I dont think it was disappointing in my opinion this is already big enough, I love punk so much and this is one of the best periods in wwe recent history
Honestly because of what happened I think a lot of people are against him and want him to fail. So even if he made this one hour long passionate speech about the world and wwe and aew they would still be disappointed
The problem is that if your promos are not excellent it is an unnecessary return because he made it clear in aew that he can no longer even move in the ring
It was disappointing cause I knew they were going to cut the promo short because by the time Randy and Dominik were done, it was already 10:50, plus we had another commercial in-between, then we got that stat screen or whatever where Michael Cole talks over, before we got to his promo. There was so much padding.
I liked that promo he took a shot af seth rollins as well, if you remember when he was fired by aew seth said that ‘his efforts giving 100% makes me the best in the world’ and then punk in his first promo said their efforts to be the best is false it was a direct shot to what seth said. He also mentioned ‘being feared man’ as tony khan feared for his life. So in that promo he didn’t name drop people to clarify what he said but when you think about it feel the gaps the picture is clear. Punk openly discussed that wrestling fans are smarter than people gave them credit for, so he gave a chance to read between the lines and fill the gaps, also they are building up for something this wasn’t a fiery promo but weirdly enough there is something right about seeing punk in wwe
People seem to forget that this raw was already completely booked before his return was even known which is why they saved 10 minutes from doing the first hour free for his promo
The Great One talked about everyone.... except for Indus Sher being on raw..... *VEER MAHAAN!!!!! CAME..... BACK TO RAW!!!! ANOTHER AMAZING COME.... BACK!!!!!*
Its crazy, I remember the Vince days when everyone shit talked WWE cuz there was no longterm booking or storytelling, then HHH gives us exactly that and now people complain that we aren't getting the whole full course meal served at the same time. Punk's gonna be back and he's gonna get a good storyline, just let em cook
I find the promo fine, basically the Bray Wyatt returning promo from last year but a bit shorter and until a rivalry kicks off, I think it'll continue in a similar manner to Bray's. (Hope it doesn't lead to a promo on a PLE that could have just been on a show or was a previous promo that was reworded) I'm pretty sure most of the hatred is out of a result of overhyping, CM Punk's status as a star, and stuff like that over not being patient. Don't think the long booking is an issue since it's been a thing for over a year now. (And those who can't get it at this point, I doubt they ever will.) And honestly, just saying "be patient" as a counter is just not that great since people are concerned about wasting time and losing interest. Hell, you were there losing interest with many missed Raw videos with the major reason being the same shit with Judgement Day vs Cody, Sami and other repeating faces over and over again.
The ones who were not happy are the ones who are watching the wrong program. When he said he changed, it's because he has changed perspective on the WWE and was willing to work with them again. And when he said he was home, it was WWE that was the right place to return to and that AEW was not.
I think another people aren't considering is that there are gonna be people that actually don't know who he is, and this promo did a pretty good job setting up who he is and what he's gonna be about.
5 minutes for a bullshit generic company standard scripted promo that has Vince McMahon all over it. Like legit no mention of why he was back, where he's been, what's his plans for the future. He didn't have to bury AEW or mention what happened with AEW for legal reasons probably, but legit he he came out and didn't say nothing of value. RAW was horrible because they hyped him up for 3 hours and he got 5 minutes after 10 years being away...
The problem of punks promo is not that we expected the pipe bomb, the problem is he says it all the times, in ufc, in aew, in wwe, I always thought that no matter what happens to him he stays loyal to his words, punk made an impression of a man that could die for his words, but now I personally see that his words mean nothing. He could say "I've beaten everyone and wanted equal rivals so I came" but instead he chose to say this shit, like he wasn't hating wwe past ten years
@@kanseidorifto5367 dude I sure hope so but in my opinion this is just a wishful thinking. Probably he just really is a hypocrite, and hunter is making business, sometimes the easiest explanation is the right one. I would be so glad to be proven wrong but for me it just doesn't seem so

It wasn't about CM Punk not taking shots at AEW and Tony. In hindsight, it's a good thing that he didn't do that. (As a fan, I would not have minded that at all lol!) It's just that this didn't seem like CM Punk's character. This promo was very reminiscent of a John Cena/Pre pandemic Roman Reigns/Cody Rhodes promo lol. The main thing is he wasn't direct in his promo about WHY he even returned. I get people think he's a hypocrite, and he didn't have to mention that either. However, it was obvious to all fans that he insulted this company after he was let go. And he even continued to insult the WWE when he got hired by AEW. There's just a small void in his promo where he can at least explain why he's back. Saying that he loves and misses everyone doesn't really do anything for anyone. This just seemed more like a corporate Punk rather than...CM Punk. And yes, more than likely things will heat up especially towards WM season, but to have us wait 3 hours for 5 minutes of that was kind of uncalled for lol.
