Liuzhou "Luosifen": Slurpy, Spicy, and Absolutely Satisfying | Liziqi Channel

- (Liuzhou "Luosifen" is also known as Liuzhou rice noodles with river snails.) Summer is the on-season for processing sweet bamboo shoots. I made some pickled bamboo shoots. River snails and pork bones are stewed for hours to make a delicious stock. A handful of rice noodles, a few slices of vegetables, pickled bamboo shoots and green beans, chunks of "wood ear" fungus and dried daikon radish. Just before serving, sprinkle it up with pan-fried peanuts and tofu skin, and add a spoonful of chili oil. Sour, pungent, savory, mouthwatering, and steaming - this is how a bowl of Liuzhou "Luosifen", the legendary cuisine that has been listed as one of the intangible cultural heritages of China, is made.

i always go back to this channel because i feel like i'm escaping the urban life whenever i watch. the creativity, the peace, the connection with nature, the food (which i hope to taste because they look so good). damn i wanna have the same peaceful life.

My mom would cook authentic phillipino food every single day without stop, after she lost her battle with cancer about a year ago ive never had the same feeling of just coming home from school to smell the most amazing food ive ever tasted. Your videos brings back these memories, the frying of the food sounds the same in your videos, her tossing the food in the wok, the scrapeing of the metal on the pan, i can even SMELL whats going on through the screen. Your videos saved me from ever forgetting her, your videos helped me out through those dark times, though its not phillipino food, the way you cook is so so so similar to my mom’s. Thank you for that. (Ive also shown these videos to my dad and he also loves them, my entire family is full of cooks so this was a breath of fresh air)

I have never seen someone who knows how to do so many things and is beautiful and gracious besides. Not only that, she keeps things pretty, clean and natural. I don't see disposable plastic things around. It's like an organic resort. I don't believe my eyes. I've always thought of rural Chinese as messy and indifferent to their environment (except royalty way back).

The best part about all of these videos is that every single piece of food and every single ingredient is 100% fresh, healthy, and pesticide/steroid free. I envy that the most of all, to be honest.
not quite ... the bacon has preservatives in it. but most of the ingredients she shows are natural.
They would live a long time. I had a health problem when I was 50 and had to change my diet to mainly friut&vegies. Now I'm 65 and feel like 20 again and I can still sprint and ride bikes fast and jump on the trampoline and stuff. It's mainly my diet that does that. I feel younger now than when I was 50.

There's salt, pepper, and some others that she's used.
Yadda Yadda the salt is the preservative and the liquor helps cut down on bacteria etc.
Nothing like watching the graceful lady gather and cook for her grandma and herself, then serve in the lovely garden space.

I think every kid should have a relative that has a ranch or farm something like that, and experience life and joy that’s entirely different from the fast pace city life, and that you need to put effort to learn and grow something of your own

I had been working and traveling around China for 15 years with footprints in some of the remote countryside and villages. I couldn't find any places like your videos with magnificent cinematography which makes an illusion of an organic paradise. She has terminated her contract with her company due to some issues. They took too much of the royalties out of her videos when she did all the job. They couldn't convinced her anymore so she just stop making any videos. I heard she's now doing some tour around other countries to demonstrate China's culture. She pretty much doing fine. I miss her videos as well, but she had chose her right. I always come back to her old videos whenever I feel pretty stress out. Probably hope one day she'll come back again .

For rural people, it's not unusual that you know and can do anything. It's their "normal" compared to us city people. My parents both grew up in the provinces and I'm still surprised at how crafty and skillful they are in so many things,
NoobieSnake sounds like u clearly don’t cook, when you’ve cook something a few times it’s easy to cook it again without any recipe or simply change it a bit. I rarely ever look at a recipe when I cook; because as long as you know the methods of how to handle your ingredients then everything else is easy. And foods better when you actually grow your own vegetables; at times like these im so glad I didn’t grow up in a major city but. A farm city, where we actually have amazing soil to grow stuff in the backyard & know our food grows, where it’s animals or plants

I also agree that whoever can't make 6 different dishes per meal with 15+ ingredients per dish and be able to consistently do it clearly doesn't cook. Who doesn't know that cooking something repetitively will make one eventually learn by heart, right? Clearly someone who doesn't cook.

i… did not know bamboo shoots were that gigantic. i think it’s because the invasive bamboo here in the united states is really skinny and the cooked bits in soup are pretty small, but i had it in my head that bamboo shoots were tiny! you learn something every day
