I'm 62 18 months ago I picked up a olfactory condition 1977 F150 Ranger XLT 4x4. Even has the original 8-track tape player and FM. The best description I can give on this truck is painfully stock. But I'm loving it. 351 m400 with the mp435 transmission it's a farm truck and torque monster. I have not restored anything on it just cleaned it up after sitting for 8 years and it fired right up. I live near Wickenburg Arizona and it blends right in up there also love cruising it on route 66. Every time I take it out somebody wants to buy it LOL.
I would fix that flange gasket, repair the dash and drive it, sounds way to cool, don't even need the radio, just listen to that six run, what a cool rare truck. Thanks for sharing, God bless you.

Never let me down, just was tired and rusted. That was over 40 years ago now. Wish I could afford this old NAPCO but I could not pay what I am sure that thing is worth.
Best kind of old truck.....still runs&drives great! The 292 is a great engine, had one in a '69 Nova from a GMC.....that thing woukd SCOOT. Hope whoever buys this keeps it as a driver.
The NAPCO kit is not a lift kit, it's the original aftermarket 4x4 system before GM designed their own, 4X4 was optional back in the day. The two major builders of these 4x4 D.I.Y. systems were NAPCO & Marmon - Herrington
Wow, what a cool old truck... If I was younger I'd buy it for myself and do what little work it needs, but I'm not in much better shape than the original owner. I'm sure he's going to miss it..Getting old is a bugger... Thank goodness I have a 4x4 1997 Jeep Cherokee in great shape with under 90K on it. Only thing I don't like is it's not manual transmission, because is those days Automatic was all you could get in "heavy duty" via Jeep.... Thanks Rick for the video and the seller as well. That is a old ass truck... 55' big window Napco dealership ordered conversion I've had one...wish still did! Good built trucks still around...bet a 2023 will be on the road this many yrs later!

NAPCO is short for "National Parts Company" they were a Mpls. based company that assembled the NAPCO 4x4 system & crated them up & shipped them to Chevy & GMC pickup buyers who wanted the 4x4 package; the NAPCO system was "the very first D.I.Y. 4X4 Aftermarket kit" before G.M. came up with their own 4x4 system & after a few years NAPCO sold out to the Dana Corporation.
Rick truck is sweet, Napco is good stuff. Total beast off-road for the era. Have a good 4th of July. 8274 has the fastest line pull of the WARN line-up. Have the same one on my ‘77 CJ-5.

PULL THE FRONT END AND BED OFF AND DOORS AND 2 WEEKS IN THE BODY SHOP AND A WEEK IN THE ENGINE SHOP THAT WOULD BE A SLEEPER. THAT TRUCK IS A CANDIDATE FOR DRY ICE BLASTING. I GOT ARA UNDER DASH AIR PACKAGE NEW. THOSE TRUCKS ARE SO EASY TO RESTORE AND UPDATE... PUT A CAMPER BEHIND IT AND GO MAKE A TRAVEL VIDEO.

I would fix the doors and give it a mechanical once over, a light cleaning , clear coat it she's perfect.
I would clear coat that and leave it alone.
A lot of modern cars are going to need those traffic light viewers, the slanted back windshields make it hard to see the lights too
