  • This series of videos is to show the restoration of a trailer I acquired and how I am custom fitting it for a Pelican Bass Raider 10E I have recently bought.
    In this video, I prep and paint, install new wiring and pipe lights and new boards. I also install new rims and tires.

    Great Video, I run my light wires threw ½ inch Electric Metallic Tube (EMT) Conduit Because my new puppy chewed up my wires on my harbor freight 1 ton tilt bed trailer. I soldered all connections & put heat shrink over them to make them water tight.

      Thanks CCF, the next video should get interesting. I'll be custom fitting rollers and running boards to keep the boat straight on the trailer and make easy to load and unload. I had me a funny incident setting in the boat on the rollers that thankfully did not get on video.

    Good job on that old trailer. Should serve you well. I like how you did the lights...snazzy.

    What was the purpose of separating the white wire and splicing it to the brown?

    • @borfishing7690
      @borfishing7690  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      My four prong wire harness only had one brown wire. I assume this is the tail/break light wire. I needed to splice a brown wire to go to the other side light. Since I was grounding to the front of the trailer I could use the remaining white wire as a brown wire. Each tail light needs two wires. Usually you will have one side green/brown and the other yellow/brown. Since my harness had only one brown, I repurposed the remaining white as brown.

    I got a pelican hawk 10e. Will the front of the boat take the torque of a winch?

      Fishing Almanac it’s a standard 4x8 trailer I bought used from my brother. You could search Craigslist for a used or get one from Harbor Freight. Good luck