I cant believe the idiots say the show was average, this was the best show for me in recent decade! we had CM ,RKO, Cody, Uso, Seth and R Truth what else you possibly want??
It wasn’t disappointing mah man. He said what he had to say in the short amount of time he had. Yeah if it was longer it would’ve been so much better but he utilized his time and summed up how he felt
Punk & WWE played it safe. There plenty of time to set up feuds & all that other stuff since the next PLE is what 2-3 months away. WWE & HHH are easing Punk back into the fold. See if Punk will behave himself in the locker room. Also Punk is probably still under NDA & is legally not able to say anything about AEW or reference them at all. WWE as well doesn't want any class action lawsuit against them by AEW. I wouldn't be surprised if the WWE releases one of those backstage videos they do when a return happens like they did with Cody.
I mean it was a cool raw after all but cm punks promo wasn’t disappointing he said what he would do in the future i mean it was a good promo for the first promo he did when he came back
Triple H era is so interesting with big superstar in Raw. Cody Rhode, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Shinsuke Nakamura, Gunther, Judgement Day, and now Randy Orton and CM Punk. Elimination Chamber should be awesome. Just make better storyline.
I don't think his peers would like him to go out first day and drop bombs. He has to earn back the trust first before he does drastic stuff. A 'business' like promo is perhaps to show that he is a team player.
I saw punk's promo he was like a face. After the promo he said " i cane here not for friends, i am here for money" i laughed my lungs out 🤣. This is the old cm punk we all loved.
punk promo was fine i think people expected punk to say something "controversial" or just talk shit about AEW for 5-10 minutes that just wasn't gone happen
He gave a great speech. He said what he said. Punk did it like the old days. He even motivated me with that speech. I even started to tear up after the I am Home part. Almost 10 years in the making and he really came home. Randy also had a great speech and I can't wait to see him RKO Rhea someday. She deserves it. He even kicked Doms A*s and what a beating he got.
Only salty virgin AEW cultists are whining about this promo. Most casual wrestling fans and those that are fans of both promotions thought it was a good promo that did what it’s supposed to do.
This return was basically the follow up to the ppl watched aew and watch his ups and downs so returning to pro wrestling was done since 2019 there's nothing haven't been said ever since He made an iconic promos in aew i don't see anything he could add to his career except money and good retirement matches
Punk vs Rollins at Rumble. Priest calls his shot at elimination chamber and cashes in on Rollins. If he wins, Drew vs Priest wrestlemania 40. If not, Rollins vs Drew. Drew wins either way. Gives him reason to stay with the company not to mention TKO having more reason to throw more money to keep him. Rollins after mania will go on break to work on his back and spend time with his family. Same can happen with Becky is she faces and loses to Rhea at Wrestlemania. Both can return around summerslam. I know people are saying main event at Wrestlemania for Punk. But I think he’ll be put in a smaller match for the overwhelming story of the bloodline so far with Punk vs Solo at mania with Paul in Solos corner but can’t choose between the two. (This will also isolate and keep Roman with no help against Cody in night 2) WWE and TKO will do this to see if Punk has changed and will be willing to work a full calendar year to build to his Wrestlemania main event at the next one. Perhaps gets a redo at Summer of Punk and build someone up for him to face for night 1 main event at 41. If Punk accepts and does this with no arguing for a full calendar year and trust HHH process of slow story telling then he’ll be one of the guys moving forward with his long contract that was said to not have many guarantees in the next coming years. They’ll become guarantees if his attitude truly has changed.

He's definitely refreshed with love for the business. Things happen for a reason. That injury was probably the best thing to happen to him in a way.
Ayo Great one You are No.3 on Sport Recommendations for new YT Account's .
Congrats Great One for winning your tag turmoil match alongside Julius Creed 🤣
I clicked on this video faster than cm punk can get into controversy 😂
Punk is my favorite wrestler and you're my favorite TH-camr
A 20 minute great one video you love to see it
Love from Jamaica bro❤
I think another people aren't considering is that there are gonna be people that actually don't know who he is, and this promo did a pretty good job setting up who he is and what he's gonna be about.
