Storm crying,Prof.X and Jean dancing by T.K. This was the best thing to me about the X-Men, the family aspect of it in the 80's and 90's😊 lost people creating a loving family
When I got this I really thought they would be kept together, like Sue and Richard. So many alternate timelines with the X-Men, so many alternate kids!
@josesarango3408 I feel the same way as you. I know that the Grant Morrison run is lauded as making the XMen relevant again, but, TBH, I didn't enjoy his run that much. I think i enjoyed the Peter Milligan XForce run more than the GM XMen run. Although, there's a chance that these commentaries make me re-evaluate my view on the GM run.
Looking at this is bitter sweet. This was the X-men I grew up with, These high aspirational ideals and meaningful relationships had a huge impact on me growing up. I was so hopeful for the future of the series and the evolution of the characters relationships. As time progress though It seemed like moments like these were lost and consideration for the history of the characters took a back seat to salacious controversy and acts of... whatever to create eye catching headlines. I miss this era.
Yes, it was a splendid era, consistent with what Claremont established during his long 16 year run. Some of the problems with today's X-Men comics is that they are deliberately created to NOT be anything like the comics of the 1980s and 1990s.
Rattle that cage, shake the status quo, integrity of the characters be damned. That last part was too essential to me. Eventually I didn't read any of the titles. Scott's affair was when I dropped the X books, though. I waited a long time for these 2 to get married. They were my favorite Marvel couple. I liked how the issue began and ended with a note from Logan. And that telegram is so 100% dead on Logan. Dear Chuck, lighten up, yer ole pal Logan.

That’s exactly right!

Yeah, Danny, it was Grant Morrison who changed things up between them. I'll get to those issues in the future.
Grant Morrison... eeee... I'll just say not a fan

Excellent, James!
@@comicsbazaar4508 thanks. 😀👍
Rachel is scotts Daughter.
Yes, Gavin. However, see my review of UXM Annual #14 for my speculations regarding Claremont’s possible intention that Wolverine may be her father.
