This is my first time using plugins and its been a real pain so far. I bought and downloaded PIXEL SORTER2 and DATAMOSH plugins and I cant get them to open. I downloaded the installer thing and that doesn't help me. The only thing that happens is VLC Media Player opens up and says that it cannot open up the file. I cannot unzip the file because I am not seeing that as an option when I right click. I'm on windows 10.

@@aescripts I actually just got it to work. I tested it and its showing my clip as a black box with a red x in the top left corner. Not sure what to do

I tried that. Im wanting to just apply it to white text on a black backt

@@aeko Yea a little. I was trying to get this effect on type. I precomped my type layer, added pixel sort to the precomp layer, then created another comp with just fractal noise and set the source layer inside pixel sort to the fractal noise layer. Then you can mess around with the fractal noise to get the desired amount of pixel sort.

​@@thirdd3 That was exactly the tip I needed to get it working! I had to add a white or black solid (opposite of the text) to the background to get it working. Doesn't seem to work well with alpha text. This plugins lives in the grey levels when using Luminance. Full black or white doesn't have much effect. I didn't totally understand how it was working, now understanding it better. Thanks!
