dude, I went over to their website and it is literally just an infograph. Are you kidding me? Their website has no video on their new flagship headset? I can preorder it though :(
Looks good, and I would have ordered a "MR Capable" Super headset except when I asked what was it I need to make it "MR" I was told I needed to get the MR Faceplate. Asked WHERE do I get the MR faceplate and how much was it? Crickets.... Seems like it doesn't even exist?
Hi I would like to switch to VR and the latest Pimax super headset I like really well with its characteristics do you think I could run it with the 4090 or it's useless it won't work psk I couldn't pay 2300e the headset plus 3000e the 5090… thank you 🙏 Intel Core 19-13900KF (3.0GHz/5.8GHz) ASUS ROG MAXIMUS 2790 hero MSI MEG A/1300P PCIES ATX3.0 80 Plus Platinum ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition 24 gb
Hi Anthony, I think that with eye tracking and foveated rendering, no matter how big the resolution is, only a portion of it will be rendered at high definition. So, your hardware will be more than enough..
PPD 50 or 57ppd in Crystal super will allow us to use as much supersampling to have a clear image. An RTX 5090 will be mandatory given the resolution per eye (3840x3840/90-120hz) if you push the graphics options of the games to the maximum.
It will be when that 200K wakes up... There are always better solutions than Apple at half the price. Remaining in the VR field, with the Quest 3, for example, you can do the same things with slightly lower image quality but at a quarter of Apple's price. The Crystal Super gives you better image quality at half of Apple's price, and with the MR faceplate, you will also be able to do the same things. Meanwhile, Apple cannot be used as PCVR so it is, as always, very limited, not the best quality on the market, and very expensive in my arrogant opinion.
@@FlightSimulation Well, my point is that the money was already spent. Apple already got all that cash which means financially, it was quite successful.
No, it's correct. Most premium OLEDs today achieve approximately 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, while QLEDs can surpass 99%. OLEDs excel in contrast and black levels.
Thanks for watching, mate! With the Crystal, it's better to use the lighthouse for controllers. Head tracking works very well even without the lighthouse, but controllers work better with it. If you already heave base stations, i suggest considering how much you'll use the headset with those games. If they're your main focus, I recommend choosing the lighthouse tracking. If not, you can use inside-out tracking without any issues. You can also opt to try out the inside-out tracking first and switch to the lighthouse faceplate later on.
i preorder the Lite and starting to get cold feet. I dont know if I trust their software, seems very hard to get right. I have a Quest 3 but I need a headset I can use longer than 2 hours
Its actually not too hard, people make it sound much much harder than it is. I have an 8KX and plan to get the 12K when it releases. Tried the crystal and returned mine as it was damaged in shipping, luckily now thanks to the timing I'll get the super bundle to tide me over till the 12k. I was blown away by the crystal I can only imagine what the super will be like.
@@StuartBoyer I bought 2 Pimax Crystal, one of them on the same PC for the same settings had strange artifacts in DCS. Even not talking about USB problems with which I can live. And zero support - that is my personal stoy.
@@ЮрійГордієнко-х2з Sorry to hear that. My experience was the opposite with the actual hardware and my PC other than the damage in shipping. However, the CS support was the same with me their CS is slow took a month to get a refund. But I experienced no artifacting or anything but then again I can run DCS at every setting maxed out so may be a hardware issue with your PC?
@@StuartBoyer My PC just perfectly fine and it is a top configuration. That is only the issue on Pimax side, especially if one device is working fine but second one which identically the same - does not (many issues with USB reported by others). I've sent it back and after ~month received refund, so the "problem" solved. But no more any "preorder" etc - only after reading actual experience from others owners. @@ЮрійГордієнко-х2з May be a second language issue but you are saying one worked and one didn't on the same PC? I thought originally you meant both Crystals you tried didn't work.
Comparing a complete standalone to a headset that needs to connect to desktop pc to work? I guess people persception is still in infancy when it comes to AR/VR
I know a lot of people who bought the Crystal, and none of them had issues. This means that your 99.9% statistic may not be entirely accurate. Just because someone had an issue doesn't mean that 99.9% of buyers experienced problems.
@@FlightSimulation This is not true ))) trivial google "pimax crystal usb issue" gives bunch of topics ))) Even top VR youtube bloggers (sponsored at some manner by Pimax) mentioned about all these issues. Plus problems with battery, usb charger )) I know a lot because I use it in opposite to you.
Your video has done more justice to this product than even Pimax. Thanks for the information.

A really informative and perfect promoting video, looking forward to the Super 👍
September 2024 huh? Why do I feel like this will be delayed for another year?
how much fov do you lose with the oleds?
Thank you so much with this excellent vidéo .
I preorder my Pimax Crystal Super Bundle there is 2 month ago !
Aplushhss !
There is currently no further news from Super. Do you have an updated launch date? Thank you.
Sorry, I haven’t heard anything about it yet.

It is still under development from what I know... it's not available yet.
@@FlightSimulation my point, don't advertise something that doesn't even exist... I'll wait for the 24KXX with 360 degree FOV. 😆

And one more question, should I choose lighthouse or basic tracking will be good enough for some action games like pavlov, half life and etc?

Pc is required?
Yes, the Pimax Crystal has a standalone feature, while the Crystal Light and the Crystal Super are only PCVR.
