This is really wonderful! I'm not well-read on Sloterdijk, but you are helping me learn his thought. I appreciate that very much and look forward to continuing the series!
Thank you very much, I appreciate that! I'm trying to improve all the time, but it's more difficult than one might think. Than I had ever thought. Haha.
Thank you! I also wish I posted more regularly. Haha. I'll try to get quicker. I need to... become better at efficiently preparing for a video. And doing the production and all.
Hey John I'm interested when you talk of Sloterdijk's primal catastrophe of leaving the womb and encountering the world. I can't help but think Sloterdijk may be exaggerating this as a trauma? I say this because since kids only become conscious of themselves around 18 months (and the onset of attention is usually 5 months), I don't get this idea of a sudden expulsion from paradise. It feels far more gradual and than sudden. Am I missing something?
Yes. I'm not really sure how to go about it, actually. Haha. I'm not sure how big of a hit it'd be but it seems like it's definitely at least something to try! And as far as I understand, maybe the algorithms now even favor live stuff? Boost those channels?
What flavour of philosophy is this dude Sloterdijk engaging in? Seems to me that his metaphysics is another attempt at resurrecting some kind of religion. It is quite wild of him to assume that 21st century men will take his speculative crypto-religious metaphysics seriously. There was never a sucessful religion/public metaphysics coming from philosophers. Right from Pythagoras to Spinoza to julius evola, synthetic(without supernatural claims) religions/popular metaphysics never appeal to people, for it is always open to doubt and question. He should better claim to be some end-times prophet from YHWH and give his metaphysics the authority that it lacks. This all is so tiresome, why did he even think that all this effort was worth anything?
Deeply appreciated, both commentary and giggles.
Thank you! Good time to start, because the series is ongoing and I'm pickin' up the pace here shortly.

Great video. It's hard to find many Sloterdijkians in the English speaking world.
Great work thank you
Thank you!
This is really good! I wish you posted more videos at least once a week, or month.
