This wasn't a how-to video more a commercial for the how-to video. You fully tricked and forced me into a commercial. You guys are generally better than that. Just as bad as click bate.

Yeah I got sucked in too guess I missed the part where this is "not" a free tutorial. I even checked the link for the introduction to the boom box and it took me half way through watching it that this is a commercial and not the actual tutorial.
one very important thing you should mention in these videos is to MAKE sure your USB drive is formatted FAT32 and NOT NTFS otherwise the radio will NOT read IT.....

So....... the links and instructions for updating the software are out of date. I could not find the Dealer Location file to update the maps. But I was able to update the software.

Hey guys, looking for some guidance. I just replaced my 4.3 HD radio with a 6.5 HD that I purchased used from a friend. Install was easy and the radio works fine. Dealer ship is telling me I need to take it in and get it flashed so it will work properly. Is this true?? It seems to be working fine already. Even the Navigation works.

Routine software updates don't change the flash at all. Just updates the operating system.
My son bought a used one & just updated to the 6.5 but he needs to change the state to wisc for gps.

Only flash if you are going to install other speakers or amp etc.
