I'd say a couple bands of mention would Venom, and Merciful Fate. Pretty big at that time.

i started out with raining blood cause of gh3 =/ one day i just decieded to look up something other then raning blood and i think it was c.w the got me hooked i love this band and im glad i decided to look up other songs by them

this is cool. I don't think too many people realize that the end riff of C.W. is the beginning riff of G.o.W.
It does make sense Chemical Warfare Transitioning into Ghosts of War. The after math of a War leaves a bunch of dead soldiers Hence "Ghosts of War".
