Some people like telling others what they should and shouldn’t do with their pets. Crating a dog isn’t for punishment, it does help to have a place for them to go when you have to make quick runs, go to the restroom, take a bath, cook, etc especially when they are younger. I’m currently training a Frenchie and it’s not easy because if I blink too long, he will pee or poop inside after I just took him out for 10 mins. They are stubborn. For the person to call her cruel for using the crate, get a life!!
Well put! I’m also training a frenchie and I knew they were notorious for difficult housebreaking but my goodness this is a hot mess. 😂. This video was perfectly informative and I applaud her and you both for being able to get your frenchies trained. I’m trying the crate now.

@@cruelladefrenchie7692 make the crate smaller I was going through the same thing. My frenchie was doing pretty well through out the day as far using pads and outside but as soon as I crated him at night he would pee or poop I made his crate small and I open the crate and as soon as he think about trying to get out I close it to calm him down and no matter how much he wants to get out he can’t get out until it’s actually time to get out no matter how much he stress bark or cry.

Finally a video I was looking for. I just got a frenchie a week ago. And although she knows "go potty" and to go on the pad in the bathroom, she still goes on the floor to be stubborn. She also is getting used to sleeping on the bed, which was my mistake for letting her sleep with me the first day I got her. She was just so cute though! Now we will see who wins this battle.

My Vinny looks just like your baby. He does really well in crate while I’m at work. I’m not feeling so guilty now but stressed about potty training in an apartment while he still doesn’t have all his vaccines yet

Thank you so much for this it helped a lot! You said he spends most of the time in his crate which is great! Was this straight away? How many hours does he spend roughly? Was it staggered during the day? Or in a block of time. My pup took really well to her crate and she’s only 11 weeks old! We are going to work full time soon so I want her to get used to spending a good amount of time in their to prepare for work! We found a puppy schedule and adapted it but want to make sure Isit okay to leave here there 4hours and then have a break for 2 hours and then back in their for 4 hours and then break for 4 hours and sleep time. I’ve read it leads to distressed and anxiety if left for like more than 2 hours a day? But that’s just hard! So I was worried for the future? But she’s doing well in it so not sure let me know what you think! . 💜

This is so helpful, thank you!! We just got a 4 month old puppy and he’s doing good for the most part; but sometimes he’ll bark/cry at night and when we leave for a little he goes insane and hops out of his playpen
Try e collar on him! We had the same issue and it helped tremendously! We usually set it to vibrate+sound and it distracts him so he stops barking. 😊

Great info! I’m still confused because I have a small playpen that has dual purpose like a crate where his little bed is in . It’s very comfortable although at times he’s doesn’t like to be in there but I have noticed if the crate is covered he’s more relaxed but now getting him to use the indoor pad has been so difficult he avoids it most times and then he goes to a different spot. It’s difficult because he also has diarrhea and he’s been eating it but now he hasn’t been eating it as much . I gave him butternut squash today and he loved it lol . Definitely I’ve been doing a lot with him and it hasn’t even been a full week and he’s already learning some commands like how to follow me, his name, walking with me or towards me he’s the cutest! He’s 3 months so tiny and cute lol if you have any extra advice for me it will help so much thank you 🙏🏽
Any advice on how to train a dog to not be scared of me? She is very scared and anxious but slowly got a bit better. I am pretty sure she was abused by a man previously.

We have both a crate and a play pen. They’re not connected like some people do. Our puppy does way better in his play pen than he does his crate. Is that ok or am I going to regret. Or crating him? Any help appreciated!

Hello I’ve got a 4 month old frenchie girl and she just hasn’t got the hang of going toilet out side and even when I’ve waited and she’s finally gone I praise her and give her a treat the minute we go back inside she goes of and goes toilet, Any advice would be very appreciated,

I have had my frenchie 2 days im totally stressed . I been dreaming about this for so long but I dont know I have what it takes she is 4mnths old and I dont think she is understanding anything except her name and cuddles . So any advice is welcome .
Aww, I feel you! I felt like giving up for a year straight- if not my husband, I probably would give my Frenchie away because I was so exhausted 🙈 , but now he’s three years old, has no giardia, and is a lot easier to deal with ;) puppies have a ton of energy, so it’s good to let them run around, but if you don’t have a yard, doggy daycare could be an option for you!

we had a major problem with ours eating too fast. We even bought one of those maze bowls. And he still tries to eat his food like someone is trying to starve him. We had to start giving him a 1/3 at a time. Or else he would regurgitate his food back up.
We have the same problem with our Frenchie :( he swallows the kibble whole without chewing. Even maze bowls don’t help.

