Munchy is on a mission. Everyone shows patience with each other's time at the nut bowl, a well-adjusted community of friendly furred neighbors. They're all cuties.
Gosh I wish you could be my neighbour, with all your little furry neighbours as well. Where I live there are no squirrels or chipmonks to feed sadly.
@@hughellis9169 any parks in your area, with small birds like chickadees, nut hatchers, etc.? If so, get some plain sunflower seeds and peanuts, put a little in your flattened hand, and hold it in the air for the little guys to see. It is also fun and makes you feel content. 🐦🙂
I love squirrels. I feed them a variety of nuts, seeds and fruit. They never go hungry. I love these videos.
@@hughellis9169I Havel sparows, they make some loud noises and ,,wrestle,, each other whenever I miscalculate their's amount of food at the window ( I can't always guess how manny would come each time )

I just love the addition of the chipmunks! It feels like when a tv show adds new characters a few seasons in and they fit in perfectly and reenergize the show.

Those squirrels have better manners than some humans.
Some humans would just shove all the nuts up their nose and then blow them out at anyone unfortunate enough to be passing by at the time.

I’ve always found that chipmunks seem to be pretty comfortable around people compared to a lot of other animals.
I remember the first time I saw chipmunks. My late husband & I were walking our dog on a university campus. Well, I flipped out & began screeching, "OMG, CHIPMUNKS! THEY ARE SO CUTE! OMG! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" This was much to the good-natured amusement of several students passing by. I told them, "I'm from New Orleans! I've never seen a CHIPMUNK before! THEY ARE SO CUTE!" I was in my 40s. You can imagine my reaction the first time I saw a deer in our backyard.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

People do not realise how much character and intelligence squirrels have. I have been blessed for the past 3 years to have a wild squirrel/s visit me every day to be fed. The mother , who seems to trust me, brings her baby's into our lounge ( this is the 2nd litter ) to be fed by hand while she sits on top of my head/shoulder eating walnuts without a care in the world. I have not named her/them & apart from the odd gentle stroke on the mummy squirrel I never attempt to touch them. I just let them do their thing. Although we have had a few occasions where another squirrel has come into my home following them and all hell has broken loose as they jump and fly around chasing each other knocking and smashing anything that gets in their way to get out into the garden. We have so many vids & photos of all this and I really should post them on social media.
It's a pity that we don't have chipmunks here in Europe. They are so lovely.
It's interesting that here in Canada, the vernacular French name for a chipmunk is "Suisse" (Swiss). The real name is "Tamia rayé". How they got their nickname is beyond me.

It's interesting the squirrel being the larger animal. I have seen squirrels get agressive and territorial with each other.
These are the most polite critters I think I've ever seen! Everyone waits their turn, even - unbelievably! - the blue jay, who apparently acknowledged he was in the wrong line, lol.
And it is hilarious to watch Munchy work thru the logistics of the (huge, to him) walnut halves.

There's just something so entirely adorable about Chipmunks & 🐿's 🙂. I've noticed also that a Squirrel will leave or wait for a Chipmunk. I've also seen Chipmunks chase Squirrels away. Crazy considering they are so much smaller!
yeah it is funny, chipmunks are very territorial with other chipmunks, they can be agressive but they like people and seem to tolerate the squirrels, i like how munchy emtpies the bowl and the squirrels are sitting there watching.

What Munchy can fit in his cheeks! And it’s June 21 - a long way till winter, but he’s still filling his winter larder! The chipmunks and squirrels are so cute. And those flying leaps off the windowsill into the bushes amaze me!
It’s really interesting how chipmunks are territorial against ea other, but not towards squirrels… and vice versa for squirrels.

I feed squirrels daily. I have noticed that the little red ones are the toughest ones around. They will chase the black and gray ones away from any food. The chipmunks are so fast that no one can catch up to them. They are fascinating to watch.
I love how sedate Munchy is in your presence. He just stuffs those cheeks and runs off to whatever hole he is harboring that horde of nuts at. Odd that he never eats any on the window, just stuff and dash.
He wants to spare our nice lady some cleaning :)

I love your special effects of sound when one squirrel sneaks upon another one or jumps out of fear or needs to defend his turn at the bowl. Munchy and Cheeky are both adorable characters along with all the squirrels. Amazing how patient the squirrels are towards the chipmunks, more so than they are with one another. Quite a little community you have, out there - I would spend hours, watching them :) We had a female squirrel who we called Scraps, in our garden flat in London - she hung out with us for a year and later on, she brought her babies to visit the garden. Once she saw us laughing a lot while making a video, she started doing cartwheels - so funny! I have bumped into another channel about chipmunks, on YT - a lady in Korea (ChooChoo's Story) - also delightful. Thanks for posting!
I watch that channel too (with Chucky (RIP), she is from Korea but now lives actually not far from me in Canada. I can tell from the vegetation and the road signs from her first posts before the chipmunk days. Her channel also says she's in Canada.
They're so adorable ❤I just fed my might crew. I had 6 squirrels, 1 red cardinal, and 4 chippies, 2 are regulars but the 2 new ones are youngsters😂❤ I gave them some meal worms, hazelnuts, walnuts, peanuts, almonds, they've never had the hazelnuts before and all went for them fast 😂❤ I love watching them 😂❤😂❤
