As a norwegian I have ridden many horses of these breeds, and i especially love the fjord and the dølahest. Really fun to see them represented! I think the reason there are so few norlandshester is because the icelandic horse is so similar, but with extra gaits, so it's more popular
@@picobello99 from some googling it seems like most breeds have some horses that can learn to tölt, so it's not spesific to the nordlandshest. I found a forum where someone said that their fjord could tölt. This is not common at all though, and i have never seen it. Some years ago i think i read about a connemara that could tölt
Thank you for including the coldblood trotter 😄 In my opinion the best of all the Scandinavian breeds 🥰 Their studbook is open between Norway and Sweden, so it's actually a Norwegian-Swedish breed, not just a Norwegian one.
Being of Norwegian descent on my father's side, I had always been fascinated by the Fjord, and finally got to meet one in person about 8 years ago. My current horse is an American Paint horse, but I hope to have a Fjord next.
I had a coldblooded trotter, a lovely leisure horse that anyone could ride. Brave, calm and forwardgoing. He loved to find new tracks when hacking out, always cooperative, and had a charming and just a little cheaky personality. ❤️
What a lovely segment showcasing all of these Norwegian Horses🐴🌺I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cannot decide on a favorite except to say BRISK has an exceptionally lovely gaze and his dark eyes are gorgeous! 💝 I give up though because I Love them all🐴💝! Thank You Alyssa for yet another beautifully tranquil and Happy Spirited Visit. I am living vicariously through your amazing adventures. Thank you for bringing your Gift to those of us who cannot be with the horses yet who love them immensely. Brightest Blessings 💝🌷💪 & Brave Onwards🐴!
I'm Norwegian to, and grown up surrounde by theese breeds. I'v ridden them all and am proud to say some of them was my friends and partners!!! ❤❤ You presented them so well in this video!!! Loved it!!! ❤❤
That was so special!!! Responsible ownership and the right climate is necessary to assure a happy future. Understanding the headstrong temperament is required for the results seen.
The Norwegian fjord horse sits in my heart, this was so beautiful to watch.so, so greatful that they are in New Zealand ❤❤❤ a few tears may have been shed watching this film
As a Dutch horse girl I fell head over heels for Fjords. Later I watched Dutch rider Jolanda Adelaar bring her Fjord Guus to grandprix level dressage and I knew; these horses can do anything! ... if they want to do it for you, they are a bit stubborn like that^^ Very healthy trade imo :) Amazing video again, loved all of it!
I live in Norway as well and have ridden only 3 of the native breeds, since Nordlandshest are to small for me 😊 Right now I own a 3 year old Døl gelding.
I don't think they mentioned that naturally fjord horses have longer manes that lay flat on their neck and it's only standing up like that because many people cut the hair back to look like that.
One question. How fast can a Fjord horse be? I have seen videos of them galloping but it was always a very slow gallop closer to trot than a fast gallop. I know that they propably aren‘t able to run 60 km/h but it would be intersting to know how fast they can get.
Would have liked to have seperated videos for each breed. It feels rushed compared to the other films you have done. And there is so much about these breeds you didn't mentioned. Must say I'm a little disappointed. Maybe there are more videos to come? One for every breed? But love your channel anyway. ❤️
Fjord is one of my favorites, Love the color
Love these, especially the Fjord.❤
As a northern norwegian, I think it's very cool that the Lyngshest is represented here. It's such a cute little horse.

you are wonderful. Wishing you and the beautiful country of Norway always happiness
I've heard the Nordlandshest is gaited too sometimes. Could you (or anybody else) confirm if this is true or not?

Worked with a fjord cross at an equine therapy place, he was so much fun. And he loved the kids
Cold-blooded trotters can also become amazing horses for working equitation, academic riding, and dressage.
I love the energy and passion of these beautiful people. Thank you for sharing!!

Thank you so much for your great videos. I love watching them 🥰
I wonder if horses realize that when they walk on pavement they make a beautiful sound.
I'm Norwegian and I loan a Norwegian Dole Horse or Dølahest
We love our Fjords 😊
Love it thank you
Amazing
Your back!! Love these Norwegian horse breeds!!

So wonderful. ❤❤
“Come get a Norwegian horse anytime you want” don’t TEMPT ME my bank account would NOT forgive me. 😂 But oh it would be worth it! ❤
😁
Maybe we could get a discount if we pooled our resources 😊

I am Danish from Denmark and learned to ride on a fjord horse. From my understanding, the fjords here in America are super popular, is that right?

I have met a fjord horse at a farm
It probably cost lots of money to ship one to the USA
I think the hight of the horses has nothing to do with the mountains or flat land.
I think the most popular is the fjord😊
1st!
