I seeked out this generation Corolla with a 1.8L engine and 5 speed after watching this video. It was very hard to find one within 500 miles of me. Eventually I found one 15miles away, it pretty much needed another engine to pass emissions due to the piston rings and few other things. If not for emissions, the car would be able run and start all the time.
Bought my 1993 Corolla from Hertz car rental in 1994. It is still running like a new car in 2024! I have replaced the starter, alternator, radiator and had a hole in the gas tank. Got my first car, 1995 Corolla
2021 im gonna get one as a first car
I seeked out this generation Corolla with a 1.8L engine and 5 speed after watching this video. It was very hard to find one within 500 miles of me. Eventually I found one 15miles away, it pretty much needed another engine to pass emissions due to the piston rings and few other things. If not for emissions, the car would be able run and start all the time.
The best Corolla model ever made ,, i have white 1996 and blue 1997 Canadian
I have never come across a bad comment on this car, it is incredible.
Bought my 1993 Corolla from Hertz car rental in 1994. It is still running like a new car in 2024! I have replaced the starter, alternator, radiator and had a hole in the gas tank. The only bad thing about these is the speedometer break around 200k miles. I have had to replace 3 times with junkyard Corollas.
i've had 8 of these already, besides the other cars i have owned
In late 2023, still so many of these on the road- big selling point
i also have this car mine is a 95 corolla dx automatic transmission 1.8 liter engine it was a high school gift from my mom my first , everyday car and i still have mine since i was 20 years old now im 47 . i also love my 2nd gen tacoma 2015 i4 2.7 liter engine i use it on the weekends and sometime doing projects with my mom
Thank you for posting
I remember watching this episode on TSN in 1992. I drove used this car for my first road driving test. This is a very solid car but the previous generation Corolla is better looking and has a better interior design.
I bought one for $500 not too long ago, 192k miles and just needs probably a power steering pump. It's wonderful
This was my first car. Bought it new in 1993. It was LE version with 1.8 liters loaded. It ran like new all the way to 70k and my sister started driving it then we sold it after 12 years. This was the only car that was around the longest in the family.
i have this car with 267000 km odo but still running very good with very cheap running cost
I got the same miles right now but only buy the good stuff .Castrol 10w30.ngk irridium plugs.direct import wires and distributer rotor and cap.cleaned throttle body.egr hoses.spectre long Cai with kn air filter.jdm silicone radiator hoses.2in straight pipe new pads and rotors I can keep going
I recently purchased corolla 93 in Pakistan, thanks to USA for auctioning such Hercules !
Still have my 1994 Toyota Corolla
It’s one of the more rare top of the line models, same as the one in this test (nicer seats and fabric along with the red and amber insert in the center of the trunk between the taillights were as the lower models were just black plastic. Has to be one of, if not the best small car I have ever driven. Understated beauty. So well made and thought out. Even the interior plastics have an expensive look and feel to them. The car has so so so many miles on it, but still runs like a champ. (256k on the 1.8L and 4 speed auto) Only problem is being here in Pa...rust belt...she is rusting away. But still love it! It was repainted before I bought it years ago and it was done poorly so that doesn’t help. And I believe it was in an accident at some point. But the air conditioner is still ice cold! Lol
I’d love to find another one of these with no rust! A low mile, clean, rust free Corolla in good shape is would still easily be worth $5000, even being 24 years old!
I think this was about the highest high point Toyota had.
Still great cars and trucks, but some of the styling choices they are making are questionable. I hope they go back to the understated beauty and cohesiveness they used in cars like this one day
(Sorry for the long comment, just really have a soft spot for this wonderful car!)
Aaron Hainan Toyota Corolla’s will always win. There’s a lot of play haters out there
I was in traffic one day behind a Dodge Viper the crowd on a deck of some bar was ooo-ing and awww-ing and i stuck myself out of the sunroof of my 07 Corolla and shouted ''all you need is a corolla with a sunroof!'' got a great laugh
Legendary car..
I have my Toyota Corolla 1993 from Last 6 years...& still this car is amazingly strong...I was wondering to do a engine swap on my car..!!! What kind of new engine would be good for engine swap...?!
Love the rollas..., i have the 95
Toyota Corolla is the GOAT of cars
1993 Toyota Corolla a.k.a. Chevy prism you know this car is reliability at its best Japanese car is at the top of their game Toyota Corolla wins every time cars run forever
I always liked the LE hubcaps, but the DX hubcaps were copied in the aftermarket world
My dad has an automatic one.Its old and runs like a new
93 corolla the best car on the road /Honda/beat that
LOL I never see them on the road. My 1993 Honda Accord EX is built way better inside and out.
Kaiser Toyota Corolla‘s or on the road I see him every day they have a good track record WWW. Toyota Corolla’s.com
Civic from that year had better suspension design tbh
@@ShaiyanHossain Way better. Not to mention the build quality isn't even close. These people have no clue.
5- 12- 2017. estoy viendo este vídeo porque estoy a punto de comprar un corolla del 93 con 107 579 miles he visto estos carros con más de 300000 millas.
I despise when people think that Economy cars like the corolla with a standard transmission like a race car drive when there shift were not designed for racing.
i mean
its fun to drive a slow car fast sometimes
@@ShaiyanHossain it's a synchro type transmission so we can do what we like I made mines lighter and did some mods now I'm hitting 95 + no problem c my videos I'm goin to make more soon just want people to tell me what they like
Im keeping this car generation alive.

1994 Toyota Corolla to 2021, 27years old .
Are parts hard to find now?
No
parts of these cars are everywhere
Bought me one a week go with 255k in excellent condition! Could go to 400k
I'd buy one of those things and then put the 4AGZE engine from Japan into it and modifying the stink out of it but I just actually found out that they are really difficult to find actually
True, I did find one today. Other than that, I find a few automatic models here and there. You can also search for the geo or Chevy version.
4agze engine swap in these cars were not bad but theyr a bit outdated since they are the trend back in the late 90s early 00s, the trend nowadays is 2zz-ge engine swap for this car
How many miles do these cars last?
Dono, here's Bill with the answer th-cam.com/video/CWzmDwNQhT4/w-d-xo.html
Where can i find good wind deflectors for 7th gen corolla sedan? Weathertech.com has good quality ones but only for the front two... im lookin for all 4!
