FYI - There is no requirement that a judge has to be a member of the bar or even have a law degree. A President can appoint anyone to be a federal judge as there are no constitutional qualifications to be a federal judge. As long as the Senate confirms a president’s judicial appointment that is all that is needed to be a federal judge. The only way to involuntarily remove a federal judge from the judiciary is to impeach them the same way a president can be impeached.

Hunter's appeal serves as somewhat of a wake up call to the Supremacists about upholding this Loose Cannon ruling.

There is no constitutional requirement that federal judges be a member of the bar or even a law degree. A president can appoint anyone to be a judge and, as long as that appointment is confirmed by the Senate, a judge’s term is for life. The only way to involuntarily remove a federal judge from the judiciary is by Congress impeaching them in the same way a president can be impeached.
Time for Cannon to submit her resignation and hightail it to somewhere inextraditable before she ends up being Trump's bunkie in a Coed prison somewhere!

I think it goes back historically (and this is just my opinion) to when the founding fathers were writing the Constitution technically rebelling (much less declaring war) against the King of England would have amounted to treason. So in a sense anyone who was an American patriot was a felon under old English law. No one since then probably believed that a felon would get the support to run for the office of President so nothing was done to change that. Now we know better.

If judge Cannon’s ruling is so wrong, why can’t the 11th Circuit reverse the decision quickly? Why does it seem that the courts can jump when it comes to ruling in Trump’s favor, but defending democracy is like building a freeway? Does the 11th Circuit need help? I’m free tomorrow and I’m sure I could bang out a notice with the word “baloney!” across the top pretty quickly.

Garland does not have to be a boy scout once Judge Cannon rules that a special counsel is illegal. The DOJ should leave Cannon in the dust and seek indictment in New Jersey, where a substantial part of the crimes occurred in Bedminster. Cannon would then be reminded to be careful what you ask for. [Garland's insistence on being a boy scout is poorly thought out, considering how little regard the public has for those types of issues, and moreso considering how little regard the MAGAs have for such issues.]

I'm old enough to remember "special councils" as far back as Nixon's Watergate. With a little research it seems a "special council" goes all the way back to President Grant. How this Cannon imposter can SHIT on the law and STILL sit as "judge" is something I cant figure out.
And they all, other than Jack Smith, have been appointed and confirmed by the senate. This is the odd case in that the AG hired him and made him special council. The government didn't follow the law, I don't know why people are so quick to defend the government not following its own legal processes.
