    The pizo under the hood next to the brake booster is broken. Dude, glad you got it working!

    Awesome, you got it working!
    FYI, I just found out that you don't even need to have power locks to have the VIP RS3000....it was installed on some cars as a standalone remote-controlled alarm system.

      That’s wild, I had no idea it came on non power lock cars. But huge thanks, the rs3000 is 10/10 for sure.

      Hmm, no green button on the black box on my corolla ce 97.

    • @CorollaChronicles
      @CorollaChronicles 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sergisamongas It could be possible that you have the VIP S1000. That would mean no green button because no keyless entry.

      @@CorollaChronicles I have had this car since 97, lol. And it did operate with same remote that's in the video, but one day remote stopped working and light by the handbrake didn't work anymore, so I just used the key to get in. Remote did flash little red light when being pressed. Now I put new battery in the remote, it's operational, but the cars receptor looks dead.

      @@sergisamongas That is entirely possible. I've heard of these units failing before, most likely because they're reaching 25+ years old. I'm 99% sure you could fix everything by replacing the security system ECU.

    For a future project you should paint the valve cover with light silver vht paint and give it a new 16 valve efi decal .

    Weird. My nieces old 1999 Camry LE V6 had an original factory toyota keyless entry fob that would lock/unlock the doors, but no Security light or Factory Alarm anywhere in the car. It did at some point in it's life have an aftermarket Viper Alarm System installed. The previous owner we bought it from 3 years ago said it was disabled and they lost the remote for it. I am a little confused as to how it could still have keyless entry. Could you get these older Toyotas without a factory alarm, but still with the keyless entry feature?

    • @FSM_Reviews
      @FSM_Reviews ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. There was a V.I.P. Keyless Entry System option that used the RS3000 fobs but had no actual alarm.

    Corolla 97 ce owner. My keyless system stopped working sometime ago and I just used the key. But your video prompted me to look into get it back to work. Found the black box under the seat, but cannot find the green button. What else can do?

      That was the hardest part for me, it has been quit a while, but what I did was look up what the box looks like online, and just feel for it with the paper clip. Definitely not comfortable few minutes.

    My 96 seems to have it but nothing is connected. No under seat module or any eveidence there was one.
    My 98 has this but ive never had a remote and never peaked under the seat.

    Do you know what key fob works for a VIP s1000 system module?

    • @CorollaChronicles
      @CorollaChronicles 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The VIP S1000 does not have keyless capabilities. So no key fob will work with it. It's controlled by the keyhole on the doors and the ignition.

    My 96 has the alarm but no key Fob and the alarm prevents my car from starting at times, anyone know how I can get my car started? I disconnected the module under the seat and still no luck in getting the car started, can someone help please?

    • @CorollaChronicles
      @CorollaChronicles 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Disconnecting the module under the seat automatically cuts the starter.

    • @repeatman
      @repeatman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On the main rs3000 harness theres 2 wires (Corrolla black, Camry red) on the far right. Splicing those together bypasses the rs 3000 starter kill.
