Judges don't have to be members of the bar. That is an organization for trial lawyers. Her superiors are the justices of the 11th federal court district. She has made so many unforced errors on this case, that one hopes they will remove her from this case and give it to a more experienced and less biased judge.

It's perplexing how long it's taken for anything to be done about this woman's rank hypocrisy and obvious pandering.
Trumps attnys in Chutkan case said today, "we have talked to Clarence Thomas and he told us to bring up the doctrine that Smith is not legally appointed". Chutkan said "you have spoken directly to Clarence Thomas". Trumps lawyer did not respond to her question. Someone needs to follow up on this. Thomas should be removed if in fact he did this.
Lauro is a liar and gaslighter as bad as his client Trump. That little note Thomas wrote in his concurrence on the Presidential Immunity case, regarding use of special counsel, was a sly shout out to Aileen Cannon. Judge Chutkan could care less about Thomas' little notes to Aileen.
There is only one way to remove a judge, and that's to go through the whole impeachment process and have the votes in the senate to vote for removal. That's it. And that's not gonna happen. It's just not--at least not unless there is some public outcry or something, IMHO.

If Senators (and American Heroes for Judicial Ethics) Whitehouse and Wyden haven't persuaded Merrick Garland to _finally_ investigate Clarence Thomas by Inauguration Day, it'll be interesting to behold how Harris might kick-start the process. I'd like to see her begin by replacing Garland. We need much tougher standards, and enforcement, of judicial ethics.
House Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett have also dedicated a lot of time this year to demanding action by SCOTUS Chief "Justice" Roberts on why he allows such obviously partisan political behavior. (His wife has raked in $$millions along with corrupt lawyers.) Go google "Congressional Court Reform Now Task Force" and you'll be delighted to see what Crockett, Adam Schiff, Jamie Raskin, Madeleine Dean, and others are working toward. 😊😊
