There is a lot of beauty in the world but these days most of the beautiful things are all covered in n cloud of ugliness and they can't look past that to actually see something beautiful in nature like when n dog takes care of n little kitten that lost it's mom like such things in nature seem unusual but it's just n comfortable thought cause n animal of n different species would put their differences aside to take care of n little kitten that only needs n mom and that makes me think that if they can get along then people of different races would eventually be able to get along better eventually
My grandparents had a friendly squirrel that would tap at their backyard sliding door every day for nuts. He was very sweet and grateful. I think I got to pet him once.
Find a suitable spot where they can see you. Keep leaving something there on a regular basis. Once they start to come and get it start staying closer and closer to the spot. Make sure they can see you. Eventually you'll be allowed to stay. Be as relaxed as you can be and possible avert your eyes. Then when you think they've become comfortable enough, hold the food out. First up you might still have to drop it and back off but gradually they'll learn to trust you. Good Luck.
Chipmunks are cute. I was friends with a colony of little Gray Squirrels. I left some treats out for them regularly. Some "friends" of mine threw stuff at them one day. Squirrels are amazing little animals! They are very intelligent, affectionate and PLAYFUL! I grew up with a pet squirrel named Frisky. She was my best little buddy growing up. She had a large cage for when i was at school but she had the run of my bedroom while i was home. I strung ropes from the curtain rod to the closet door to a hook in the ceiling on the far side so she had her own trapeze to run and swing on and hang from. Sometimes if i wasnt giving her enough attention as i layed on the bed reading, she would hang from her back legs over my head and reeeaaach waaay down to grab handfuls of my hair to pull. Over and over! She often slept curled into a ball in the corner of my pillow case. And when she wouldnt allow me to sleep in on Saturday mornings she would jump from the ropes onto the pillow i covered my head with to block out the bright sun and protect me from her. Over and over.....BOOOOMFFF!........BOOOFFF!......BOOOOOFFFF! on top of my head every 30 seconds or so with a round or two of cartwheels and donuts on my chest until i got up. Squirrels awake with the sunrise and an hour of intense play is ALWAYS first on their to do list followed by a big breakfast and then back to the ropes. She would get very excited as she heard me arriving home from school and would begin her floor routine in her cage as i came through the door. And she would literally rush to my shoulder, put her paws on my face and lick and kiss me as if we hadnt seen each other in months. If her arms were long enough she would hug my head. Instead she wrapped up in my hand and you would never doubt that squirrels feel emotion every bit as much as we do if you saw the smile on her face and eyes as she did. She was nothing but a bundle of furry love and fun. I took her to school on show and tell days and she was a big hit with all the kids. She could uuuhhh, clear the teachers cup of about 20 pencils and pens in about 5 seconds flat as if picking so many flowers only to find that NOPE, there really wasnt any treats in there. She was a huge part of my childhood and is probably the reason i am such an animal lover to this day. Had a squirrel that would always come around we gave treats to. Took a couple years before he trusted us enough to actually come up to us. We named him Toast because one of his favorite treats was peanut butter on a piece of toast. If I didn’t notice her right away, she would climb the trim around the door and hang upside down. Other times, I would put a nut on the seat of the swing set and she’d figure out how to get it. I had a huge walnut tree in my backyard growing up so we had hundreds of squirrels living with us. They never got friendly exactly, but they were cordial. You’d be sitting at the picnic table and they’d come and hang out next to you to sun themselves or eat.
Animals know what love is. They only watch out for bad people so they wont get hurt. The good people they let them get close to them, feed them, and pet them.
yep. sand hill cranes will walk right up next to me. they know the drill. sitting helps a lot. you're shorter and don't look near as intimidating. its a humbling experience when their very sharp beaks are only a foot away from your face. its a matter of trust.

