The true disservice is that the actual beauty that make up these pieces of art is enclosed and not viewable by the observer. The workings of the watch are beautiful and should be displayed or at least visible to demonstrate the engineering and craftsmanship that went into its creation. Very well done and your vids are always enjoyable as well as informative. Thank you.
This level of precision is hard to grasp..........! I can't imagine how you can remember where each tiny part is located. So enjoyable to watch. Thanks again for producing videos of unmatched quality..!

How the heck did the original masters even machine such small, intricate parts, with such smooth, perfect precision without the use of lasers, and computer aided cutting machines? Amazing.
I hope youtube can recognize your channel for the quality, genius, experience it represents regardless of view or subscriber count. The only thing better I can imagine is actually seeing the parts being made.....really beautiful. I've been on youtube since '06 and have to say this is Totally unique content.
This was wonderful to see. These watches are functional artwork. My SuperOcean 1500m is just about ready to need servicing, and this let me realize that I should just package it up and send it to Breitling.
Whew...for a minute there, when you put on the finger cots, I thought this was going to be a prostate exam. When I realized it wasn't, I relaxed and watch a great video!
awesome. I haven't seen a whole watch being assembled. we had a German Timepiece watch till the year 2010. it was purchased during world war II by my Grandpa.
Espectacular, siempre tuve la inquietud de ver cómo es un reloj por dentro, felicito al canal por mostrar e esta increíble arte que se pierde en el tiempo, el término de precisión de relojero toma sentido con estos vídeos
The E'TA 2824-2, a wonderful workhorse of a movement with the most maddening hairspring ever invented. Very enjoyable video. The only way I can relax and see a 2824-2 being assembled. LOL
You sir, have earned my sub. You are very good at making sure to show everything you're doing in an interesting way. And my love for watches is satisfied by watching your videos.
Though, I think the music shouldnt be there, and the mic volume turned up way higher, for this to be called asmr. Still satisfied and thoroughly relaxed
Какие чёткие и отточенные движения рук. Сразу видно работа профессионала. Именно так они и работают. Молодец! Уважение к таким. Люблю смотреть подобные работы.
I see in your comments below, you do this as a hobby? How long have you done it for. How do you learn how it all works. Because you don't leave anything out. Your processes are flawless, very neat and tidy, no clutter, no hand shaking or repacking up delicate pieces unlike people who claim to be professionals. Its a talent for sure.
Lubrication of reversing wheels: Did you know that surgical spirit contains 2.5% castor oil. As a hobbyist, I’m immersing my reversing wheels in this as it’s a lot less expensive than specialist proprietary offerings. By the way, thanks for this video which has been very helpful for my eta 2780 service.
Excellent work and a great video. I never could do such a job at all. And, I like the music in your videos, too....not that crappy hip hop music that you hear in many other videos here on YT. Again, great & excellent work! ;-)
If you take any part from any luxury watch it will represent just a tiny fraction of the overall price. Even high-status brands like Rolex roll the movements off the assembly line by millions. It doesn't cost more than $50 to make but they sell watches for 12 grand. It might cost you another 8 grand that you pay to the grey market dealer because you don't want to spend the next few years licking AD's behind. The value is somewhere in the $700..$1400 price range. That's the equivalent of what it was in the old days when people actually needed a watch for practical reasons.
@@baze3SC you had me until you said a Rolex movement costs $50 to make. Raw materials alone? Sure. Value added (machining, assembly) you’re off by miles.
@@philthedrill2244 ...if you buy from Ebay. It's not like they're made of gold and the complexity is not an order of magnitude higher. In fact I'm inclined to believe that Rolex can make their movements cheaper than ETA because they have the funds to optimize the process and they don't pay any 3rd party for sourcing them. But even if I'm mistaken and it costs $500 to make it's still just 4% of a $12000 watch and that was the point. Movement is the most important part when it comes to function but not when it comes to price.
This was a good watch (hehe), and the music choice was spot on. It's a shame that TH-cam doesn't support multiple audio tracks, like for example .mkv video files do. Then the people that prefer no music or do not like the specific song could choose that track instead.
I have so many questions but don't want to bore everyone else! Where did you learn this? You state it being a hobby but do you keep the watches or sell them? Great videos and even though I have no idea what you're doing for the vast majority, your videos are captivating and quench a deep rooted interest in me that loves things I don't understand. I would greatly appreciate you trying to explain some aspects of the movement and individual components at some point?
Great video thank you! In reference to the previous comments, the underscore can make or break any production as many know. There's no reason TH-cam couldn't offer the option of a simple stem mix, with a selection of a couple of distinct, score style options, and the natsound/fx and any announcer/vo seperate. Would be farily easy. this one might benefit from something less percussive, less subdivided elements and small percussion to compete with the natsound which this one definitely does., slower tempo, maybe jazz, classical, organic instruments. try a piece with some solo nylon string guitar, reverb, finger picking. Something Spanish in style perhaps. .
Went to a jewelry store today. Saw an original 806 Navitimer. It was unfortunately in horrible condition. There was a picture the jewler had, however, of a recently sold original with the 1963 recipt for $250.00 withthe original box. It was pristine condition and had never even been serviced.
Really enjoyed this one, beautiful watch too. One question what was the piece of what looked like wood you kept sticking the needle in? Was it to purify the needle before dipping it in the next fluid? Thank you, W

I was actually looking in the comments to see what movement this was. Is it correct to say that this movement is an ETA 2824-2?
Real perfection! Both the video production and more importantly, the watch assembly. Thank you.
Superb video. Thanks for sharing the tools used as well....👌

Yes no music. Just the sound of the tools and movement...
I Also think so!
I agree. *The music is annoying and takes away of the mesmerization.*
It wasn't called asmr. And I liked the music.
I agree. Without music the footage would be even better. ;-)
Jesus... a watch that that was an automatic, became a chronometer. Nothing but respect!!

There's a piece of hair/dirt on the gear at 4:26, hopefully it was picked up, I didn't see if it was cleaned up at a later stage.
@Mr_ E54 nope, I don't think so. Its still there at 5:10

Masterful! ♥️🌷🕯
that was so bloody good, i can never imagine myself doing that
and this is one of the easiest ones to assemble! you should find some chronographs put together to really get your mind blown

much much harder and much longer time and more complicated
