Skinner Horse Logging with Fjords

Taylor Johnson has been horse logging for many years and comes from a line of horse loggers going way back. We spent a couple hours with him in the woods outside Hayward, Wis., where he used his team of Norwegian Fjord horses to skid logs from the woods to the landing. He also gave us a tour of his specially-built logging truck.

The last few mintues explaining how you communicate with your team were so enlightening. Using rubber bits for logging....I've never seen that before. Thank you for showing us that it can be done in a kinder, gentler way.

Couldn't you fix a chain from the double tree to the axle? No need to alter anything else