What a beautiful song to a beautiful squirrel and chipmunk. Thank you for sharing this video with us on the internet. It is a pleasure to see something nice and heartwarming ❤️❤️❤️❤️
When my family was young we had a family of chipmunks that lived in our back yard. We would lay in bed and watch them chasing each other around.. they scream when they're startled it's so funny. My daughter Heather was the only one that could get close enough to feed them by hand..
The squirrel 🐿️ pointing to itself was sooo cute! Reminds me of the video where the girl called the squirrel ugly and it pointed to itself like "who me?" 😂 Too cute 🥰🥰🥰💜
@@BrendanJFox Ive been to several countries where people refer to them as 'striped squirrels' or 'golden squirrels', as they don't have particular terms like 'chipmunk' in their languages. I could be wrong, but unlike round-faced Eastern chipmunks in Canada and the US, Siberian chipmunks in Russia and China have rather a bit pointy face and don't have two distinct white lines on their back, they just have five darker brown stripes, but they are funny, cute and friendly just as much! Sorry, I really needed to tell since wherever I go, chipmunks are precious friends and neighbors! ☺️💙
I love the spicy character of red squirrels as well. Id love to see reds with tufts on their ears, everyone in Europe seems to be very fashionable, including squirrels!
Hoping to educate, for curiosity's sake! • Black squirrels are actually just Eastern Grey Squirrels as well - completely same species, just different fur colour. • Chipmunks belong to the ground squirrel subcategory within the squirrel family. Not only do they have obvious differences in habitat and living quarters from their tree-dwelling cousins, chipmunks are also classified as omnivores and eat berries, while Eastern Grey and North American Red Squirrels stick to nuts and seeds and will only on rare occasions eat insects! Either way, a very lovely video that reminds me of my youth - thank you! ❤
There is a cute documentary on Curiosity Stream titled Going Nuts: Tales From the Squirrel World that talk about various types of squirrels around the world, chipmunks included. The world’s largest is in India. BIG guy. Prairie dogs are ground squirrels and marmots are mountain squirrels. Anyway, fascinating documentary into a critter we think we know.
My parents rescued a baby Fox squirrel that had fallen out of his nest one cold wet Spring day. Tommy, as he was named, grew into a big happy healthy adult squirrel and learned to live outdoors permanently. For quite awhile, anytime Mom & Dad wanted to see Tommy, they would stand outside and call him name. And here he came, along with his squirrel wife! So cute! Miss you Mom!
In the UK we call the American squirrel, American Grey Squirrel, our own native Red Squirrel which really is red was nearly wiped out by the American grey, we have to take proactive measures to protect the red from the grey. 👍
We have the same problem here in Germany. I hardly see any native red squirrels anymore but many American grey squirrels, and chipmunks in our parks and forests. And let's not forget the racoons.
Yeah. Me too. I talk to them in a low, calm non threatening manner and feed them a fortune in nuts and put out good loving vibes, but they won’t come near me or the nuts until I’m at least 20 feet away.😧
Sadly for us in the UK we have grey squirrels but they are not a native species and they’re not exactly well liked here and they do attack our native red squirrels
They are still Squirrels and Squirrels were the most popular pets in the heyday of the uk. They just get bigger than the red ones and have cool colorings. Also can be more chill. Yeah all Squirrels are territorial in the wild so it'll happen. It's just nature. Go catch a baby, give it a den, and train it. Then you'll have an awesome pet.
FYI squirrels squabble but that's it squirrels don't attack anything and they don't even squabble to hurt each other and that's okay if you don't like our gray squirrel over there we don't like you over here
@@tabeccaletford408 they hardly ever bite even when cornered. I've seen people catch them here and their first and second and third instinct is to try and escape not bite

If I didn’t notice her right away, she would climb the trim around the door and hang upside down. Other times, I would put a nut on the seat of the swing set and she’d figure out how to get it. It was the best!
❤
Beautiful little creatures - all of them!❤❤

That first squirrel was the cutest little chonky chongus I ever did see!!

I agree. They always know. I wish our own species was like the animals we share the Earth with but we seem to hold such anger and hatred towards everything.

There are no bad people. There are people who had different experiences and just trying to survive in different ways
@@justright729 you literally are incorrect in the most literal sense! There are people that truly feel no remorse and commit heinous acts! So no, there are people that are evil and it has nothing to do with them trying to survive. You’re trying to be philosophical, but you couldn’t be further from it!
What a beautiful song to a beautiful squirrel and chipmunk. Thank you for sharing this video with us on the internet. It is a pleasure to see something nice and heartwarming ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love going to Central Park to feed the squirrels!

