Looks fantastic. I have a 4x8 Harbour freight trailer that i use for my 10 ft. pond prowler. Wish mine look as good as yours. Proud of you. Keep up the good work.
DRock Fishing I called yesterday and they said i should get the registration and title around the second week in July. I just got the pedestals and spring boat bases in. Still picking out seats. Looking at the Yamaha 6hp engine 😄
Thanks! Initially that was the plan but I went with flatbed for a few reasons. The boat fit the trailer snug and I didn’t want the fenders rubbing against the plastic during transport. The flatbed elevated the boat enough to avoid rubbing. Another thing was that the boats pontoon won’t completely sit on a 2x8 bunk and since it’s plastic I didn’t want it to warp or get a memory. Also with a flatbed I have multiple uses for this trailer. Love the way it came out!
Thanks for the Sub just subscribed to yours as well. Your absolutely right hauling this thing back and forth by yourself is not easy lol I would find myself going bank fishing just to not load the boat on my truck lol.
Thank you for subscribing as well. I hope to make another video soon. It's hard to make good content with just a phone. I love working on these little boats. Always trying to make them better. I actually made a umbrella holder today for the boat. I live in Illinois and it does get hot here in the summer. Low to mid 90's for at least next 2 week's and not much rain. We get to experience the tropics and the North pole every year. Fish on!
the rusty fisherman I love working on them as well! My first videos were made on my iPhone as well then my wife bought me a GoPro lucky me lol. Here in Texas it gets HOT! 100+ most of the summer.
Thanks bro! I saw one on letgo a couple days ago for $100 with a jet ski! I think the tires were good too so for $100 that’s not bad at all even if you don’t use the jet ski. Look up jet ski it was in Donna.
I have a 2-3 foot overhang on my small motorcycle trailer with a 10E. Would it be fine? I have the battery and trolling motor out front so it is basically just plastic hanging out back.
Thanks for watching! So I drilled the hole on the transom and got an eye bolt with a washer and a bold on the other end. I just remove the eye bolt every time I use the trolling motor.
Ok cool i litteraly bought one today and doin the same project.. also how did you tighten those wood bolts from the fram to the 2x4 with litter clearance? Did you use a swivel to tighten them?
Nicole Garcia We used a ratcheting wrench, it wasn’t easy but we eventually got it done lol. Congratulations on your trailer let me know how it turns out.
Put ya some Guide Post on each side of the trailer , Use a little Larger all thread then slip a long Piece Of PVC down over that it will work like a roller on each side , Mount your Trailer lights on top of that it will keep them out of the water when ya launching the Raider and avoid blown bulbs Etc,,, trust me over time the lights will be a Issue ,I discovered this trick on a boat trailer I had About 20 years ago ,it makes loading up easier and no more water in the lights , I just Got A Raider ,The Build is on now so I'll build the trailer as well like I described , it works , a 1)2 in stick of all thread about 4 ft long Drop a big washer on then A Piece Of schedule 40 PVC pipe just a bit bigger than the all thread so it will spin freely put another big washer on that I used a second Nut to lock the First one and actually attached my Trailer lights bracket to that Second Bolt , I Sold that whole rig so I can't take pics but as soon as I get to that Stage of the Bass Raider Trailer Build I'll Be Glad To Share the Idea , it works with any boat, Any trailer ,and another plus of this is You can see those Guide Post Standing up on the trailer Behind You as your backing down a ramp ,three good reasons for this mod on the trailer,, I have a Couple More that makes the trailer even a bigger help , I have some Tough Places to launch, the ramps are steep but they have to be to avoid silting up , some I don't back down there's a Couple Of things that are helpful to launch at those, ,use a landing wheel on the tongue of your Trailer ,most come with the little small wheel, you can out a little Bigger tire on that , and I just drop that down, lock it in place , I take a Heavy DUTY 5)8 Nylon rope I use a small shackle to attach that to my Trailer and the other end to my truck tow bar , even my fiberglass was light enough I could launch by hand with the rope ,when taking the boat out I would put my truck at Top Of Ramp, use the rope to ease the trailer down into position and tie off securely then load my boat on trailer ,them get in truck pull boat up steep ramp to Level Ground just hook trailer on the ball roll up rope and all Good alot safer than trying to do it in these steep places , it really is Simpler than it Sounds by description ,, but anyhow always looking for a new idea that makes it easier, good job on the raider trailer ,, keep ya Line Tight 🎣 Happy New Year To Ya 🦈🎣😋 that's Dinner 🦈😋
Thanks for watching and thank you for taking time to share your ideas. once you are done with the trailer I would love to see some pictures. I defiantly want to put some ramps because loading the bass raider isn't as easy as I thought it would be lol. I usually end up getting into the water to put it into the right position. My email is derrick_galvan19@hotmail.com once you get the pics send me an email thank you again! Happy New Year!
Thanks for watching! I worked on it 3 or 4 different days and I was at it all day lol I honestly don't remember the exact amount of time but if I had to guess i'd say about 20 hours at least because some of this was time consuming. I ended up spending more money than I wanted to, but this trailer should last a lot longer than a metal trailer plus it was great quality time with my dad.
Your trailer and boat looks great
Thank you brother!