Hi Ronda. How did it go with your puppy. I have a 10 week old Frenchie I am trying to train.
She is 10 mos now and she does pretty good. The only issue is she isn't very vocal. Like she doesn't come whine or anything when she needs to go. You just have to take her out periodically. I know her signs and can catch her before she goes in the house but if I get busy and don't pay attention she will still use it in the house. She is a bit stubborn. Super sweet but very stubborn.
I just wanted to say that kibble is the healthiest option. Good kibble like Hills Science, Royal Canin, and Purina Pro Plan, have been studied extensively and ensure that your dog is getting all the nutrients they need. Raw diets CAN be healthy, but it’s harder because it can vary so much. Always consult your vet and dog nutritionist! I’m glad it works for your Frenchie though :)
True! Royal Canin may not have the best ingredients, but it works well for a lot of dogs :)
I don’t like any of those brand I prefer Gentle giants. Actually real ingredients. I use it on both my dogs and I will never buy any other brand now other then gentle giants

the best food brand with healthiest ingredients is made by orijen brand . check out its ingredients.. very high in protein no grains and no meat meal only real meat.

Yes, usually by standing by the door 🚪 but we take him out regularly so he rarely needs to ask

Yes, he was sneaky too! He would hide and eat it... he had giardia so it was super hard to cure it with his terrible habits ;) fortunately he is on the schedule now, stopped pooping inside and we don’t have that problem. He just turned 1 y and 4 months.
Make sure to take him out a lot so he won’t go inside. It’s very important. That helped the most. Since he started going outside to poo he lost interest in eating his own poop. And we also got rid of giardia!

Hi. Did your dog stay in the crate all day except when he went potty? When did you know it was okay to stop using the crate?
I mentioned in the video how often and when I would take him out of the crate. I still use the crate, but mostly when we are out or when it's not safe for him to be out of the crate. When he stopped peeing/pooping in our apartment, then we allowed him to sleep outside of the crate.

Hi, my puppy also has Giardia. What tips do you recommend as far as dealing with it goes? He tends to try to eat his own poop at times so I’ve been working on getting him not to. Do you recommend anything else for the Giardia?
I’m sorry to hear that:( Make sure your pup won’t eat his poop - otherwise nothing will help and that’s why it’s so hard to get rid of giardia. Unfortunately that means that you will have to take your puppy out very often and also at night. Find good food for him so he won’t go so often - less fiber the better. Look for

Use treats! Put your hand above their head (holding a treat) and whenever they sit say the command "sit" - try it around 5-10 times and you will see they will get it :)

I used to cook for my miniature English Staffordshire / French Bull Terrior, and I was told I was being cruel for cooking meat for him to eat; sometimes I was comvinced of this possibility, especially if he got the runs. I would periodically also give him ice cream. He was a shared pet that I was forced to abandon due to neighborly competition over him although the town tried to award him over to my continued care. Of course I want him back, but not sure if new landlord would allow it, anyway. The more that people compete over him, the more isolated & lonely he becomes. His name is Doobie. You can imagine by his name why it is the town would prefer to register him with me.
Meat is fine, especially raw. a dogs metabolism is designed for meat. However feeding sweets is not recommended. it can make you dog sick!

my mates 6 months Frenchie is allways peeding and pooing inside even tho he does it outside aswell I looked after him for A MONTHS AND OMG HE PEED ON MY DAUGTHER BED AND SOFA AND POOED EVERYWERE hes so glingy aswell he moans for hours and I mean hours at min hes human mummy is in a women refuse because her ex beat her up hes already stayed at 3 people house but no one can look after him cos off hes moaning and peeding and pooing have you got eny tips hes mummy knows its not a good thing hes goin throw this but the refuse wont have a dog so eny adives please ive tried with treats and saying good boy but its not working at all he just aint listen ive got him while hes goin to her sister till she gets rehomed but we need results now its but me off ever having enother puppy my too dogs aint nothing like this both my dogs both was trained at 2 months

Why is food and water in crate a dog should be on a schedule if a puppy and at one yr not same as a 4 or 5 month old also if your putting puppy pads they will pee and poop in. It can't do that unless you just won't he around for 5+hours
Exactly, feeding them and giving them water is to help them like being in the crate.

Evil people keep their dog in a box. Why even have a dog if you are keeping him in a box? Responsible people can house train their dog in no time. You seem like a terrible person.
Lol why do people keep kids in the crib? Tortellino now is trained and old enough that he is fine staying home alone without a crate.
