Trump will be objectively worse, hard as it is to believe. For one thing he's spoken favourably about collective punishment directly saying you need to go after terrorist's families. Horrendous as Biden is he hasn't gone that far.
I won't deny the choices are undeniably shitty, but I think voters have an obligation to not make things actively worse, at the very least. Underestimating how insane Trump is will be a big problem for a lot of people I'd say.

Israel messed with Iran not the other way around
On the response from Iran:
This has been labelled as extreme and disproportionate. If judged by the effects, this is patently untrue: it was a shot across the bow, a disproportionately REDUCED response. No civilians were killed, an extreme and disproportionate response by Israel's historical and October 7th standards would have been to have killed hundreds of civilians in response to the consulate attack and killing of 13 people. Iran killed none - and this was clearly the intention.
If Iran wanted to attack military installations with zero casualties and exert a heavy financial burden on Israel, what would be the best strategy? Precisely the one deployed. They would have known that most drones and missiles would have been shot down, and this would have come at a considerable cost to Israel (an estimate of the cost of shooting down the Iranian attack was over one billion). So if they want to attack a military installation then they must launch a huge number of drones and missiles - it is no use launching one or two, unlike Israel on the consulate, of course . This is clear and obvious - to generate the effect they wanted, they needed to launch that many drones and missiles at Israel and to avoid casualties they had to avoid civilian targets and provide 72 hours notice - which they did.
An extreme response would have been to have killed many times more than were killed, a proportionate one would have been to target like-for-like civilians and comparable military status casualties: there was clearly no attempt to do so.
If Iran had other intentions - to exact a proportionate or disproportionate response - then they would not have closed the issue but escalated the conflict since they would have failed to have done so.
It is very hard for anyone to claim that the outcome that happened was not intended, predictable, and a warning rather than one intending to escalate the conflict.
Iran demonstrated they could exert a considerable financial burden on Israel, and that they could deplete its defences and penetrate the iron dome at will.
These are the most critical of times, and yet still we see deluded narratives from political figures and journalists so frightened of losing control, that they would sooner risk armageddon, than speak truth to the masses.

I'm glad the sanctions on Iran are relatively benign. They do not touch oil exports or exports of agricultural products such as saffron. If certain individuals cannot travel to the U.S. or Britain that's not going to be a real issue.