Thank you I appreciate it! Had a bunch of down time during covid when I did this to my boat!
Looks good. I’m planning to turn a harbor freight 4x8 trailer into a boat trailer for my bass raider.
Awesome let me know how it turns out!
Wow, what a great before and after! Keep up the great videos!
Thanks Charlie I really appreciate it bud!
Nicely done . If I was half as handy as you are I’d have my sun dolphin the same as your raider!!!
Sammy Seijas lol Thanks bro! Did your VIN get cleared yet by TPW?
DRock Fishing I called yesterday and they said i should get the registration and title around the second week in July. I just got the pedestals and spring boat bases in. Still picking out seats. Looking at the Yamaha 6hp engine 😄
Sammy Seijas awesome bro it’s going to look nice!
Very nice, and good job. I have the same senario but I'm using bunks and 2x6 or 2x4 planks for the trailer.
thanks for your video, it helps us all.
Thank you for watching! Good luck with your trailer.
Nice set up.
Thank you!
Nice job bro
Thanks bro!
Nice looking trailer I'll admit I figured you redo the bunks on it. You choose to do the flooring way. Very nice

On Point. Thanks for sharing and the time to put it up.
Thank you for watching and for the kind words it means a lot.
Very nice. I have a 10 foot pond prowler. Very similar to your boat. Trailering these boats is the way to go. Just subscribed. Enjoy!!

awesome modified trailer Im looking for one myself to customize for mine
Thanks bud it worked out perfect. Good luck with your trailer!
very well done, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it.
Looks awesome 👌
Thanks bro!
What size trailer is that and what size boat is that?
Do you have to remove the eyebolt in the front transom when you put trolling motor on?
I do but I ended up buying a a 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard so I rarely use the trolling motor now.
When you’re backing the trailer into the water, do you have a problem with the stability as far as floating because of the wooden deck?
No I haven’t had any issues, the deck is pretty heavy.
I have a 2-3 foot overhang on my small motorcycle trailer with a 10E. Would it be fine? I have the battery and trolling motor out front so it is basically just plastic hanging out back.
I think you should be good depending on where the tires are at. Mine hangs out from the trailer about 2 feet.
When standing on casting deck is your boat stable?
Thanks for watching! Yes the boat is very stable with or without the deck.
Damn bro come fix my trailer!! Lol looks great!
Lol when do you want to work on it Danny Boy?!
@@dgalvan529 lol idk bro whenever we go fishing again. Have to have the boat off the trailer lol
Lol that’s true bro.
DRock love the video! Question: how did you put the eye bolt on the transom and still get the trolling motor on there?
Thanks for watching! So I drilled the hole on the transom and got an eye bolt with a washer and a bold on the other end. I just remove the eye bolt every time I use the trolling motor.
How much did you leave overhang off the back??
Thanks for watching. The deck extends about 14 inches from the back of the trailer.
Ok cool i litteraly bought one today and doin the same project.. also how did you tighten those wood bolts from the fram to the 2x4 with litter clearance? Did you use a swivel to tighten them?

Thanks man i appritiate it and i will for sure wish i could send you some pick on here
You can email it dgalvan529@gmail.com good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions.

joseph poncik Thanks for watching I live in The Rio Grade Valley, South Texas.
What paint did you use for the trailer? Is the paint still holding up?
Just used spray paint and yes still holding up.
@@dgalvan529 ok cool ill prably just go with rustolium.. did you lay down a primer first?
Nicole Garcia No I didn’t but I’m sure Rustolium will do good they have some with a primer in it I believe.
@@dgalvan529 cool thanks
Where did you buy the carpet?
Nicole Garcia Lowe’s

Nicole Garcia no problem

@@jakecicur9985 yes that’s what I was told by the previous owner when I bought it.
120 is kinda a rip I just got one this morning for a rat and spider fishing lure 😂 and it was in perfect condition
What can I say, you win some you lose some 😅

Man I have been debating on getting a pelican or kayak or small boat. Looks good man! Subbed and if you get a chance check my channel.
Thanks for the sub bro I’ll do the same. I have both the Bass Raider and a Kayak, I like the Bass Raider better honestly.
@@dgalvan529 Nice! Thanks man greatly appreciated!! Yeah I may need a bit more space than a kayak can offer.
@@SkunkMasterFishing more space an extra fisherman and you can add a motor to it. I have a 2.5 HP Suzuki outboard on mine. Runs great!