That Raw After episode was SO good 😭😭😭
Your analysis of the CM PUNK PROMO was really good!!🔥🔥
5 minutes for a bullshit generic company standard scripted promo that has Vince McMahon all over it.
He could say "I've beaten everyone and wanted equal rivals so I came" but instead he chose to say this shit, like he wasn't hating wwe past ten years
i think they're building his heel character as a hypocrite. He has become the "dynasty" he hated john cena for. Heel punk is moneyyy
@@kanseidorifto5367 dude I sure hope so but in my opinion this is just a wishful thinking. Probably he just really is a hypocrite, and hunter is making business, sometimes the easiest explanation is the right one.
I would be so glad to be proven wrong but for me it just doesn't seem so
"I wish it was longer" missed opportunity to add a CocoJumbo joke🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I loved the promo, kept it real, threw in a tease for aj & just seeing him there was just amazing at best 🤷♂️
Can we get AJ Lee back as well? She would do wonders to the women's division!!!
Honestly I think his promo was good didn't need to take any shots at AEW or any of that shit trust me they have time something special is about happen in 2024
he actually shoot on seth rollins by saying some people are afraid because they think they are the best in the world which is a lie and the original best in the world , the most controversial feared person is back in the locker room technically said some people are afraid of him . man he sets some feuds not only with seth rollins but with anyone who hated his return . great promo in my opinion .
its WWE’s fault for putting him last. We had to watch Nia Jax and Piper Nivens before we got it. Punk wasnt given much to work with. No target. No future fight. He did well with what he had.
Cm punk on raw in 2023 was crazy within itself I think he did good to
What did you watch it was a horrible show it showed WWE didnt care about putting out a good show because they thought punk would make the show
@@detmorales9151 I just watch the highlights I didn't believe he would return I thought he was done I not watched a full episode of raw in a few months to be honest I was a fan of cm punk back in the Day
i just realized la knight stocks have just decreased, he is not the most popular now, 2 months back if you ask me name top wwe stars rn i will name cody, roman, LA KNIGHT YEAHHHH , seth but now it's roman, punk, randy, seth ,cody , gunther . earlier he was in top 3 but now maybe 8-9th pos
With RAW roster so stacked for the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
It feels kinda similar to early 2000's and everyone had a legit shot at the World Heavyweight Title
Raw just leveled up
And Roman feels irrelevant
Seth, Orton, Punk, Cody, Drew, Nakamura, Finn, even Gunther in the future have legit shot for the title
Jey, Sami, and Damien with the MITB briefcase
Roman really does feel irrelevant at the moment, I do like him but I think it's almost time for him to drop the title
It was one short promo. I have no idea what people were expecting
I think Randy is going to Smackdown
You know bloodline business
With this many superstars on raw elimination chamber in February is going to be absolutely must watch
All we need now is a Primo and Epico back and then the WWE will be back on top
The fact he is even back is the craziest part. It seems like the less is more approach rather than over expose at the risk of devaluing
Only disappointing to the marks who expected more controversy but for everyone else it’s good for wrestling and competition.
20mins? I thought my pot was RVD strength
I don't think his peers would like him to go out first day and drop bombs. He has to earn back the trust first before he does drastic stuff. A 'business' like promo is perhaps to show that he is a team player.
6:18 you can do awesome impressions of anyone 😂😂😂😂😂
I saw punk's promo he was like a face. After the promo he said " i cane here not for friends, i am here for money" i laughed my lungs out 🤣. This is the old cm punk we all loved.
punk promo was fine i think people expected punk to say something "controversial" or just talk shit about AEW for 5-10 minutes that just wasn't gone happen
I’m surprised you said you wouldn’t expect Ivar Vs Bronson to be good they’ve been killing it
It served its purpose. We are hooked. It plays into everything Seth feels about punk.
Like Triple H said. Been 9 yrs. Punk is a different man. And this is a differnt company today vs 2014. Lets see what that entails.
This return was basically the follow up to the ppl watched aew and watch his ups and downs so returning to pro wrestling was done since 2019 there's nothing haven't been said ever since
He made an iconic promos in aew i don't see anything he could add to his career except money and good retirement matches
Man just be happy he’s is back man yall fans are crazy we’ve been waiting for this return for 9 years now
Punk vs Rollins at Rumble.
He did reference AEW when he said “I’m not here to make any friends, I’m here to make money $$$” That was a subtle shot at aew.
I was there, on the floor, and was able to get a selfie and a high five from CM Punk, so it did not disappoint.
