I don’t know if you would consider this “older” but phantom hourglass and spirit tracks also feature you finding full heart containers instead of heart pieces. They are newer than ocarina of time at least.
I don't blame you for not knowing... It was only on the Wii U verson of Lost World Somehow the PC port lacked both the Zelda and the Yoshi crossover levels
This level was like a nugget of gold in a dung heap. Sonic Lost World was “not good” to put it lightly, but this level wasn’t just a fun crossover, it was a shining example of what could’ve been. I would spend a lot of time mucking about in the Hyrule field portion. The wide open space was perfect for Lost World’s control scheme and the section where you actually have to use one of those suitcase items you usually just forget about caught me completely off guard. I like to think a lot of what we see here inspired Sonic Frontiers.
I think lost word is good. At least I’d consider it one of the better 3D Sonics. It experimented a lot I felt like it did a good job finally modernizing 3D sonic. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a big step forward in my opinion
The dungeon music might actually be straight from a link between worlds, which is basically the spiritual successor to a link to the past (i believe a link between worlds and lost world came out the same year too). Love the video! I never knew there was a sonic/zelda crossover outside of smash

I actually wrote a fanfiction that was a Sonic story, but it was told in Legend of Zelda style. I doubt that SEGA was inspired by that considering I wasn't the best at writing back then, but it is an interesting idea.

Funny thing about the Zelda Zone is that its the most efficient way to farm animals for the Speedrun! The community actually restored the DLC on PC and are now able to use it for runs!

it's funny on how navi, fi, midna, and luigi of all people show up at once and started speaking random gibberish and sonic is like "screw this I quit, I'm going home and eating some chili dogs".
What makes me laugh more is that Sonic has somehow stuffed his top and middle quills into his little Link hat, and I find it adorable. Not to mention the little extra animations they added for him. Seeing Sonic rummaging around in the chest is super cute T0T

I downloaded this DLC before the Eshop closed last year despite not owning Lost World, just in case I ever got a copy down the road. Well I just finished the main game tonight, more than a year later, and playing through the Zelda and Yoshi zones was the cherry on top. Glad I had the foresight to download these when I had the chance! Even at their short runtime, it's such a treat to see Sonic in Hyrule at all! Thank you for the fantastic breakdown!
Honestly I’m a massive Zelda fan and slightly above average sized Sonic fan but I’ve never thought of them crossing over very much. I mean it’s probably because Sonic is somewhat futuristic in most games where Zelda tends to fall into some approximation of midevil times and the Zelda timeline’s already confusing enough without Sonic in there.
If they do a full Sonic and Zelda crossover, they would probably have to keep it fairly simple. Perhaps just a non canon spin off kinda thing like Hyrule Warriors. It may have a similar vibe to Sonic and the Black Knight, which also has a midevil setting.

I've never played Sonic Lost World, but I'm surprised I'd never seen or heard of this content before. I had seen Sonic in the green tunic, but I didn't realize the collaboration went even further. Also, the Sonic collaboration in Monster Hunter Rise is pretty awesome. I especially like getting to display the Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles figures in my hunter's room. Unfortunately that collab is no longer available to download though.
You could use bombs in the Legend of Zelda on Gossip Stones to make them fire off like a rocket just the same way as in this crossover level. Didn't hear you mention that.

We need a Legend Of Zelda and Sonic crossover game. Sonic is copying The Legend Of Zelda after all. He's a Legend Of Zelda fan. And the LOZ Characters are Nintendo Counterparts of the Sonic characters.
The Legend Of Zelda characters and Sonic Characters are very similar that they are basically the same person. Sonic is like Link, Tails is like Tulin, Knuckles is like Sidon, Amy is like Princess Agitha, Eggman is like Master Kohga, Shadow is like Dark Link, Silver is like Rauru, Mephiles is like Ganondorf, and so on.

8:15 Since this version of Hyrule is based on Twilight Princess, the bombs could’ve been the bomblings. They were bugs that can explode upon being attacked, burrow in holes, and spawn endlessly. You could also buy them in the bomb shop in Kakariko Village and stash them for yourself. Not sure why they weren’t considered. Or to stem from what you suggested, Majora's Mask had REAL Bombchus. Creepy rats with wide smiles and a bomb at the end of their tails. I don’t care if they were in Termina and not Hyrule, this game is clearly not consistent with canon anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Those are some good ideas! I forgot about them. I think the Majora's Mask bombchus would fit well since it would be consistent with all the other enemies being from Ocarina of Time because the 2 games look the same 😁.

The rupees dont give points, they give flickies Which is needed to open up every zones Act 4
Ah, I think you're right. For some reason, I assumed that Rupees/Flickies got converted into points when you finish the level. I completely forgot to mention that Flickies unlock levels 😅. Thanks for pointing this out.
Since this video is just about the Zelda Zone and not Lost World as a whole, I guess this isn't the worst mistake I could've made, but I wish I had double checked that 😅
@@PixelKeyPlus it's cool. And yeah. I played enough Lost World to know that it does that. Far as I know it doesn't add to points... Which on the Wii U, the points don't matter, so I never paid attention there lol.
