Too bad yhe puller doesnt work that easy in real life on this particular harmonic balancer. I have no idea how you made it look that easy. I camt even get mine to drop the arms down to the correct angle to grab yhe ears on the back if the pully....but somehow tours worked wothout issue
What was the time frame from start to finish? Keep in mind I don't have a car lift or a mechanic shop. But I do have all tools needed for this job and I'll have my 12' Ram 5.7 on ramps.
I just did one of these balancers, his tool does not exist nor could I find the one when I did my motor 2 years ago, it was an OEM made one and had longer tangs for catching the 3 tabs. Harbor Freight has a box of pullers, like 4/5 different sizes 3,4,6,8 etc. They are not hardened so we managed to use one till it was almost off then threads gualded, luckily had other sizes we made work. Then piece of wood and mallet it back on like he did till you get about 5 threads then zip on with impact and torque it. Oiling it makes it slide nice.
I understand everything that was said my problem and question to you is. Where's the mark on the harmonic balanc her and the crank? How do you line them up? How do you know where to shut the h*** monic balancer? That's the question do you have an answer I am curious

The balancer puller you have linked in the description is not even close to the one used in the video and definitely won't do this job...
Thank you very much for this video, it helped a ton!!
What type of bolt did you use on it ?
What tool to use to get the balancer out?

How do you keep the pully wheel from spinning as you remove the holding screw
How come my pulley spins with me as I try to loosen the bolt?
