Once you've brewed your potion you can put redstone in to make the potion last longer. Use gunpowder to make a splash potion.

To add many enchantments on ur armour or other stuff u will have to use an anvil its made with 3 blocks of iron and 4 ingots u will have to search about the enchantments that are compatible for each weapon tool or armor each one have different ones, each enchantment have different max level like shapness V (5) and others if u have two same level u can upgrade them to level 2 then with other level 2 and so until its max. this are enchantments i think are most important : protection ( max level IV , 4* ) for any pice of armor , for sword or axe sharpness (max level V, 5*), for ur pickaxe fortune (max level III, 3*) efficiency ( max level V, 5*) and unbreaking (max level III, 3*). and the enchantment mending (max level 1)will repear any tool or armour when u get xp its compatible for any stuff and u get it from treasure chest or trading with villagers. i hope this info helps :)

You should use a respawn anchor and put it near the fortress. You craft it with crying obsidian and glowstone and it is charged with glowstone, it's a way to set your spawn point in the nether

I've finally caught up with all your episodes! I've been really enjoying watching you discover Minecraft. I have a couple of suggestions for you, if you are open to them. Firstly, you can farm the nether wart - just plant it on soul sand and wait until the plants are about a full block tall before you harvest them. Secondly, in dark places like the nether or in caves, use lots of torches, even if you know you are about to be ambushed and will die, because it will stop the mobs from spawning when you get back to that spot. Also, the brighter it is, the easier it is for us viewers to see what you are doing - otherwise, we're just watching a dark screen on TH-cam. Finally - if you start to use a system of placing torches, like always place them on your left as you explore, then you know the way out/home is to follow a torch path on your right. In the nether, you can place two unnatural blocks high, then a torch on the correct side of your mini tower. I'm looking forward to seeing what your next mission will be!

I had a lot of fun watching you deal with enemies. One piece of information, the black skeletons (wither skeletons) measure more than two blocks, so they cannot pass through where you are two blocks high, in addition to the fact that they attack 2 times at the same time instead of dealing a single blow. sometimes you should take less precautions and not lock yourself up if it is not strictly necessary. it is best to run and put torches throughout the fortress. The enemies are not as fast as you are running so it is safer to run. good luck with this series
You can also look in the options and change the q key to avoid throwing your things by mistake and change that option to another key

Congratulations! Nether fortresses are probably the most lethal part of the early-mid game. Maybe it's just that I have a different style, but I might suggest not carrying multiples of every tool. It fills up your inventory and makes collecting resources much harder (NTM I noticed you sometimes having trouble switching between your picks and your swords when a baddie shows up). Carry a stack of wood planks and a bunch of iron ingots. You can craft replacement tools or weapons as you need them. Also, your careful tunneling is a 100% valid strat, but the cost is that you give the mobs more time to spawn, giving you more enemies to deal with.

  • @hereandthere9023
    @hereandthere9023 ปีที่แล้ว

One thing you have going for yourself: you go in swinging. Some people don't fight, but you go after those boars and other mobs that attack you. That is a good thing. 🙂
Get the soul sand that the netherwart is growing on. You can then grow it at home.
You can brew different types of potions. Most of them start with an Awkward potion, which you get by brewing Netherwart into water bottles.
Brew golden carrots into awkward potions to get night vision.
Brew Pufferfish into awkward potions to get water breathing.
    Etc, etc.

To grow nether wart, you need soul sand from the Nether. Then you can bring it to the overworld and just plant the nether wart on the sand to grow more
Also, if you wanna make potions last longer you can brew redstone into the potions

Enchantments can be directly placed on stuff or into books.
Enchantments can be combined using an anvil, combining books is vey useful. This is where the villager trading hall comes in. Librarian villagers sell Enchanted books. Top trades are Mending and Unbreaking then Efficiency/Silk Touch/Fortune/Looting.

When you get home plant the nether warts in soul sand for nether wart farm place lava in the middle of the farm like water for faster growth, and you need a saddle to ride a horse you left one back there in the chest in the fortress where you found the diamonds, golden horse armor can be worn by horses you tamed

Great job with your neither trip but I think until you get better at the neither you should use iron and gold armor. You need to build a base around your neither portal with cobble stone add a double chest in it to store back up things you will need when you die. If you make gold apples and carrots and eat them when you are in trouble with mobs you heal faster and your food saturation is better. There is a gold block back at the destroyed portal that you got the lava for the cow build.

Ok, to get unlimited nether wart, you need to grow what you have on soul sand. It’s that brown stuff it was growing on. It makes you run slow.
To get multiple enchantments on your stuff you need two things: an anvil and enchanted books. Put your item in the anvil with the book and you can add enchantments to stuff that’s already enchanted!!

    Oh dear.
    Yes, that does indeed happen...
    Yikes.
    You're not alone.
Many a diamond has been lost that way...
    24:37
A little bit of milk might help.
Use a bucket on a cow.
Being the milk, and when your health bar goes black, drink it.
It doesn't give protection from the effect, but it does cure you of the effect once applied to you.
    33:26
I *think* that's the right room?
    39:24
Your technique *does* work, but it's perhaps a little excessive?
You can slim it down to the essentials.
    Roof vs the black skeletons.
Wall vs ranged enemies at a distance.
If you're in a hallway something at chest height can block access to you.
    Etc.
You'll get there with time and practice. :-)
You can run to a location and manage on the outside if there isn't too many of them, then build "safe houses" etc.
Occasionally the technique you used *is* needed, but with all the work involved it's usually a last resort.
    43:36
    I'm proud of you. :-)
Now just start farming the nether warts. :-)

Tip: You can right mouse click and hold to drag one item in each slot. Works in crafting and chests.
Clicking and holding left mouse will equally distribute items over the slots that you hover over.
You can ctrl + click or shift + click (I forgot which one) to quickly move items from inventory to chest, or equip armor, vice versa

The black skeletons in the fortress are called Wither Skeletons. When you get hit by them you get what's called the wither effect. You can get rid of it quickly by drinking a bucket of milk. When dealing with anything dealing with Withers I always keep a milk bucket in my hotbar.

  • @BetterwithDave
    @BetterwithDave 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

I know this is an old video, but after about 20 episodes I have watched, I can't keep my mouth shut any more, maybe this is all for not if you are still playing minecraft today. Your 3 biggest problems are this, your inventory hot bar is so disorganized, you need to keep the same thing in the same spot so when you are in a pinch, you know where your sword is, and you are not fighting with a wood block or a fish. And speaking of swords, that's what you use to fight with, not a pick ax. You need to eat a lot more than you do, because even if you are a little hungry your hearts will not replenish. Lastly instead of sitting there saying you are going to die, fight back WITH YOUR SWORD. If you did just those couple of things you would not die nearly as often. With that being said, I am enjoying the series, very entertaining - even though I catch myself yelling at you!

Congrats, Bree, yeah the nether fortress is really hard, makes you question how the devs expects the players to do it, without barricading tons of saferooms throughout and they add in two mods that applies status effects that drains your health overtime differently, fire and withering, (drinking milk removes the wither) the gameplay of the fortress is kind of clucky, but necessary to do for potion brewing. anyway great content you making

0:33 So the odd thing is that the Nether is actually 1/8th of the overworld, but they're also both infinite. What that means is that traveling 1 block in the Nether will travel you 8 blocks in the overworld. Nether portals and tunnels can be used to travel huge distances in 1/8th the time, but it's not recommended unless you're traveling thousands of blocks at the very least, since portals can be odd to set up and usually aren't exactly where you want them unless you do some math and some fiddling. That's way down the road though. You probs won't need that for a long while.