I befriended two tufted ear squirrels back in 2009.
I guess they are also known to many as Abert's Squirrel.
I love squirrels. They are so sweet and adorable looking! ❤
Great video! Gotta love squirrels! The fox squirrels around my home love to visit and eat from my hand.
They are so cute❣️
Love to see all your videos, you are so kind to the animals, they trust you completely. You have a beautiful soul ❤
The black squirrel is a grey with a mutated gene💚
My neighbourhood in southern Ontario is full of them both.
I'm in love with them all....😊❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Love this squirrel 🐿️ short so much! I keep playing it over and over and over and over and over and.............❤
Love these delightful rodents! Like most animals, they are far more intelligent and aware than we give them credit for!
I could watch this over and over! 🥰
Chip chip stuffing his cheekes.
When my family was young we had a family of chipmunks that lived in our back yard. We would lay in bed and watch them chasing each other around.. they scream when they're startled it's so funny. My daughter Heather was the only one that could get close enough to feed them by hand..
Lovely animals. One note - an extra "be" in the video title
Yes, you're right! Thanks for the heads up
That one black squirrel looks like it was negotiating with the human for the peanut, lol
The squirrel 🐿️ pointing to itself was sooo cute! Reminds me of the video where the girl called the squirrel ugly and it pointed to itself like "who me?" 😂 Too cute 🥰🥰🥰💜
Chipmunks are cute -until they see another chipmunk. Then they go psycho.
Fox Squirrels are pretty friendly too.
Are chipmunks a species of squirrel? Loved the video, my favorite has to be red squirrels!
They're considered a striped squirrel. I had to find a technicality to include them in the video because they're just so adorable.
I love squirrels🥺 their little feet and bellys are just to cute!
*always been a fan of squirrels and their bushy tailed shenanigans*
Unless you live in New York 😢😢😢
My favorite song coupled with beautiful nature/critters, what's not to love?
Love your videos
I love chipmunks. When I was a teen we always saw chipmunks running around playing. Now I hardly see them in southern NJ anymore.
Great video and the song brings me to tears. It's the simple, gentle moments that really matter. Thanks 🙏

So cute! Miss you Mom!
that one cute squirrel is waving to you 💕🌼🐿️ Lots of beautiful squirrel's 🦫🌳
In the UK we call the American squirrel, American Grey Squirrel, our own native Red Squirrel which really is red was nearly wiped out by the American grey, we have to take proactive measures to protect the red from the grey. 👍
We just call them squirrels in Yorkshire bud or squiddals as my kids used to say.
learned that from squirrel girl lmao
reds are so cute tho i LOVE THEM
Brunswick Stew is made with squirrel.
We have the same problem here in Germany. I hardly see any native red squirrels anymore but many American grey squirrels, and chipmunks in our parks and forests.
And let's not forget the racoons.
I’m in Michigan. The reds are still strong some places but a lot of them have been supplanted by the blacks and some grays.
I'm trying to friend mine. I sure feed them enough!
Yeah.
@@stompingpeak2043 … yeah… go catch a WILD animal and tame it.
You know that’s how all these continents got invasive species to begin with, right?
FYI squirrels squabble but that's it squirrels don't attack anything and they don't even squabble to hurt each other and that's okay if you don't like our gray squirrel over there we don't like you over here
@@nancy8219 red squirrel and Grey squirrel are both in America. I see both often lmao

because they know the nature of squirrels. Be realistic, and respectful.
@@cherylcampbell9369 don't get me wrong, although I think squirrels are really cute, I wouldn't try to cuddle one. I know they bite hard
I don't dislike them.
But, an animal that spends hours just trying to make other animals miserable for their own entertainment should not be trusted.
They are very intelligent too.
@@tabeccaletford408 they hardly ever bite even when cornered. I've seen people catch them here and their first and second and third instinct is to try and escape not bite
